Usher sneered as Mireya ran towards him. He faced Mireya’s attack with ease, dodging and then delivering a powerful kick to her stomach.
Mireya staggered and once again landed on the ground in a pitiful state. But she got up again. She reminded herself that she had to buy time until Torin arrived.
On the other hand, Usher showed no mercy to Mireya. He continued to attack her without any remorse. As a result, Mireya found herself more and more cornered and overwhelmed.
Mireya’s breathing was slightly labored as she tried to gather her strength. Her body shook slightly, but this time she was not afraid at all. Her fear seemed to vanish when Usher belittled her. Although she knew that Usher was no match for her and that she would likely become Usher’s prey, her pride was hurt by Usher’s words. She vowed in her heart that she would tear Usher’s mouth apart until it was unrecognizable. She made sure that Usher would never speak again.
Mireya ran, screaming loudly. Then she jumped, and when she landed on the ground again, she had turned into a wolf. Her claws dug into the floor, tearing through the delicate carpet that covered it, and then she jumped again to attack Usher.
Usher took a step back. He dodged Mireya’s lunge and countered with a kick. But Mireya was more agile this time. Her attack only grazed Usher’s stomach.
Usher’s missed attack lifted Mireya’s spirits. She jumped again and attacked Usher blindly. Her claws and fangs moved with ambition. She wanted to see Usher draw his last breath as quickly as possible.
But Usher was prepared. When Mireya attacked again, he was ready to dodge and counterattack. His punches and kicks hit Mireya alternately. He did not give her a chance to catch her breath and overpowered her.
Luckily for Mireya, she did not need long to fight Usher alone. A short time later, the sound of footsteps could be heard. The fight stopped as they looked at the source of the sound.
The guards, led by Mireya, arrived just in time. She immediately withdrew from the fight and handed everything over to the guards.
Usher gritted his teeth. At a glance, he could see that there were at least fifty guards ready to fight him. He took a deep breath, then growled fiercely. As the guards ran and jumped towards him, he did the same.
Usher’s body transformed as he leapt through the air. His sharp claws immediately went on guard and sliced through a wolf. He did not release his claws for a moment as they fell to the ground. Instead, he made sure that his claws dug even deeper.
Only when other wolves came to attack did Usher release his claws. He jumped again and the battle began.
The wolves rushed forward. They swarmed Usher with wild attacks. They came at Usher from different directions, trying to surround him.
Usher realized that his position was extremely difficult. He was alone and in no good condition. He could see that his body was weak. His strength was not as optimal as usual.
But Usher would not falter in the slightest. On the contrary, the wolves’ attack fueled his anger. For he never thought that the day would come when he would be attacked by unknown wolves in his own palace.
Usher was consumed with rage. His blood boiled and a searing heat of extremely high temperature radiated from his body. He emitted such intense heat that it made the wolves whimper in agony as they endured the scorching heat.
Usher took full advantage of the opportunity. He attacked the wolves with fierce and effective blows. Claws pierced, fangs bit. He targeted vital points, making his attacks more efficient.
Several wolves fell to the ground with serious injuries. Blood flowed, soaking the ground. The remaining wolves growled angrily at the sight. Especially when Mireya howled angrily a few moments later.
The remaining wolves were filled with new strength. They did not want to face Mireya’s wrath, so they rushed forward to attack Usher at the same time.
The pressure was everywhere. Growls, collisions, and cries of pain could be heard repeatedly. Usher and the wolves attacked each other, looking for weaknesses and opportunities to gain the upper hand.
Usher did not stand idly by when a wolf tried to sneak up behind him. With quick reflexes he jumped back to avoid the attack. But the other wolves did not let him off so easily. They continued to attack, trying to sink their claws into his body.
The fight intensified and Usher fought back with his sharp fangs. As a result, many wolves fell victim to his bites.
The bodies of the dead wolves littered the ground. Blood flowed, flooding them. Usher’s legs and those of the surviving wolves were submerged in a sea of blood, emitting a strong metallic smell.
The fight stopped for a moment. Especially when Usher managed to rip off a wolf’s head and throw it in front of his companions.
Behind his wolf-like appearance, Usher was smirking. He showed his blood-stained fangs as a final warning to them all.
The wolves began to feel intimidated. Unconsciously, they began to back away as Usher continued to advance boldly. Usher glared at them, then growled.
The wolves’ doubts grew. They seemed to realize one important thing: no matter how weak Usher appeared, he was still no match for them.
Usher’s growl suddenly stopped. Something caught his attention and he looked out through the broken window. He saw the night sky and something that made him uneasy.
Usher fell silent. The other wolves did the same. They remained on high alert for any sign from nature.
Slowly but surely the signs became clearer. A commotion grew louder, approaching the Frostholm Pack Palace. Their heartbeats increased with it.
The loud footsteps sounded as they burst through the gates of Frostholm Pack Palace. Countless wolves rushed into the palace courtyard. They stormed the palace, destroying everything in sight.
