*Bruno*
I didn’t want Lucia to go anywhere with Natasha. Because honestly, I didn’t trust Natasha. I have known her for a very long time and she wasn’t one to give up on something. I had made it clear where she stood.
I didn’t know where she got the gut from the other day she held me back from going away. I knew she was aware that I had no such feelings whatsoever with her. I was always clear with her. Whatever we had, had no title. She made me feel good and I did the same. There were no emotions attached to it.
When I saw her walk into my office, I made up my mind to throw her out if she sprouted nonsense from her mouth. Over the past few days, Lucia and I have been on good terms and the last thing I wanted was for someone to say anything to pull us apart.
Lucia was opening up to me. She had taken the lead the other night. I had seen the part of her that I didn’t know existed. The part that was fierce and dominant. We had made out immensely on the sofa.
I had to confess that there was something about her that made me always want more of her. I was never satisfied. It took all I had to stop myself from going to bed and having my way with her. I wanted her and I knew she knew, but I guess she didn’t want that and I didn’t want to force it.
I didn’t want it to seem as if I was there with her only because of her body. I like her because she was Lucia. I can still remember the first time I kissed her. My hands unconsciously went to my lips as I remembered our first soft but wild kiss.
She hated me then, but she was the sweetest girl I’ve ever tasted and my desire for her only soared from then on. Sunlight poured into the room from the window at the side. I closed my eyes to feel her lips on mine.
I sighed wishing she hadn’t left with Natasha earlier.
I began to wonder if I should have stopped her. I didn’t care about losing a client and have never been one to care if I lost one. I was sought after for business and not the other way around. But I trust Natasha to take care of her. Even though I noticed she hates Lucia, I don’t think it was enough for her to harm her.
And I trust she knew harming Lucia is like harming me.
There was a knock on the door. I turned sharply to look at the door, straightening my back as I thought who the hell was interrupting my thoughts? I waited for a few seconds to pass before inviting them in.
The door opened and Rave stepped in. He closed the door behind him before walking to me. His long hair was combed to the back. He wore a gray suit and looked anything less than a criminal. He looked more like a successful law-abiding businessman.
I began to wonder what it would be like to wear something like that too.
Maybe I could make a change for once and live like every other person.
“I almost didn’t recognise you,” I said as he walked closer to me. “How did it go?” I asked him.
He brought out a flash drive from his pocket. “Here it is,” he raised it, “I was able to get everything into this flash drive,” I nodded in satisfaction. I had assigned him to get some information on one of the senators. “I trust you left no trace behind,” I asked.
“No. They didn’t suspect even the least,” he said proudly handing over the drive to me. I collected it. The drive was small, I doubt anyone can imagine the amount of information it held. No one knew its value, not even Rave who had brought it. I smiled as I turned it around my hands looking at all sides of it.
Rave’s eyes moved to the nude frames on the wall for a brief moment before he rested his gaze on me again, “I saw Natasha leaving with Lucia earlier, but didn’t know she was friends with Lucia. She sounded like she was about to tear her to pieces the other day,” he says.
“They aren’t friends,” I said. I knew the day he must be referring to. “An order came in and Natasha wants to go get it,” I said. I didn’t need to explain myself but I felt it would be important to tell Rave.
“Lucia has decided to learn some things?” He asked, “Was this your plan all along? To teach her the business?” He asked, losing his tie as he walked to the seat next to me.
“Of course not. You weren’t available and Lucia was the only one I trusted to go along with Natasha,” I stated. Rave flung his tie to the side. Two of the buttons on his shirt were left undone.
He made an o with his mouth, “but I thought we only receive such an order once each month,” he asks and I nod. “That’s right,” I kept the flash drive in my drawer on the table. It was the safest place to put it and I knew I could trust Rave with my life.
“That order for this month was delivered last week, how come another one is being delivered?” He asked.
I squinted my eyes trying to make sense of what he just said. I didn’t need to think Natasha had made a move on Lucia.
“Fuck.”
I stood up immediately, “where are you going?” Rave asked after me as I walked out. I didn’t bother to turn. Natasha had not given up but instead, she had taken Luci. I cursed myself as I entered my car. I tried calling Lucia a few times but her number didn’t seem to go through. It kept being forwarded.
I call on Rave, “what’s happening bro?” He asked.
“Track Lucia’s necklace. I need her location right now,” I said over the phone half yelling.
I ended the call immediately. I didn’t know how he was going to do it but I was sure he would be able to do it. I speed past cars, not sure of my location yet. My phone vibrated. Rave has sent the location. Natasha was so dead if she even touched Lucia’s hair.

*Lucia POV*
I wanted to be of help to Bruno. For The past few days, Bruno has been very kind to me. I could no longer deny the fact that I was very much attracted to this man. It was no secret that he liked me back although he has not said it. But I believe that some things didn’t need to be spoken with words.
I didn’t know where I was going, but I knew Bruno trusted her, or at least, I knew they had been friends for a long time. The car came to a stop in front of a building. There was no one in sight. When we stepped down, I noticed it was an abandoned warehouse.
I got a bad feeling about this building but decided to push whatever bad thought I had behind me. I was sure Natasha would not hurt me. I was tempted to ask her about what she said. I wanted to know but I couldn’t bring myself to it.
I knew some people in the club knew about me and Bruno. They didn’t know what we were, I didn’t know either, but I was sure they knew something was up. I knew Natasha must have her perfect idea, and whatever it was I wasn’t ready to explain to her.
We stepped into the warehouse which was a bit dark. Was this normally where mafias carried out their deals? I wondered as we stepped further into it with Natasha in front of me.
“Why is everywhere so dark?” I asked, I wasn’t sure if it was good to ask but I just had to. I was beginning to get creeped out. I didn’t want her to think I was disrupting her plans or get to know that this was the first time I was in such a place. But then…
She didn’t answer but instead turned slowly to look at me. We locked eyes in the darkness and I saw a smirk on her face, “Fool,” she cussed. “I didn’t expect you to be this stupid,” she said and I arched my brows.
“What?” My eyes opened as I didn’t expect to be spoken to in such a manner. “You should know I hate you. How naive of you to think I’ll let you have Bruno,” she said, the jars in my head began to spin. I tried to understand what she meant.
She suddenly clapped and the door was closed.
The warehouse became darker for a moment, before suddenly becoming clearer as if a switch was turned on, but I was sure she didn’t switch on the light or walk to lock the door, it only made sense that she wasn’t here alone.
I didn’t have to think too much as in a minute, some men in black walked out of their hiding place.
I finally understood what she was up to. I gritted my teeth. I had fallen into whatever trap she must have been planning. I couldn’t help but wonder how she must have felt when I volunteered to go with her willingly. I felt tricked.
My heart began to thud faster but I tried to keep calm. I clenched my fist together, my eyes moved from one man to the other. They all held guns in their hands. This wasn’t the first time I was in a sick situation but it was something I did not want to experience for the second time.
My hands moved to my pocket, trying to find my phone but it was useless. My phone wasn’t with me, “No one is going to save you Lucia,” she said, raising my phone.
“What do you think you are doing Natasha, what is all this”? I asked her, trying to mask my fear with boldness.
“What does it seem like I’m doing?” She asked. She began to walk towards me, “Did you think I would sit and watch you take Bruno away from me with my hands folded on my chest?” She asked.
“Is this about Bruno?” I asked. I never knew she was mad at him.
“I met Bruno first. I spoke to him first. I slept with him first, I cared for him first and I fell for him first, so who do you think you are to step into the picture and try to steal something I’ve been trying to get for so long,” I heard her say.
I sighed internally. I was tired of seeing girls throw their pride away because of a man. I gritted my teeth, anger brewing within me.
“Aren’t you ashamed of yourself? If you aren’t I feel ashamed of you,” I said to see her eyes widened at my words.
She walked to me. Her steps were heavy, her lips pressed against each other and her palm clenched, she raised her hands to slap me but I caught it before it got to me. I held her hands firmly. She tried to move it away from me but I didn’t give her any chance.
I pushed her to the side, “Bruno fell for me naturally, how is it my fault that you couldn’t make him fall in love with you despite entangling yourself with him in bed?” I asked.
“What?” She asked surprised.
I was sure she wasn’t going to let me out alive so I could as well say whatever I wanted to.
But I secretly hoped that Bruno would come to save me just like last time. I will buy as much time as I can.
Natasha made eye contact with one of the men and suddenly I was pulled down by a great force.
Before I could comprehend what was happening, a slap fell on my face and my face fell to the side. I tasted something metallic in my mouth.
Blood.
