Alpha Damian’s eyes grew wide with confusion as he focused on Alpha Carlos, who was wearing a blank expression. His mind raced with ideas as he tried to make sense of what was going on.
He was not going to accept it or fall for whatever ruse Alpha Carlos was pulling.
The request confused and surprised Beta Frank and Gamma Loan, who also had their eyes fixed on Alpha Carlos.
“What in the hell are you talking about?…. It’s a joke, right? ” Luna Lorienta broke out, fury trembling through her voice. Her fists clenched as her body trembled.
“Do I appear as though I would make light of something so serious?” Alpha Carlos affirmed, forcing an emotionless expression on his face, “I want her back in my pack.”
Their eyebrows shot up together, and their eyes widened.
A cheeky giggle burst from Luna Mavana’s throat, relieving the pressure and drawing all eyes to her.
A smile formed on her lips as she bowed her head and crossed her arms over her chest.
“Is there anything else we should be talking about?” With a raised eyebrow, she asked.
Alpha Carlos’ head snapped up as he looked over at Luna Mavana, who had a blank expression on her pale face.
He was astounded to see that the little brat who had been expelled from his pack had developed wings. With a sideways head tilt, a smirk formed at the corner of his lips.
Stunned, Luna Lorienta glanced at Luna Mavana before turning back to face Alpha Carlos.
Her fist clenched, rage and envy eating deep inside her as invisible steams puffed out of her nostrils and ears.
“I came here to give an order, not to make a request, as I mentioned to Alpha Damian earlier. ” “I do not think there is a problem here,” he said, hiding his embarrassed expression behind a serious one.
“You should not have mentioned anything after My Luna entered. You are making a fool of yourself,” Alpha Damian said, attempting to calm himself down while suppressing the resentment that was slowly building inside of him.
“Alpha, please do not repeat yourself a third time. Send Mavana back to Crest Pack within 48 hours.” He gave the order, got to his feet, and motioned for Luna Lorienta to get up so they could leave, but Luna Mavana’s remark sent them running.
Luna Mavana smirked and said, “I think you need a brain implant.” She then sat up and put her hands on the table. Tension in the room rose as a result of her abrupt outburst.
Luna Lorienta had this strange expression on her face as she agonizedly stared at Mavana before closing her eyes to control her anger and hatred.
Alpha Carlos’s mouth was hanging open, showing his obvious shock. His hands balled into fists and he took a deep breath. For once, he never imagined that Mavana would make fun of him one day. Like she is a regular omega, a silver fur omega.
“Without an investigation, I was expelled from your pack,” Luna Mavana said, her voice trembling. “Dragged to the pack peak, humiliated….. all because I am an Omega, or maybe because my stepsister and stepmother did the worst, leaving me at your mercy.” Luna Mavana rants, her emotions weighing heavily on her.
Her lips began to quiver, and tears welled up in her eyes.
Alpha Damian’s expression, which had been fixed on her, softened with concern. He brought his chair closer to her, gently taking her hand.
“Since you have traveled down from your pack to make ridiculous orders, I am having a thought that you should do as you please,” Alpha Damian stated, aware that the battle line has been drawn despite his lack of understanding as to why Alpha Carlos wants Mavana back.
Alpha Carlos erupted in rage and disgrace as he stepped towards the door, gesturing for Luna Lorienta to stand up.
“This is not the end of it,” Alpha Carlos warned, his tone icy and anguished. He twisted the doorknob and pushed it open, his Luna and guards following behind him.
Beta Frank and Gamma Loan murmured, looking inward.
“So she was not a rogue after all… She suffered for no discernible reason,” Beta Frank muttered, shaking his head sympathetically.
“I wonder why they request her presence though… A banished person can never be invited back into the pack no matter what,” Gamma Loan said, referring to the pack’s constitution.
“Not when an important reason is given,” Beta Frank said, as they both turned to face Alpha Damian.
Luna Mavana, lost in her thoughts, let out a heavy breath she had not realized she would be holding. Her mind became troubled instantly. She had a feeling something was wrong, “I do not think anyone is aware that I am a silver wolf,” she kept telling herself until it occurred to her.
“The assassins,” she exclaimed, her mind clouded with realization. There is no way they would not have informed Alpha Carlos and his damned Luna.
“I wonder why he did not want to reveal my identity to them.” She contemplated…
“Because if he does that, Silverado Pack will never be able to release you to them again. Everyone requires a silver wolf in their pack,” Karina explained.
Her head banged in awareness. “That is the reason why he came, that sly jerk.” She cursed, unaware that she had said it loud enough for Alpha Damian and the others in the room to hear.
Their focus shifted to her, and their intense gaze bore into her.
Her hair stood up, prompting her to open her eyes, only to be met with their inquisitive gaze.
She shifted uncomfortably on her skin, swallowing her fear.
” What is the matter?” Luna Mavana stood up, muttering something.
“Should not we start preparing our soldiers and warriors for war? Anything can happen starting today,” she said, turning towards the door.
The door slammed open, and three guards rushed in, their chests heaving quickly.
Alpha Damian, his beta, and gamma jumped to their feet as if on cue, their curiosity overwhelming them.
“We apologize, Alpha, but there is trouble in the pack.” The first guard emerged, shivering on his feet.
Without saying a word, Alpha Damian’s actions raised thousands of questions.
“The pack’s animal farm has been tampered with, and the villagers are unsettled, along with the alarm that blared earlier.”
