Chapter 617: Less Contact with This Guy From Now On

Book:A King Reborn in Shadows Published:2024-11-6

Molly, who had been silent all along, listened to the conversation among the three and felt a tumultuous surge within her heart.
Although she didn’t understand the specifics of business, nor did she know exactly how much funding Rose had secured, the determined look on their faces suggested it was no small sum.
What shocked her most was that, according to Rose, the money was likely related to Flynn.
And Flynn also knew Nathan.
Nathan was the legitimate grandson of the Eahta clan. Although the Fletcher family wasn’t a top-tier clan, Flynn’s connection with him was impressive enough to be noteworthy.
This guy was constantly redefining her worldview!
Hmm… and her moral compass too.
Especially after what happened this morning, which was utterly disgraceful; she blushed just thinking about it.
Scarlet’s cries had left Molly’s throat dry.
Her heart, pure for twenty years, now thumped chaotically.
Molly felt that if she continued to associate with these two, she would inevitably be led astray.
Originally, she had joined Orco Real Estate just to monitor Cruz.
She intended to leave as soon as she got the information she needed.
Now that everything was clear, she had no choice but to stick with Flynn.
If being trashy meant keeping her distance from him, then so be it; he couldn’t corrupt her.
With these thoughts, Molly turned and went to the kitchen, her face flushed as she started drinking soy milk.
Rose, having a rare day off, decided to do some laundry.
As she carried the laundry downstairs, she glanced at the guest room.
With a sigh, she stuffed the clothes into the washing machine and then went straight to the guest room to remove the damp sheets.
“Is Flynn skilled, or is Scarlet just naturally sensitive?… Forget it, just throw them away.”
Though inexperienced, Rose still knew a thing or two about such matters.
Looking at the bedsheet, her face heated up, and she quickly left the room.
Living room.
“I got a bit hurt last night and drank quite a bit, better rest at home today.” Flynn suggested to Scarlet, who was about to go to work.
Scarlet waved her hand, “The people from Terrapin Company are coming to sign a contract today, I have to be there.”
“As for my body, I’m much better now, I must say, your massage skills are amazing.”
Flynn smiled and raised an eyebrow, “How about I give you another massage tonight?”
“The kind without clothes, using essential oils?” Scarlet whispered seductively into Flynn’s ear.
That look, the very image of a siren who could devour a man whole.
Flynn nodded and grinned, “That would be splendid.”
“Cut it out, dream on, I’m not letting you get your way, not going!” Scarlet rolled her eyes and shifted away from him.
Flynn spread his hands, a bit regretful, “Ah, was hoping to discuss going to Pelens tonight, but if you’re not willing, then never mind.”
“Really?” Scarlet’s eyes brightened, clearly excited.
Flynn lazily said, “Found a bit of a lead in Pelens, planning to check it out.”
Two master poison makers had arrived in Shipmeda State, surely with some clandestine purpose.
Flynn wanted to go to Pelens to see what kind of poison Isaac was concocting.
“So we’ll talk tonight?” Scarlet flirted with Flynn, hooking his leg with her tiny foot.
“Up to you, doesn’t bother me.” Flynn leaned back, hands behind his head, a mischievous smile playing on his lips.
“Jerk, every time I’m over, you nearly devour me, my thighs are all bruised from your bites, yet here you are, pretending to be decent!” Scarlet punched Flynn hard, then got up to find Molly.
“Same goes for both of us.” Flynn watched Scarlet’s slender figure, casually picking up a bunch of grapes from the table to eat.
He had barely started when Callie Pearce sent a message.
“Mr. Clark wants to have fun, let’s go to Jade Dragon Mountain then, its summit boasts acres of lush bamboo groves, the scenery is spectacular.”
“I also found out about a secret from ten years ago related to your mother.”
At three in the morning, Flynn saw the message from Callie Pearce and replied before falling asleep.
Now, Callie Pearce had arranged to meet him at Jade Dragon Mountain and had also uncovered information about Adrianna Noble.
Flynn, invigorated, immediately responded, “I’m on my way!”
After sending the message, he briefly informed Scarlet about the situation and then quickly left Rose’s villa.
“Flynn, wait!” Molly ran out after him, hesitated for a moment, and finally bit her lip and said:
“I lost the paper you gave me.”
“I know…” Flynn blurted out, anxious to learn about his mother’s whereabouts without thinking.
Once the words were out, Flynn realized his mistake, a chill running down his spine.
He had been pretending to be a senior brother all day yesterday; if Molly found out, she would definitely fight him tooth and nail.
“Huh?” Molly was also startled.
Flynn quickly changed the subject, feigning confusion, “What did you just say?”
“I lost the paper you gave me, go ahead and get mad if you want,” Molly said softly, fiddling with the hem of her garment, looking like a schoolgirl who had made a mistake.
Seeing Molly like this, Flynn couldn’t help but feel a mix of laughter and tears. How wonderful it would be if she could always be this way.
But Flynn knew that was impossible.
She only acted so meek when asking for his help; behind his back, she still cursed him relentlessly.
“What else can I say?”
“Your boxing movements are not standardized, which means your basics are also problematic.”
“Forget about ‘The Eighteen Forms of the Celestial Blade’ for now; I’ll teach you myself in a few days.”
With that, Flynn left straight away.
“Teach me personally? Does that mean I have to deal with this jerk every day?” Molly stood there stunned, involuntarily pulling up the zipper of her jacket.
Flynn soon arrived at Jade Dragon Mountain.
Located on the west side of Cloudgate Mountain and twelve miles from it, it was north of the downtown area.
The mountains surrounded it, and streams murmured through.
At the summit, clouds and mist swirled around, and bamboo groves flickered in and out of view, seemingly silent yet vibrant with life.
As soon as Flynn got out of the car, he felt the abundant spiritual energy, which opened his pores and brought immense comfort.
“Huh? Jade Dragon Mountain is actually on the Niarak dragon vein! What a feng shui treasure! Especially at the summit, where the spiritual energy is abundant and gathers,” Flynn could barely hide his delight after just a glance.
Wasn’t this the perfect place he had been seeking for cultivation?
Moreover, if he grew medicinal herbs here with his special cultivation methods, their efficacy would be hundreds of times stronger than those grown elsewhere.
Having been in Niarak for over two months, Flynn had been busy with business and had long neglected his martial arts.
If the crazy old man knew, he would definitely get scolded.
You see, despite the old man’s constant talk of women, when it came to training, he would pull up his pants and leave even if surrounded by beauties.
Flynn decided to inquire about the ownership of the mountain, aiming to buy it.
While he was pondering this, Callie Pearce approached, wearing tight dark jeans that highlighted her tall, slender figure.
She paired them with a white loose-fitting shirt, slightly open to reveal her attractive collarbone and ample chest.
In previous meetings, Callie Pearce had worn traditional long dresses.
He hadn’t expected her to look so beautiful in this attire.
Had it not been for Callie Pearce’s still graceful and dignified walk, Flynn would hardly have recognized her.
“Mr. Clark, you arrived quickly,” Callie Pearce said with a smile, gracefully linking her arm with Flynn’s.
“Ms. Pearce, you look even more beautiful. Let’s walk and talk,” Flynn complimented her, eager to learn about his mother’s whereabouts.
Hearing Flynn’s compliment, Callie Pearce’s eyes crinkled into crescent moons, her gaze filled with affection as she softly said, “Alright, I’ll accompany Mr. Clark and we can talk as we walk…”
