The Clawless Luna 34.1

Book:The Clawless Luna Wants Rejection Published:2024-11-1

Mireya had to admit that the situation was getting out of her control. She felt frustrated, but her mind was still clear enough not to take any unnecessary risks. The possibility of Cora, Berg, and Storm gathering strength to attack the Frostholm Pack’s palace caused her to brainstorm quickly, trying to take preemptive measures as soon as possible.
After much deliberation, Mireya realized that the only logical step she could take was to launch an attack on the Frostholm Pack in the near future. She had to use the momentum of the ongoing chaos. Especially since she realized that Usher was incapacitated and there was literally no leader of the Frostholm Pack in The Palace. Garth was dead, and Cora had fled. So, it could be said that the Frostholm Pack was truly vulnerable at the moment.
Mireya’s wandering thoughts came to a halt. A mischievous smile appeared on her face. Maybe the situation was not completely out of her control. Even if her plans for the day had not gone perfectly, there had been an unintended opportunity.
Mireya sighed rhythmically. “Attacking the Frostholm Pack’s palace right now sounds like an intriguing idea.”
There were at least two important priorities for Mireya. First, she would meet with Willow, and second, she had to discuss the plan with Torin. She realized that Torin was the one who knew best about the readiness of the Nimbria Pack. If she was going to attack the Frostholm Pack, she needed to know how strong the Nimbria Pack’s forces were.
Without wasting any time, Mireya immediately contacted Torin. Her call was answered immediately and Torin’s voice could be heard.
“Hello, Mireya.”
“Hello, Torin,” Mireya replied and came straight to the point. They were racing against time. “There is something we need to discuss. It’s about the possibility of attacking the Frostholm Pack’s palace. Can we meet tonight at my place?”
“So soon, Mireya?” Torin asked skeptically. “Is something wrong?”
Mireya took a deep breath. “Today’s plan failed. Cora, Berg, and Storm managed to escape. So, I think we should plan our next move immediately. We have to act quickly, Torin. Otherwise, all our efforts so far could end in failure.”
“Alright. We’ll meet tonight. I’ll come over.”
The call ended with a knock at the door. Mireya gave permission and Greisy entered. Mireya noticed something strange in Greisy’s behavior. So, she immediately asked, “What’s going on?”
“Alpha Usher is running amok in his room, madam,” Greisy replied with a helpless expression. “Me and the Omegas tried to calm him down, but we couldn’t. Alpha is still raging.”
“Raging?” Mireya frowned and Greisy nodded. But she didn’t think it was important. So, she said casually, “You know the tea I often give him, right?” She glanced at her bedside table. “Give him that. He’ll calm down later.”
Greisy nodded. “Yes, madam.”
After getting the intended tea, Greisy left immediately. Mireya was left alone in the room and she immediately began to prepare. Her plan was to leave before the sun set completely on the western horizon.
Mireya didn’t need much time to get ready. A short time later, she was ready and grabbed her car keys. Just as she was about to head for the door, a knock interrupted her. It was Greisy again.
“What is it now?” Mireya asked.
Greisy replied with a dejected expression. “Alpha is still raging, madam, and now Alpha’s room is completely destroyed.”
Mireya’s eyes widened. She was about to scold Greisy for her alleged incompetence when she received another surprising piece of news. “What did you say? Usher’s room is destroyed?”
“Yes, madam. Alpha continues to rage, even though I gave him the tea.”
Mireya was silent for a moment. If she followed her heart’s desire, she would ignore Usher’s condition right now. After all, she wanted to meet Torin. Besides, because she missed Torin, their meeting agenda for this evening would have to be postponed.
But Mireya could not ignore the feeling of concern in her mind. She noticed that Usher had been acting strangely all day. She could not take any chances.
“Very well,” Mireya said after a moment. Then she left. “I’ll go see him first.”
Mireya went with Greisy to Usher’s room. When they arrived, Greisy opened the door immediately. Mireya entered, and at the same time a swooshing sound filled the air. Reflexively, Mireya ducked and saw a vase pass by her face, barely ten centimeters away. The vase continued to slide until it finally hit the wall and shattered into pieces.
Mireya froze for a moment. Obviously, she had to admit the truth of Greisy’s report. In fact, Greisy had not exaggerated when she said that Usher was running amok. Moreover, Usher’s room was indeed completely destroyed.
Everything was a mess. Chairs and tables were scattered all over the place. The walls and floor were cracked in several places. The curtains had been ripped from the windows and torn to shreds. Together with the crystal chandelier from the ceiling, it had landed on the floor in a pitiful state.
Mireya took a deep breath and tried to be patient. She turned around and called, “Usher! What are you doing? Why are you-”
“No, please. Don’t Garth. Don’t Mama.”
Mireya’s words stopped immediately when she saw Usher curled up on the floor in a pitiful state. His clothes were disheveled, and there were several tears that seemed to be of his own making. In addition, sweat and tears had filled his face and entire body.
“Garth, you can’t die. You promised to be loyal to me forever! Then why did you die?!” Usher wailed. Then he struck his chest repeatedly. “You can’t leave your Alpha!”
Mireya felt uneasy. So, she asked Greisy, “Has he been like this since before?”
“Yes, madam,” Greisy replied, nodding. “Alpha really can’t be calmed down at all.”
Mireya fell silent. She remembered that Usher had experienced something similar some time ago. He had raged and destroyed everything around him. At that time, however, he had calmed down easily after drinking the tea Mireya had prepared.
“Are you sure that you gave him the tea?” Mireya asked.
Greisy nodded again. “Yes, madam. I gave it to Alpha myself.”
Strange, Mireya thought as she approached. Carefully she approached Usher. What had really happened to Usher?
“I’m sorry, Mama. I’m really sorry. I’m really useless.”
Mireya stopped at a safe distance from Usher, at least five paces between them. In this position she could observe Usher better. One thing that immediately caught her attention was the burnt Alpha Mark tattoo on Usher’s neck!
