The man calmly replied, “Sir, I am just a small figure. You don’t need to know my name. My master has asked me to bring you to him. I hope you don’t mind.”
“Who is your master? And where is my driver?”
“Your driver is fine. As for my master, you will soon find out.”
After more than ten minutes, the Rolls-Royce drove into a desolate area.
This place resembled a junkyard, filled with scrap metal and numerous abandoned cars.
The Rolls-Royce stopped in an open space. The surroundings were dimly lit, and there was not a sound, making it feel very eerie.
“Sir, we have arrived. Please get out of the car,” the driver said to Leo as he turned his head.
Leo opened the car door and calmly got out.
The driver also got out from the driver’s seat, walked a few steps towards the shadows ahead, then bent down and bowed, “Master, I have brought him. Do you have any other instructions?”
“You may leave,” a cold male voice came from the shadows.
The driver bowed again, then turned and walked towards the Rolls-Royce, about to drive away.
Leo suddenly said coldly, “You can leave, but the car stays.”
The driver was taken aback at first, then couldn’t help but laugh, “You won’t exist in this world much longer. What use is the car to you?”
Leo snorted coldly, extended his right hand, and flicked his fingers lightly at the driver.
With a “whoosh,” a flame shot out from Leo’s hand and hit the driver’s body in an instant.
The driver’s body was instantly engulfed in flames and quickly turned to ashes amidst his agonizing screams.
After dealing with the driver, Leo turned to look at the shadows and said coldly, “Aren’t you coming out?”
From the shadows emerged a black figure.
The reason it was described as a black figure was that the person who emerged was entirely clad in black, even their face hidden within a cloak.
“Impressive skills, Esper,” the black figure spoke again.
Leo scanned with his mind and immediately understood the essence of the other party. He asked, “Are you a vampire from The Covenant or The Devil’s Party?”
Leo’s question made the pale face of the shadow change color, “Who exactly are you? How do you know I’m a vampire?”
“I am someone you cannot afford to provoke. Tell me, why did you lure me here?”
“You really are forgetful. You just took two hundred million dollars from Caesar’s Palace, and you’ve already forgotten?” The shadow sneered.
“Oh, so you want to take back the money you lost,” Leo had long anticipated that two hundred million dollars wouldn’t be taken so easily. “Now tell me, are you a vampire from The Covenant or The Devil’s Party?”
“Does it matter to you whether I’m from The Covenant or The Devil’s Party?”
“If you’re from The Covenant, I might spare your life for the sake of our acquaintance. If you’re from The Devil’s Party, then sorry, you’ll soon meet your progenitor,” Leo said arrogantly and decisively.
Feeling Leo’s overwhelming aura pressing down on him, the shadow couldn’t help but tense up.
“I am Rupert, Marquis of House Lessane of The Devil’s Party. Remember my name because you won’t live to see tomorrow.”
Leo couldn’t help but laugh, “A mere marquis dares to speak such big words in front of me. Truly ignorant and fearless.”
“Atrarian, I am the leader of House Lessane’s elite council. Even the dukes of my family may not be stronger than me. How dare you speak so arrogantly!” Rupert shouted angrily.
Leo sighed helplessly, “Words are useless. Let’s fight.”
Rupert let out a sharp cry, followed by an explosion from nowhere. Then a mass of black and red mist appeared out of nowhere and began to engulf Leo.
The eerie black and red mist was accompanied by ghostly wails and howls that sent chills down one’s spine.
Leo showed no fear on his face. He flipped his right hand and directly cast a talisman.
Immediately, a Firedrake appeared in mid-air with overwhelming force, burning everything in its path as it charged toward the black and red mist.
After a loud explosion, both the Firedrake and the eerie black and red mist disappeared simultaneously.
Rupert’s expression changed as he made a strange gesture with his hands, his pale fingers turning an eerie red.
The black and red mist that had been dispersed by the Firedrake suddenly regrouped and quickly enveloped Leo at lightning speed.
The red threads within the mist surged into Leo’s body all at once.
Leo’s body trembled slightly before becoming completely immobilized as if frozen.
As the black and red mist dissipated, Rupert stood opposite Leo with a smug smile on his face, “Atrarian, it’s unfortunate that you’ve fallen into my death mist. Your body will be immobile for three minutes. Now you can die!”
As Rupert finished speaking, he waved his right hand, and a beam of blood-red light shot towards Leo.
Just as the blood-red light was about to hit Leo, his body suddenly flickered and easily dodged it.
Then the red threads that had entered Leo’s body frantically surged out and rushed towards Rupert at an even faster speed.
Rupert had initially thought he could easily deal with Leo and was completely unprepared. By the time he reacted, it was too late.
The red threads showed no distinction between friend and foe and desperately drilled into Rupert’s body.
Just like Leo earlier, Rupert’s body trembled before becoming stiff as if frozen.
“In Atrarian terms, this is called ‘returning the favor.’ How does it feel, Rupert?” Leo asked with a smile.
“How could you reflect my dark curse at me!?” Although Rupert’s body couldn’t move, his tongue could still move, allowing him to speak in disbelief.
Leo smiled and replied, “The reason is simple: because I am much stronger than you.”
“Who exactly are you!?” Rupert’s voice was hysterical.
“Who I am is not important. What matters is that you know it was I who killed you!”
“Foolish Atrarian! You’ve already missed your chance to kill me.” A sinister smile appeared on Rupert’s pale, stiff face as he suddenly retreated.
He had broken free from his frozen state.
In response, Leo merely shrugged indifferently and said, “Rupert, you need to understand one fact: killing you is as easy as pie for me.”
“Arrogant fool!” Rupert let out a sharp growl from his throat and suddenly extended his ten fingers towards Leo.
Ten beams of black light shot out from Rupert’s ten fingers, aimed directly at Leo.
This attack was Rupert’s ultimate skill-black light death strike-which consumed his essential power.
Unfortunately for him, in the face of absolute strength, any attack was futile.
