It was finally dusk, and everyone had gone to their respective homes.
Luna Mavana was directed to the Alpha’s mother room because, according to tradition, the newly crowned Luna must seek advice and warnings from the former Luna.
Her hands grabbed the doorknob and twisted it open. She stepped into the room with a bow in honor of the Alpha’s mother and the other Lunas in the invited pack.
“Take your seat, dear.” The Alpha’s mother smiled and gestured for her to take a seat in the chair behind her, which she did almost immediately.
” As is customary in this Pack, the Alpha’s mother is expected to educate the new Luna on some important topics.
I will begin by teaching you how to address the pack members and the dignitaries of this able Pack.” The Alpha’s mother stated and rose to her feet.
” Due to the high demand for respect in our pack, Our Luna is advised to always look straight when speaking to other pack members. Her head should be bent over while speaking with the Elders. She is not permitted to participate in any conversation unless her Alpha requests her opinion. Finally, on the agenda of respect, other packs are not permitted to have a more beautiful Luna than us.” Her lips curled into a smile after repeating the entire statement with respect.
Mavana’s lip was only partially parted; she appeared confused and tired of the conversations already. “No Luna should be more beautiful than me!” She repeated.
“Now, on the topic of authority, just because I told you to always respect the Elders does not mean you should lower yourself for them to use. As the crowned Luna of this pack, you have the right to support your Alpha or pack members in his absence.” The Alpha’s mother stated that she intentionally added this rule to empower the pack’s female leaders.
Mavana smiled slightly as she processed the last agenda for authority. She was about to speak when Daniel’s mother barged in.
She squeezed her face in disgust and glared at everyone in the room, particularly Mavana. Although Mavana was unaware of her identity, her striking resemblance to Daniel led her to believe she was related to him. Even though she had previously encountered the woman.
” You are a wicked girl, a liar, and a killer. What did my son do to you that caused you to lie about him? Why would he rape someone as dry as you?” She barked, her eyes brimming with rage.
“Are you aware you are talking to the Luna? Luna Mavana of the Silverado Pack!” A random Luna from another pack inquired, surprised at the audacity.
“And so what? She lied against my son to gain favor and become the Luna. What did we ever do to you to deserve such cruel treatment? Especially you, Teresa, who started the whole Chasing the Rat thing. Chasing me and my son out of the pack was not enough; you went on to bribe our closest acquittance to kill us. Do you think we came to this pack for revenge?” She ranted while fake tears streamed down her cheeks. She had a pitiful expression that would make anyone believe her words.
“Pathetic liar!!! When did I ever chase you out of this pack? You left on purpose years ago, when the priest declared Damian to be the Alpha rather than your pathetic son. Clara!!!!!” The Alpha’s mother yelled, clenching her fists and breathing rapidly.
Mavana’s gaze was fixed on Daniel’s mother’s face until she caught the flicker of emotion that confirmed the pretense and lies. She approached the Alpha’s mother and held her shoulder, trying to calm her burning anger.
When she noticed the calm taking over, she raised her hand to stop the ranting old woman in front of them.
“Your first offense was to make false accusations against Luna and yell at her. You, fiery old hag, were you not taught manners?” Luna Mavana spoke, Clara (Daniel’s mother) was taken aback when she heard the statement. All eyes in the room were drawn to Mavana, whose voice alone conveyed authority.
“You should be sent away with your son by tomorrow; negative energy and betrayals have no place in our pack,” she said before leaving the room.
She heaved a heavy sigh of relief as she walked out of the room, “I am surprised at myself.” She leaped joyously, realizing she was not timid, and spoke with confidence and power.
She was still on the happy wheel when her heart started racing and she became restless. She could not identify the sensation. Her Alpha’s thoughts quickly clouded her mind.
She reflected on the kiss they shared a few days ago, “Am I on heat?” She questioned herself, her cheeks turned red, and her body felt extremely hot.
Her eyes were blurry, so she staggered towards Alpha’s room and began knocking on the door.

Alpha strode towards the bathroom, a towel tied around his waist. When he reached the bathtub, he yanked the towel off his waist and took a deep breath before slipping into the tub.
He tilted his head back and relaxed, feeling the warmth seep into his muscles and the gentle sizzling of the shower caressing his skin.
As his thoughts drifted back to the previous event, he found himself smiling proudly.
He never imagined how happy his pack members would be to receive their Luna from the Moon Goddess. It was a dream come true.
His fingers darted to his hair, gently stroking his hair as he wandered off in his thoughts.
He was jerked out of his thoughts by a knock on the door, He stood up from the bathtub and put off the shower before grabbing a towel to tie around his waist.
With a charming grin, he stepped out of the bathroom, his chiseled physique in full display.
Coincidentally, Mavana opened the door, Her breath sulked as she gulped down the view in front of her.
With a smile on her lips, she moved her legs towards Damian, completely unaware of what she was doing.
Like a magnetic pull, Alpha Damian’s hand went to her waist and he pulled her closer to himself. His gaze locked on hers.
The electrifying tension in the room increased as Alpha Damian crashed his lips on hers.
