3rd person’s POV
“The Bloodmoon Pack are really strong to crack and you have said,” Maksim remarked with an insider information we were having on them, we’ve not been able to win them their Warriors are as strong just as Dimitri, we must win this battle by all means.
After the Battle, Maksim and Zane had head over to the Twilight Fang Pack, they were both meeting Alpha Damien and Kayden in an hidden cave just at the border of the Twilight Fang Pack.
“I told you before that the Bloodmoon pack are a hard nut to crack” Alpha Damien responded, we can’t afford to lose this battle, Dimitri will come after us. We need to re strategize and make our move on them again very fast.
“Perhaps we could change the poison we were using, since they’ve found the antidote to the poison, we are using,” Zane suggested.
Yes, that is a good idea, Kayden said.
And they all nodded.
“And how about we single out Dimitri and I am Zane face him,” Maksim said. I could use his weakness against him.
I learnt his Lycan form was cursed by the Moon Goddess, and I took a keen look at him during tonight’s battle, I see him trying to control it.
We can lure him out and face him alone, while our Warriors face his warriors and use a poisonous sword to fight.
“And also your daughter, his Luna seem to be stronger than I thought, ” Maksim said turning to face Alpha Damien, should our warriors attack her harder or if possible get rid of her.
Alpha Damien swallowed hard, clenching his fist, he remained silence thinking of the response to give, Kayden also lock gaze with him awaiting his response.
Ehm- Ehm, he hesitated as he speaks, they shouldn’t attack her to kill her and they shouldn’t use the poisonous sword on her, but they can injure her to stop her from attacking them. Once Dimitri is out of the picture now, she will have no choice than to come back to her senses and come back home.
“Okay then,” Maksim said with a nod, I will inform my Men.
Kayden feel relaxed, for the first time since the battle begins, he had always thought of it that one day, Kate will eventually be lost in battle with the rate at which the rogues are attacking the Bloodmoon Pack, but now that her father has said this, he might finally get to claim Kate as his Mate after the Battle since Celine is now out of the picture.

The sun had barely risen when the Bloodmoon pack received a message. Maksim the rogue leader sent a message challenging Dimitri to a fight with him and his second in command, and had offered to stop the attack if Dimitri won them in the challenge, The rogues are now assembled at the outskirts of the Bloodmoon Pack’s territory, waiting just beyond the southern border. It wasn’t unusual for them to send messages before attacking them, but this one was different. They are there to issue a challenge.
The message had been delivered by one of the scouts, a young warrior with eyes wide from the encounter. “He says he’s the rogue leader, and he’s demanding to meet with you, Alpha. Says he’s not leaving until you face him.”
Dimitri’s blood ran cold at the words. The Maksim had not gotten himself in the attacks up until now, a puppet master pulling the strings from behind the scenes. They had only seen him in person once since the attack started. But now, he was here, taunting them, and he wanted to face Dimitri directly.
The weight of the pack’s eyes was heavy on Dimitri as he stood before his warriors, Kate by his side. His hands clenched into fists at his sides, his cursed Lycan blood stirring at the thought of confrontation. Every instinct screamed at him to go, to face this rogue and end the threat once and for all. But deep down, Dimitri knew that this wasn’t just about a fight. The rogue leader had come for something more. He was trying to draw out the beast within Dimitri.
“Are you sure about this?” Kate asked quietly, her voice filled with concern. “He’s trying to bait you. You know that.”
Dimitri’s jaw tightened. “I know. But I can’t ignore this challenge. If I don’t face him, it’ll be seen as a weakness. And right now, we can’t afford to show any weakness.”
And also if this is what will stop the attack on my people and my pack, I’m willing to take the challenge, and i can even get rid of him and his second in command once and for all.
Kate’s hand gently rested on his arm, grounding him as it always did. “You’re not weak, Dimitri. But you have to keep your head. This is exactly what he wants-he’s trying to make you lose control.”
Dimitri met her gaze, his heart heavy with the burden of leadership and the constant battle within himself. “I’ll be careful,” he promised, though he wasn’t sure he believed it himself. The beast inside him was already stirring, sensing the coming fight, hungry for blood.
” Since it will be two of them that will be fighting you,” Louis said. I should also join you in fighting them l, with that it will be fair enough.
“No, you should stay behind and held the pack while I fight them,” Dimitri responded, we can’t trust them i sense this challenge is to lure me away from my warriors, so they might launch a surprise attack, get our Men ready across the border, and ensure they are all at alert. We must not give them any chances to infiltrate our pack.
As the pack gathered near the southern border, tension rippled through the air. Maksim and his second in command, Zane stood at the edge of the trees, tall and broad-shouldered, their presence imposing even from a distance. Maksim’s dark, wild eyes gleamed with a mix of malice and amusement as he saw Dimitri approach.
“Dimitri, the great Alpha of the Bloodmoon Pack,” the rogue leader called out, his voice dripping with mockery. “I’ve heard so much about you. I’ve heard about your strength, your leadership… and your curse.”
Dimitri’s eyes narrowed, the heat of anger rising in his chest. The rogue’s taunting words cut deep, but he kept his expression cold and unreadable.
The rogue leader stepped forward, a sneer curling his lips. “What’s the matter, Alpha? Afraid to show your true self? Afraid your little Luna might see what kind of monster you really are?”
The words were like gasoline on a fire. Dimitri could feel the beast clawing at his mind, demanding to be unleashed. His vision darkened for a moment, the world narrowing to just the rogue leader and the rage boiling in his veins.
“Enough!” Dimitri growled, stepping forward. “You came here to challenge me, so let’s get this over with.”
The rogue leader chuckled darkly, his amusement only deepening. “Oh, I came here for more than just a fight, Dimitri. I came here to watch you fall. To watch that curse of yours consume you, because we both know it’s only a matter of time.”
The words echoed in Dimitri’s mind, feeding the growing storm within him. He could feel his control slipping, the cursed blood pumping through his veins like fire. But he couldn’t let it take over. Not here, not now. The pack was watching. Kate was watching.
“You think you can break me?” Dimitri snarled, his voice low and dangerous. “You’re nothing more than a coward hiding behind others, sending rogues to do your dirty work. But now you’ll face me, one on one.”
The rogue leader’s smile faltered, his eyes narrowing. “Fine,” he said, stepping forward. “Let’s see if you can keep that beast of yours in check.”
Dimitri moved faster than he thought possible, closing the distance between them in an instant. The rogue leader barely had time to react before Dimitri’s fist connected with his jaw, sending him stumbling back. But the rogue recovered quickly, his eyes flashing with fury as he lunged at Dimitri with surprising speed and strength.
Zane also lung forward toward Dimitri with full force,
The three of them clashed violently, the sound of their blows echoing through the clearing. The rogues were strong, but Dimitri was stronger, his rage fueling his every move. He fought with precision and power, his mind focused on the task at hand. But with every punch, every strike, the beast inside him roared louder, begging to be released.
The rogue leader was relentless, his attacks aimed not just at Dimitri’s body but at his mind. “I can see it, Dimitri,” the rogue hissed between gritted teeth as they grappled. “I can see the beast in your eyes. It’s dying to get out, isn’t it?”
Dimitri’s breath came in ragged gasps as he struggled to keep control. He could feel his muscles straining, his vision darkening at the edges. The cursed blood was too strong, too fierce. He couldn’t hold it back much longer.
With a vicious snarl, the rogue leader slashed at Dimitri’s chest, drawing blood. The pain was sharp, but it only fueled the rage inside him. Dimitri’s vision flickered, the edges of his control fraying as the beast surged forward.
“Dimitri!” Kate’s voice cut through the chaos, sharp and clear.
For a moment, the world stilled. Dimitri blinked, his senses sharpening as he focused on her voice. He couldn’t lose control. Not here. Not now.
With a roar, Dimitri slammed the Zane to the ground, pinning him beneath his weight. His hands trembled as he held Zane’s throat, his claws itching to tear into his flesh. But he didn’t. He forced the beast back, forced the cursed blood to retreat.
“You won’t win,” Dimitri growled, his voice steady despite the storm raging inside him. “You think you can control me with your taunts? You think you can make me into the monster you want? I’m not like you.”
As Maksim watch Dimitri closely and sees that Kate’s presence helps him calm down, he signaled to his me to launch an attack on the Bloodmoon Pack warriors.
These was not the agreement they had, Dimitri brow furrowed, and he raged once more just as he sees they had started attacking his men, his tightened his fist around Zane’s throat more, then Maksim lunged at him from behind slashing Dimitri’s back with his sharp claw.
Dimitri groaned in pain, forcing him to release his fist then dropping Zane on the floor and turned to face Maksim.
“Yes, face me,” Maksim smirked. You think you’re the most powerful Lycan King, but you are mistaken as your weakness is very glaring. My Men will take care of your Luna and your Men.
Dimitri didn’t respond, the beast inside him growled, waiting for a chance to break free, but Dimitri held his ground, another battle he had envisioned is happening.
He lunged towards Maksim with full rage, throwing him off into tree.
Maksim regain his stands fast, and lunged back at him,
They are engaged in fierce fight.
Dimitri wash as his Warriors are dropping to the floor, the rogue warriors are fighting with sword this time around. His mind raced as one rogue lunged over Kate engaging in a fierce fight with her.
He ran towards them but was blocked by Maksim and Zane, who circled him, looking for the point to attack, they both lunged at him at the same time but he dodged them, causing them to clash, throwing both of them of balance.
They both regain their balance again and lunged at him again with full rage, as Maksim attack from the front, Zane attack from behind, without giving him a breathing space.
You really underestimate both of us by accepting to fight us both, Maksim snarled.
But you know how to win us both, and save your Men but your pride isn’t letting you.
Zane draws his sharp claw into Dimitri’s waist, from behind. Throwing Dimitri off balance as he growled in pain.
