With his nose flaring up and his body jerking with rage, he pushed the door, which opened wide with a consistent squeak.
He furrowed his brow in bewilderment and disgust as he glanced over at the armchairs in the abode, which were occupied by Alpha Carlos and a strange-looking woman. His gaze shifted to their back, where three guards stood alert.
“Wow!… the audacity!”He mouthed, his gaze returning to Alpha Carlos, who had his legs crossed over each other as he rested his back on the chair, hands on the handles.
He scoffed in disbelief and moved over to his designated chair, which was separated from Alpha Carlos and the unfamiliar woman’s chair by a table.
“Hello, Alpha I am Lorienta Fae, the Luna of the Crest pack,” she said, a smile curling up her lips as she stretched her hands out for a shake.
With irritated eyes, he looked down at the hand before taking his seat, a frown on his face.
Luna Lorienta, embarrassed, withdraws her hands and bites her lips before cursing underneath.
“What is your reason for coming?”Alpha Damian inquired, keeping his gaze fixed on Alpha Carlos, who was wearing a mischievous smile.
Alpha Carlos shifted forward after pulling his back off the chair and releasing his crossed-over legs.
“I have a request. No, not a request… I have to make an order.” He gave a sly smile and raised his brow, implying that his request would push the boundaries.
Alpha Damian fixed his gaze on him, not batting an eyelash or furrowing his brow, because he knew how greedy and senseless Alpha Carlos was, and he did not want to show any emotions that he was interested in hearing what Alpha Carlos had to say.
“I thought you came to talk about the attack you made earlier… This is not your pack where you can place an order or request.” Alpha Damian responded, his voice icy and deep.
Luna Lorienta smiled as she heard his voice; she was falling for him in her mind.
“Attack? Why am I going to attack your pack? It would be a waste of time and resources if I did; your pack members despise more attacks within so…” Alpha Carlos smirked, his gaze never leaving Alpha Damian’s face as he searched for signs of emotion.
“I need your Luna, Beta, Gamma, and possibly your mother to be present before I propose the order,” he explained, resting his back on the chair.
Luna Lorienta’s smile faded upon hearing the word Luna. “So, he has a mate?” She muttered to herself, deepening her frown.
Coincidentally, Beta Frank and Gamma Loan walked in. They had come because of the attack news.
Beta Frank’s steps came to a halt when he saw Alpha Carlos, who had turned to face them. His eyes tightened with rage as he stormed towards them, questions brewing in his mind.
“The level of audacity you demonstrate is alarming.” Beta Frank mouthed, his eyes fixed on Luna Lorienta and Alpha Carlos, exuding a hostile aura.
“We heard about the attack,” Gamma Loan muttered, following Beta Frank as they walked towards Alpha Damian, who motioned for them to sit.
Alpha Damian slowly closed his eyes, attempting to form a mind link with his Luna despite having never done so before. He received some sort of advice to take that path.
Luna Mavana arrived on board with a sharp connection, accepting the mind link instantly.
“I want you…..” He paused his thoughts after noticing something unusual about her breathing. He detected more than one heartbeat coming from her.
“Are you alright?” He questioned, something running through his mind, but he did not want to accept it.
“Yes, I just felt tired earlier, but I am fine now.” She responded directly and concisely, which fueled Alpha Damian’s thoughts.
“Come down to the visitor’s lodging in the meeting room.” He ordered, not wanting to involve his mother in the drama that would undoubtedly unfold with the appearance of this. After delivering his message, he drew himself free of the mind link and opened his eyes.
Everyone in the room was staring at him, their glaring eyes almost piercing his skin.
“I guessed your mind linked with Luna; that is a good connection. It might not last long,” Alpha Carlos said, drawing out the final statement to provoke Alpha Carlos, but he remained calm and ignored.
Luna Mavana entered the room with an eloquent and powerful aura, each step landing like a bomb in Lorienta’s heart.
“What the hell?” Luna Lorienta screamed and jolted up from her chair. She could not believe who she saw, and the longer she looked, the more confused she became.
“How could that be?” She stammered, pointing at Luna Mavana, who ignored her delusional ass and unnecessary questions.
Luna Mavana was also taken aback by the sight, but her brave self ignored them as she walked fully into the room, approaching Alpha Damian and pulling out the chair beside him to take a seat.
Luna Lorienta’s gaze could not leave Luna Mavana, who continued to stare at her with abhorrent hatred and envy.
“Since everyone needed in my order has arrived, I should reveal the main reason I am here.” Alpha Carlos spoke as he sat up.
His statement cut through Luna Mavana’s bravery. She instantly felt the wall of confidence and boldness in her crumble. Her body was on fire as she sensed the impending doom that lingered in her thoughts.
To hide her emotions, she batted her eyelashes in fear, closing her eyes tightly and chanting encouraging words to herself.
“Do not worry, you have already explained everything to them. Furthermore, they can not do anything but try to sabotage your relationship with Alpha Damian….. Luna Lorienta is speechless, which serves as an advantage. ” Her lips curled into a smile as she opened her eyes, satisfied.
Beta Frank and Gamma Loan were looking forward to hearing Alpha Carlos’ next statement.
“Mavana is returning to our pack,” Alpha Carlos announced, and silence descended upon the room.
