The room fell silent as everyone focused on the Civil Elder.
He felt no remorse for his actions, but rather tried to justify them, “Do we have to lie to them again?” He inquired with a straight face.
Alpha Damian chuckled softly, lifted his head, and opened his mouth to speak, but Alpha Carlos interrupted with a loud laugh.
“We think alike,” Alpha Carlos muttered between laughs, causing the startled crowd to settle down and listen.
“I have been thinking about how to break the terms of the deal too; I can not let my sister marry someone just because of our pack; it does not speak well.” He mouthed with a sudden, icy expression. Beta Drake raised his head quickly, chuckling in surprise.
The Alpha Carlos he knows does not care about anyone, not even his sister, so why does he want to cancel the terms of the deal? He knows Alpha Carlos is planning something, and the outcome will be bad.
“I am a seer then, Thank God I went straight to our reason for coming here.” Civil Elder grinned from ear to ear. His actions and overfamiliarity irritated Beta Drake and Gamma Loan, but they remained calm because their Alpha did not say anything.
“I am thinking maybe we can just come together and become one. What I mean is having one Alpha, one Luna, and maybe two Betas……..” His conversation was cut short by a bang on the table.
He asked, “Are you normal? “, his hands trembling with rage and confusion in his eyes. “When I say normal, I mean, are you mentally well and in good health?” Gamma Loan hollered. His gaze is fixed on the Civil Elder of the Silverado Pack, who has been saying various things since the start of the meeting.
His eyes scanned the room, from the Elders of Crest Pack down to their Alpha, Beta, and Gamma, who had a puzzled expression on their face, “I do not know what the fuck is going on here, but by the looks of things, I do not think we will grace this deal.” He spoke without regard for their murmurs, fearing reprimand.
Alpha Carlos shook his head in pity, picking up his phone, tapping on the keyboard, and sending a message before smiling. “Since we can not agree on anything, and this Elder keeps spewing nonsense that I believe you discussed before coming here, this meeting will end with the statement that Silverado Pack started the problems that will undoubtedly ensue.” He smirked and quickly stood up, facing the entrance and walking out with his Beta and Gamma, who immediately followed him.
Alpha Damian, who had remained silent since they entered the meeting room, stood up and walked out. He had not taken more than three steps outside the pack house when arrows flew towards him.
” Fuck!” He muttered and dashed towards the car, drawing out his sword and unsheathing it before pointing it at the strange man who approached him.
“Who the hell sent you?” He asked, not wanting to kill anyone. His warriors were alerted and dashed down from the parking lot to meet their Alpha.
The Crest Pack warriors rushed out and confronted them, igniting a bloody battle.
“You trespassed by entering our… His words stuck in his throat as the cold steel edge pressed against his throat and Alpha Damian quickly pulled it, slitting his throat. Blood gushed out instantly. He held his throat in an attempt to stop the bleeding, but his efforts were futile as his body crashed to the floor.
His eyes were wide open, and his breathing ragged until he stopped breathing.
Another man rushed towards Alpha Damian, both hands gripping the sword’s handle, swinging the sword to cut Alpha Damian in the waist. Alpha Damian evaded the sword and delivered a kick to his stomach, staggering backward and charging toward him as soon as he regained his composure.
“You motherfucker.” He yelled at Alpha Damian and stood up to stab him, but Alpha Damian was swift enough. He tightly gripped his neck and hit him on the ground. Alpha Damian picked him up and twisted his neck with his other hand. As soon as his neck was released, he fell silently to the floor.
Beta Frank and Gamma Loan walked quickly after hearing the loud noises and groans outside. They should have gone outside with their Alpha, but someone had stopped them earlier and was asking unnecessary questions.
A strange lady rushed up to them, blocking their path with her hands and legs stretched out. Beta Frank and Gamma Loan exchanged puzzled looks.
Beta Frank, dilating his pupil, inquired, “What is the problem?”
“My name is Erica and I am Luna’s maid.” The lady responded in between her labored breathing from running to meet Beta Frank and Gamma Loan.
“So,” Gamma Loan said, raising an eyebrow.
“I am saying that you should please inform your Alpha that he should not marry our Alpha sister, She is a witch and a deceitful being,” she explained, her hands trembling from the weight of lies she had just spilled, she quickly kept her hand behind her back with a strange smile.
” Okay,” Beta Frank replied, and the two of them dashed outside, only to be met with the startling sight of their warriors clashing with Crest pack warriors.
Three arrows flew at them quickly, “What the fuck?!” Beta Frank mouthed and moved sideways to avoid the arrow, which pierced one of the Crest Pack warriors at their back.
Both of them drew their swords and began fighting back, slashing every being in sight. Surprisingly, Alpha Carlos walked out of the pack house with a forced smile.
“Wow, this is a lot of corpses,” he said as he approached Alpha Damian, who was covered in blood, not his own, but the blood of Crest pack warriors.
Before he could say anything: Alpha Damian let out a howl, an angry one.
He looked up at Alpha Carlos, who had a smirk on his lips, and said, “The only reason I am not fighting back now is that I am giving it up as compensation for wanting to change the terms of the deal but after this…” He sneered without finishing his sentence; any reasonable person with a sense of humor would know what his next words were.
He entered the car after gesturing for his people to do so. Two warriors from the Crest pack positioned their bows to shoot their arrows, but Alpha Carlos stopped them with a satisfied smile.
“Let them go, pack up the corpse, and begin preparing. The battle I have always desired is about to start.” With a mumble, he turned to head back into the pack house.
