Chapter 1689: Two Billion Dollars

Book:The All-powerful Son-In-Law Published:2024-11-6

The first dice showed six, the second dice also showed six, and the third dice was split in half, one half showing six and the other half showing one.
“Three sixes and one one, a total of nineteen points. I win,” Leo said with a sly glint in his eyes.
All the gamblers were stunned-wasn’t this something you only saw in movies?
Bella was also shocked. Shattering a dice wasn’t as simple as it looked in films; it required superhuman strength. This Atrarian was truly formidable!
Jason’s smile vanished, his face turning ashen as if someone had painted it with green oil.
After a long moment, Bella looked at Leo with admiration and said slowly, “Sir, you are very skilled. I lost this round.”
“Incredible… This Atrarian is indeed a master…”
The gamblers, after their initial shock, began to applaud.
Jack quickly chimed in, “Sir, you must be a god in disguise. That was simply miraculous. It is my honor to serve you today.”
Leo smiled slightly. “Just lucky.”
Bella was seething inside but maintained her composure. “Sir, let’s proceed to the second round.”
“After you,” Leo said gracefully, raising his hand.
After the waiter brought new dice, Bella picked them up, a fierce look flashing across her beautiful face.
The VIP room fell silent again as everyone anticipated the second round.
Bella’s expression tightened suddenly, and the rapid sound of shaking dice poured out like a storm.
The dense rhythm seemed to have a peculiar magic, making everyone’s hearts race and faces flush.
Leo listened quietly to the dice sounds, closing his eyes gradually.
This time, Bella shook the dice for quite a while, a full thirty seconds.
Just as everyone was getting anxious, the dice cup finally hit the table heavily.
Leo slowly opened his eyes to find Bella staring intently at him.
Upon closer inspection, one could see that Bella’s forehead was covered in fine sweat as if she had put all her effort into this shake!
Leo smiled slightly and said, “Please reveal the dice.”
A cold smile appeared on Bella’s lips as she gently lifted the cup. Instantly, everyone widened their eyes in shock.
The first dice showed one, and the second dice also showed one, but the third dice had shattered into fine powder!
“A dice actually shattered! That’s even more exaggerated than the Atrarian’s trick earlier…”
“Three dice, two points… This is a sure win…”
The gamblers were once again in an uproar, amazed beyond belief.
Jason’s spirits lifted immediately. “Shattered dice don’t count. Miss Bella has two points. Bring another new dice.”
The waiter quickly brought a new crystal dice and cleaned up the fragments efficiently.
“Please,” Bella said provocatively, looking at Leo.
She didn’t believe Leo could turn two dice into powder because that was beyond human capability.
Leo calmly picked up the dice and the cup.
Jack stood behind Leo, sweating nervously for him.
Leo placed the dice in the cup and shook it gently. The sound of the dice was crisp and pleasant, like music dancing in the room.
After just four or five seconds, Leo put down the cup and stretched lazily with a relaxed expression.
The gamblers exchanged glances, showing signs of surprise.
Could this Atrarian be so calm because he was going to win?
Bella remained expressionless but felt a twinge of worry inside.
Jason was anxious and shouted, “Sir, since you’ve placed the cup down, please reveal the dice.”
“Perhaps I should pray for God’s blessing,” Leo said humorously before revealing the dice, causing laughter in the room.
When the cup was lifted, no one in the VIP room was laughing anymore.
Three dice had turned into three piles of sparkling powder, shining like stars under the light.
“How is this possible… Oh my God, I’ve witnessed a great miracle today…”
The gamblers exclaimed loudly, probably annoying even God himself.
Bella’s confidence shattered completely, her face full of shock and disbelief.
Jason was also dumbfounded. He hadn’t expected to lose and certainly not so thoroughly.
In the surveillance room, a man in black let out a chilling laugh. “As expected, he’s an Esper.”
Alan also looked unsurprised and whispered, “Sir, what should we do now?”
“Tell Jason we concede and pay up,” the man in black stood up, his large black cloak billowing behind him. “Also, inform Rupert that I don’t want this Atrarian to see tomorrow’s sun.”
“Yes, Lord Galloway,” Alan bowed respectfully.
Galloway turned around, his wide cloak creating a breeze as he disappeared into the darkness.
Alan straightened up and instructed through his earpiece, “Jason, we concede. Pay the Atrarian and ask him to leave.”
In the VIP room, Jason received Alan’s order. His expression changed slightly before returning to normal.
“Hahaha! Sir, you are indeed skilled. I am impressed,” Jason laughed and clapped. “The game is over; we concede.”
Bella looked dejected; her confidence had taken a huge hit.
The onlookers cheered and applauded.
Soon after, a check for two billion dollars was presented to Leo.
Putting the check in his pocket, Leo turned to leave.
Jack quickly called out, “Sir, please wait. Do you need me to exchange your chips?”
Leo glanced at Jack’s tray of chips and smiled freely. “Give half of the chips to you and donate the other half to charity.”
Jack couldn’t believe his luck and thanked Leo profusely. “Thank you for your generosity.”
In the surveillance room, Alan watched Leo’s departing figure with a sharp glint in his eye.
Outside the casino doors, Leo waved his hand, and a Rolls-Royce quickly pulled up beside him.
He opened the door and got in. “Gavin, back to the hotel,” he instructed.
Gavin had somehow acquired a hat and nodded slightly before driving away from the casino.
The Rolls-Royce moved smoothly along a main road soon after.
A few minutes later, Leo realized they weren’t heading toward the hotel.
“Gavin, where are you taking me?” Leo asked coldly, sensing something amiss.
The driver didn’t respond but instead sped up.
Leo’s powerful aura of danger erupted. The driver finally turned around-it wasn’t Gavin but a stranger who resembled him in build and appearance.
“Who are you?” Leo asked coldly.
