Returning to the Frostholm Pack Palace at two in the morning, Mireya immediately summoned Greisy. After briefly inquiring about Phillip’s condition, she shifted her focus to Usher.
“How is he? Is he still raving?” Mireya asked.
Greisy replied politely, “Alpha Usher was still in a rage after you left, but the room calmed down shortly thereafter. He’s no longer raging.”
“Good,” Mireya said with a short sigh. Then she chuckled before handing Greisy something from her bag. “This is a new calming tea. Give it to Usher if he starts to rage again.”
Greisy took the tea. “Yes, madam.”
“Ah, one more thing,” Mireya almost missed something important. This one thing couldn’t be overlooked because it had to do with the preparations for the attack of the Nimbria Pack. “Soon we will attack the Frostholm Pack.”
Greisy’s eyes widened. “Is that true, madam?”
Mireya smiled. “Of course. Why? Are you tired of being here?”
“Very much so, madam. I can’t stand living here, in the pathetic shadow of the Frostholm Pack.”
“I know how you feel, because I feel the same way,” Mireya said as she took a deep breath. She stood up slightly to face Greisy directly. “Our patience will soon be rewarded. Besides, the Nimbria Pack won’t forget your services. I will personally choose you to be the Gamma of the Nimbria Pack, just when I become the Luna.”
The sparkle in Greisy’s eyes grew stronger. The expression on her face showed unimaginable happiness. All the struggles and suffering she had endured for almost two years would soon pay off. “Thank you, madam.”
Greisy left Mireya’s room a short time later. Mireya was left alone and immediately lay down on the bed. Sleep had already begun to creep over her eyelids, especially since the day had been exhausting. Now all she wanted was a peaceful rest.
However, Mireya’s desired rest was disturbed by a knock at the door. She became irritated. She had slept only half an hour and Greisy had returned to her room.
Greisy entered with a dejected expression. Her face reflected helplessness and fear at the same time.
“What’s wrong?” Mireya asked angrily, running her fingers through her slightly disheveled long hair. “Don’t you know that I want to sleep? What’s the matter with me disturbing my sleep, Greisy?”
Greisy lowered her head further. She did not dare to meet Mireya’s gaze, which looked very angry because of her actions. So, she answered timidly, especially because she was afraid of being accused even more after Mireya knew the reason for her arrival. “Alpha Usher is on the rampage again, madam.”
Just as Greisy had expected. Her answer made Mireya roll her eyes dramatically. For a moment, Mireya’s frustrated moan could be heard.
Mireya growled. “Oh, for God’s sake, Greisy. Didn’t I give you the soothing tea for Usher? I told you to give it to him every time he gets upset. Why else would you be here?” She sighed and decided to go back to bed. “Useless.”
“I did give Alpha Usher the tea, madam, but it had no effect at all.”
Mireya’s steps stopped abruptly. A feeling of uneasiness quickly washed over her and enveloped her entire body. It couldn’t be true, could it? I must have misheard, right?
“So now Alpha Usher is even more rampaging,” Greisy confirmed.
“What did you say?” Mireya asked, turning her body to face Greisy. Her heart began to beat fast. “The tea had no effect on Usher?”
Greisy nodded. “Yes, madam.”
Mireya was stunned for a moment. The feeling of unease was immediately followed by an accusation towards Willow. How dare she deceive me?

Usher knew that remaining passive would never be the answer. Just as the man had told him earlier, he had to get up. He still had a chance before everything was completely destroyed. Loss would always be painful, but he didn’t want it to get worse. He still had the pack and Vione, who were always his priority.
So, Usher stood up straight. He suppressed the sadness and regret that continued to beat in his chest. He didn’t know where to begin; the chaos was truly beyond repair, but at least he realized that the most important thing now was to find the whereabouts of the most important people in the Frostholm Pack. He had to find Ayla, Cora, Berg and Storm.
Usher went to the door. He grabbed the doorjamb and tried to open it, but it wouldn’t budge.
Usher’s eyes widened. He tried again, but the result was the same. So, he didn’t hesitate to kick the door until it shattered.
The startled guards on duty outside Usher’s room were instantly shocked. They were thrown back by the gust of wind caused by Usher’s kick. They stumbled and hit the wall.
“Who are you?” Usher asked as he approached the two guards. He crouched down, then grabbed the collar of one of them. He lifted the guard’s face as he continued to think. “I’ve never seen you in The Palace before.”
The first guard grimaced. He couldn’t answer Usher’s question as pain coursed through his entire body. So, Usher stared at him even more intensely and then switched to choking him.
“Are you not going to answer my question? You…”
“Hello, Greisy. Alpha Usher is on the rampage. He broke the door.”
Usher turned around. He saw the second guard on the phone. “You.”
The second guard gulped as he saw Usher unlock the first guard’s neck and then stand up. He could guess that Usher’s target was now him.
“Who are you calling?” Usher asked as he approached the second guard with narrowed eyes. “Greisy? Who is she?”
The second guard didn’t answer, but he tried to find a way to save himself. He seemed to sense the situation. If Usher could break down a solid door with a single kick, it wouldn’t be difficult for him to be crushed as well. He didn’t want to take that risk.
But there was no opening for the second guard to take advantage of. Usher continued to approach him, and he was pushed to the end of the corridor.
“Alpha.”
Usher turned to the source of the voice, and the second guard let out a long sigh. Greisy arrived with a tray of tea.
“Who are you?” Usher asked suspiciously, scrutinizing Greisy’s calm demeanor. He glanced briefly at the tea Greisy had brought. “Are you new to The Palace?”
Greisy seemed calm as she nodded. “Yes, Alpha. I’m the one assigned to take care of you while you were sick, and it seems you’re recovering now. So, before I call Scott to check on you, it’s better for you to drink this tea first, Alpha. So, you can calm down.”
Usher paused for a moment. A part of him was suspicious, but Greisy’s calm demeanor made him unsure. Especially since Greisy also mentioned Scott’s name.
“Please, Alpha.”
Usher took the tea and drank it. Then he put the empty cup on the coaster and Greisy waited. Greisy thought, surely Usher would calm down soon. Usually he was like that, maybe he just needed a minute, as she often saw when Mireya gave Usher the tea.
“So, I want to ask you, Greisy,” Usher said after a moment. He raised his hand and pointed at the two guards. “Who are they? They are not guards chosen by Berg.”
Greisy’s face suddenly changed. It couldn’t be.
