Judge’s words were indeed irrefutable!
If a strong person of that level took action, Billy would have no chance to intervene!
“We’ll see when the time comes!” Charity responded with a slight twitch of her mouth.
“Little missy, how long can the seal hold?” Stout asked.
“I don’t know!” Charity shook her head. “Maybe a hundred years, maybe a day!”
“Why don’t we run while the seal is still intact? If we wait any longer, it might be too late!” Stout paused before continuing.
“If the demon breaks free, the Heaven Alliance people will handle it. We shouldn’t worry unnecessarily, right?”
“He was sealed by someone our Ancestor invited!” Charity replied. “If he gets out, the first target will be our family. Do you think I can run?”
“Alright then!” Stout pouted in response.
“Miss Charity, I don’t know if I can help, but let’s take a look first!” Billy suggested.
“Okay!” Charity said and led the group forward.
After about fifteen minutes, they arrived at a somewhat open valley entrance.
From a distance of several hundred meters, they could see a large pit with a diameter of about a kilometer, from which an extremely chilling aura emanated.
“Miss Charity, is the demon sealed in that pit?” Azure Dragon asked, pointing ahead.
“Yes!” Charity nodded.
“Charity, why are you here?” At that moment, an old man’s voice sounded. Soon, a white-haired elder led about twenty people out of the forest on the right side.
It was clear these people were guarding the seal.
Billy roughly assessed their cultivation levels and squinted slightly.
Except for the three in front whose exact levels he couldn’t discern, all the others were at the Returning Source Realm!
The strongest was at the sixth-rank Returning Source Realm, and the weakest was at the fourth-rank Holy Realm!
This lineup was quite formidable!
“Grandfather!” Charity greeted the white-haired elder.
“Charity, who are they?” asked Gideon Muir, the white-haired elder, while glancing at Billy and the others.
“This is Mr. Billy!” Charity introduced, pointing to Billy.
“Oh?” Hearing this name, Gideon Muir and his group were taken aback.
Although they didn’t know Billy personally, they had certainly heard of him.
“I’ve long heard of Mr. Billy. Nice to meet you!” Gideon Muir bowed slightly.
“Old Muir, you’re too kind!” Billy bowed in return.
“Mr. Billy, may I ask if the Nine Dragons Cauldron is really with you?” Gideon Muir continued.
“Yes!” Billy nodded.
“Then can Mr. Billy use the Nine Dragons Cauldron to fend off enemies?” Gideon Muir asked again.
“No!” Billy shook his head. “At least not yet!”
“No?” Gideon Muir was stunned and glanced at Charity in surprise.
Clearly, he thought his granddaughter had brought Billy here to use the Nine Dragons Cauldron to subdue the sealed demon!
They knew very well that although the being in the pit was terrifying, it was nothing compared to the Nine Dragons Cauldron!
The top-ranked Sacred Object among the ten Sacred Objects, it was unmatched even in the seventh-rank star domain and possibly even in the eighth-rank star domain!
But now, hearing that Billy couldn’t yet use the Nine Dragons Cauldron to fight, their newly risen hope dimmed again.
“Mr. Billy has a blade that can break The Wilderness Demonic Clan’s seal!” Charity added. “And Sanaa specifically asked him to find me, so it shouldn’t be without reason!”
“Oh?” Gideon Muir was surprised again. “Mr. Billy, do you know Miss Sanaa?”
“Miss Sanaa has been kind to us!” Billy nodded.
“If Miss Sanaa sent Mr. Billy here, then perhaps it’s worth a try!” Gideon Muir paused before continuing. “Mr. Billy, may I see your blade?”
“Sure!” Billy handed over his blade.
Gideon Muir examined it carefully before passing it to an elderly man in gray robes behind him. “Grand Elder, take a look!”
“Alright!” The gray-robed elder took it and examined it for a while before handing it back to Billy. “Mr. Billy, where did you get this blade?”
“It was given to me by a senior,” Billy replied and then asked, “Grand Elder, can you tell where this blade came from?”
“I’m afraid I’m not knowledgeable enough to determine that,” Grand Elder shook his head. “But this blade is certainly extraordinary!”
Many people had said this before, but no one could pinpoint its exact origin!
“Grand Elder, did you discover something?” Charity asked.
“If my guess is correct, this blade should have a spirit!” Grand Elder replied. “However, its spirit hasn’t been fully awakened yet, so its power is likely less than one-tenth of its potential!”
“A spirit?” Billy and Casey were taken aback.
They recalled how recently they had tried to have Yin-yang Infinite Furnace reshape the blade, but it had resisted fiercely.
“Grand Elder, do knives have spirits?” Casey asked. “Isn’t spirit something only living beings possess?”
“Generally speaking, yes!” Grand Elder nodded. “But if human consciousness is infused into an inanimate object, it can gain a spirit!”
He continued to explain: “For example, the Nine Dragons Cauldron is theoretically just a bell and cauldron.”
“But an unparalleled expert infused human consciousness into it, giving it a spirit; otherwise, it wouldn’t choose its own master.”
“I see!” Casey and others nodded in partial understanding.
“Ha ha…” At that moment, a raspy voice that made their skin crawl echoed through the valley as the ground shook several times.
“What the hell is going on?” Bob shouted.
“Duskreaper!” Charity replied.
“Duskreaper?” Bob was puzzled. “Is that the demon sealed inside?”
“Yes!” Charity nodded and looked at Gideon Muir: “Grandfather, how are things lately?”
“Not very optimistic!” Gideon Muir shook his head. “The seal can hold for at most a few more months…”
“Haha…” Before he could finish speaking, the raspy voice interrupted again: “A few months? Old Muir, you’re quite optimistic!”
“In no more than three days, I’ll make sure your Muir family is wiped out!”
“What?!” Gideon Muir and his group’s faces changed simultaneously.
“It seems things are worse than we thought!” Gideon Muir said gravely.
“Are you scared now?” Duskreaper continued.
“I told you centuries ago that if you released me voluntarily, I would spare your family. But you refused. Do you regret it now?”
“You think I would believe you?” Gideon Muir frowned deeply.
“Hehe…” Duskreaper sneered. “Indeed, you shouldn’t!”
“When your ancestor invited someone to seal me centuries ago, I swore that once I got out, I would erase your family from existence!”
“But if you had released me voluntarily back then, I might have allowed your family to continue its bloodline. That was your only chance.”
“But you wasted it!”
Rumble! Rumble!
As his words fell, deafening sounds echoed through the valley as the ground shook violently and several deep chasms appeared near the pit.
“Damn it!” Gideon Muir shouted gravely: “Form up!”
