A smirk appeared on Luna’s lips. She could perceive the agitation in his tone. She needed hands to join with hers and find Ava. But first, she needs to be sure that Adrian didn’t have her.
“I don’t know what you know or have heard about my mother, but please, don’t drag her into this. I might not have a perfect marriage with Ava, but that doesn’t mean I will hurt her for another woman” Adrian Lester stuttered but a part of him was debunking his claim.
Hadn’t he hurt Ava several times in the past just to have his way with Lola? Hadn’t he bruised her ego when he went into intimate moments with Lola and the social media helped him propagate it?
Hadn’t he used foul words on her just to make her feel inferior to his supposed girlfriend? He wasn’t telling the truth there.
Luna Wesley turned herself to glare at him. A guilt filled face stared back at her and she sighed. But one thing is clear, Ava was sure, he didn’t like her at all. She was his greatest mistake.
“Here, find me” Luna said and forced a piece of paper in his hands. And walked out. Adrian glanced at the piece of paper and went after Luna.
She’d ignited his anxiousness, he cannot let her go. He caught up with her just as she was about to step into the elevator.
“I’ve postponed my meeting, I want us to talk. Probably this is not the best place for that. I’ll take you somewhere else where we can talk” he coaxed.
Luna was quiet and stepped into the elevator. Adrian got in as well and the elevator shut on them. He glanced at the woman and said “please tell me everything about Ava’s last moment on earth. I crazily wants to know”
Luna chuckled softly and said “Do you think Ava is dead?” She asked and went quiet, giving Adrian a feisty stare. Is he acting or he simply accepted the news that way?
“What are you saying? Of course she’s dead. I got her ashes and built a tomb for her. How can she not be dead?” Adrian blurted, goosebumps appeared on his skin.
He was there on the day the incident happened. Ava was burnt beyond recognition with his baby in her belly. What on earth is Luna or whatever she calls herself saying?
“I don’t like being stalked, Adrian Lester. Good day” Luna declared and walked out of the elevator. It’s enough for Adrian to know that the woman isn’t interested in talking about Ava with him anymore.
He would find her. She kept the address in a file and felt uncomfortable. What is wrong, why did this woman come to see him and give him a taste of what he should expect, and then walk away?
He wouldn’t have given her an audience but because she said it’s about Ava Leon and now, she makes him recall moments of his evilness towards her, why?
As Luna Wesley got off, she sighed softly. Thank goodness, she restrained herself from saying anything else to that spoiled brat. He probably might not know a thing about Ava.
In that case, where is Ava? Her dear friend is not dead. No matter how much anyone tried to explain things to her, she would never believe that she died.
She shared the same cell room with her. That night they slept in the room together. Just to step out and return, she was said to be dead as a result of the fire outbreak?
What kind of fire outbreak was capable of burning a whole human being to ashes within seconds to the level she couldn’t be recognised and only ashes left behind?
It’s less than ten minutes that she leaves and returns and Ava is dead. Burnt beyond recognition she heard and the bed where she laid was not burnt. The bedspread only had a hard smell of smoke and yet the person who slept on the bed was burnt beyond recognition.
Someone definitely whisked her away and before she could say something, her mattress was taken away. Oh gosh, they can’t fool her like others.
When did the human body become so flammable as linen? But what gave her the assurance that Ava Leon was still alive was when she was offered a state pardon.
For many years, her lawyer has tried to push the file forward but to no avail. And the only clue she got was that someone tried to keep her promise.
And there could only be one person, capable of doing that, Ava Leon. She’s such a pure soul that anyone would want to get acquainted to.
As she got to her apartment, a suburb at the outskirts of the city, she found her telephone blinking for messages.
“I’ll call you by 8pm”
That’s the message. Isn’t it weird? Who could this be? Is it the private detective she hired to help her find her son? How she desperately wants to see and meet her son again.
That she-devil was the reason she couldn’t be with her son. She took her freedom from her and more than that, her son was separated from her. No matter how long it takes, she will get revenge. She isn’t going to leave it for Karma to handle, she would handle it herself.
But what is more important to her is her son. She’ll take it one at a time. She’d been hiding away for two years and rarely steps out and when she does, it will be a calculated movement.
In X-city, Aurora asked her bodyguards “Did you leave her the message?” She needs to contact Luna again. That woman really was a friend and helped her back then.
She’ll never forget good memories as much as she cannot stop remembering those bad ones either. Her momma would be visiting X-city soon and she wants them both to come over.
“Yes, ma’am” the bodyguard responded. Aurora nodded, a faint smile appeared on her lips as she imagined the shock that would be on Luna Wesley’s face when they would eventually meet again.
Did she also believe that She’d died? Aurora thought.
