As we walked back to Kayden’s cabin which is at the far end of the pack house, Kayden ordered two maids to bring Breakfast for me in his cabin.”
As we approach the Cabin, Kayden told me to go ahead as he has to go attend to some task.
I nodded, and held on to Kayden’s hand and turned to him.
“Thank you for saving me and standing by me, I said and hugged him.”
You’re welcome, he said as he wrapped his hands around me and I could hear his heart pounding softly.
I loosen my grip, and turned back toward the cabin, as I walked away.
I grabbed the door knob and opened it gently and stepped inside, feeling relieved as if a huge weight had just been lifted off my head.
“I have not felt so light in my life.”
I walked to the room, and changed my cloth to a blue free flowing gown that I use to wear when ever I want to arrange my room.
I dropped my luggage from where it is stacked, as all my belongings are just packed together and not arranged the way I arranged my stuffs.
I scattered everything starting with my clothes, in the room is a big closet where kayden kept his things, I walked close to the closet and opened it, luckily I saw an empty space I could keep my stuffs too.
I arranged my clothes neatly into the space, I don’t have much clothes so it only take one part in the closet.
I parked my shoes and put them neatly under the space provided at the bottom of the closet.
As I was doing this, I heard a knock on the door. I stepped out of the room and moved straight to the door to see who is knocking.
I opened the door gently, and standing in front of me is one of the two maids, Kayden had ordered earlier to get me breakfast.
For the first time in my life, I was being served by maid a breakfast in a large trays that contains, a sandwich, cup of tea and different fruits besides it.
“Drop it on the table, I said with a smile,”
” She did, and stepped out afterwards and I locked the door after her.”
I went straight to the table, as I was already starving, and I ate all the Sandwich and drank my Tea, then ate the fruit.
After I finished eating, I took the plate to the sink and washed it.
“After which I went back to the arrangement of my belongings.”
After Several hours, I was done.
I undressed and went straight into the shower, humming to the rhythm of the song I had learnt in one of the children books I read when I was a kid.
I came out of the shower, and took out my brown long Dress and dressed up.

As I stepped out, I could felt the morning breeze chill my body,
I went to the pack garden as where I use to enjoy watching the flowers the flowers as they dance in the breeze, their graceful movement brings a spectacle relief to my heart with delight whenever I feel down and feel overwhelmed with the cruelty I experience in my Father’s pack.
And now that I am now married to one of the strongest man in the pack and I will no longer be treated like a servant again, I will not stop visiting the pack garden.
As I was sitting on a small rock at the right corner of the Garden and playing with the yellow Hibiscus flower beside me, I heard footsteps.
As I looked back, I saw Celine and her Mother, walking towards me.
I froze, as I realized Kayden is not around to save me from their humiliation.”
I stood up, from where I was sitting before they could reach me but it was too late for me to escape.
Celine cornered me and grabbed me using my hair as she pull my head to the back

As I regain my stamina, I faced Celine and said.
Why doesn’t go ahead and marry Dimitri and help the pack seal the alliance.
That means I am more valuable than you, since my marriage to Dimitri would have been the one to strengthen our pack’s security.
My Stepmom slapped me before I could finish my statement, grabbing my cloth and said to me, don’t ever talk back to my child you idiot, you think you can now stand up for yourself because you are now married to Kayden, well let me tell you. Your marriage to Kayden doesn’t stop me, as long as you are in this pack, I will make your whole existence more miserable. She said as she gave me another slap then push me to the ground.
Tears rolled down my cheek, as I sit on the floor, my heart so heavy as I thought in my head question the moon goddess why she had given me a second chance when she won’t make me more stronger, why she had made me come back to this cruel world to continue my suffering, why had she not allowed me to die and meet my Mother, whom she had taking away from me before I had a chance to know her.
I sat on the ground sobbing, as they take their leave, Celine gave me a hard kick in my tummy as she walk past me causing me to grunt in pain, and more tears rolled down my face.
After they left, still on the ground as crying profusely in pain as I held my stomach.
I felt a hand on my shoulder and a voice said to me “sorry” in a calm sweet voice.
“Sorry about that, she said again”
As I raised my head up, it was Lilah, Kayden’s younger sister.
I and Lilah are age mate, and she and Kayden are the only surviving member of their family after both their parents died few years ago.
I’ve always known she is kind and calm, ever since we were young, as she doesn’t take part in maltreating but she wasn’t my friend. Maybe this is just to stay safe and not receive same treatment like mine from my Stepmom and her minions.
She helped me up to sit on the small rock.
She sat down beside me helping me to wipe tears and she pulled me into her warm embrace as she pat my back.
Thank you, I said as I found my voice and loosen myself from her grip.
I wiped my tears.

As I raised my head, I saw Celine and Kayden together from a distance, I felt a surge of electricity down my spine, as I wondered, what could they be talking about…, what is Celine plotting as her words from earlier flood into my mind “Your Excitement will not last,” she had said.
I stood up silently and thanked Lilah for helping me and Enlightening me about the pack’s matter.
I headed towards the Cabin.
