Chapter 232: He Is Here

Kayden quickly looked up, and Professor Flores asked with his brow furrowed, “Sir, why do you have such serious injuries?”
Kayden thought Professor Flores was just an academic focused only on research, and he didn’t expect the man to be skilled in practice as well. When he grabbed his hand, Kayden expected some heartfelt words to try to move him and convince him to be a professor, but instead, he was diagnosing him.
“It’s nothing.” Kayden pulled his hand back and said, “Please tell me what I want to know now.”
“There’s not much to say about the Hellblazer. Your body is more important. I know a doctor who might be able to treat you. However, I can’t guarantee that he can completely heal you,” Professor Flores said with a serious face.
Kayden paused for a moment. While the Hellblazer was undoubtedly important, so was his injury. He had been trying to heal himself for a while now with little success. He had only regained about thirty percent of his strength before he hit a plateau. For now, it was enough, but if he had to face any difficult battles, his body wouldn’t hold up. Kayden was well aware of his physical condition.
The Hellblazer was a complex organization, and he didn’t know how dangerous it truly was. To fully uncover its secrets, he needed to restore his strength first. Only with his physical strength at its peak could he confront everything. Without complete recovery, he knew he wouldn’t last long.
So if there’s a way, of course he would like to recover.
As he considered this, he looked at Professor Flores and asked, “Who?”
“Dr. Maverick Quinn,” the professor replied.
“Dr. Maverick Quinn?” Kayden looked at him with confusion.
Professor Flores nodded and said, “He is one of the pillars of traditional medicine in our country, alongside the renowned Dr. Cael Gabor. However, unlike Dr. Cael Gabor, who is more of a legend and no one had actually seen him, Dr. Quinn has resided in the East. I’ve seen him cure numerous challenging ailments myself. You might want to give him a try.”
“Alright. Thank you,” Kayden replied, ending the topic.
He was well aware of his injuries and doubted anyone could completely heal him. What he needed was a quiet place, where he could stay by himself and focus on his recovery. Of course, if it’s possible, he could also consider seeing this Dr. Quinn Professor Flores had mentioned.
Professor Flores saw through Kayden’s thoughts and stopped beating around the bush, saying, “The organization known as the Hellblazer still exists. During wartime, they vanished for nearly a century, and many thought they had disappeared for good. But it seems like there’s been some new movements in recent years.”
Kayden asked with a frown, “What kind of movements?”
Professor Flores sighed and shook his head helplessly. “The Hellblazer is far more mysterious than even Dr. Gabor. I’m well aware of your vast knowledge. If even you don’t know much about them, how could I? All I know is that they still exist, but beyond that, I don’t have any details. But I promise you, the moment I find anything, you’ll be the first one I tell. As long as… you keep helping me with my studies.”
“Alright,” Kayden said without hesitation and stood up from his chair.
Professor Flores’s eyes flickered as he asked yet again, “Sir, are you absolutely sure you won’t reconsider my proposal? If you become a professor at your age, you’d be a legend in both the educational and medical fields. To be a legend like that is the lifelong dream of everyone.”
Kayden didn’t even bother to respond and walked straight out.
For Kayden, status and position were meaningless. He had long reached the pinnacle of both fame and fortune.
Did he need fame? No! He was the God of War, the Defender of the South, and the only five-star general in Seclela. Receiving much reverence and worship, did he really need another title like ‘professor’? The title of Defender of the South was more than enough to make him stand tall over the entire nation and even the world.
Did he need power? With a single command, he could mobilize a million soldiers. The whole Seclela was at his fingertips. His power was unmatched across the entire nation.
Did he need money? His wealth was inexhaustible. His bank card would always maintain a balance of ten billion.
Thus, discussing fame and fortune with someone like him would simply be futile.

Outside the hall, the deputy director of Inassea First Hospital, Hank, and his daughter, Nadia, stood beside an Audi A6L.
“Nadia, you’re really not dating him?” Hank asked with a sigh.
Nadia replied impatiently, “Dad, I’ve already told you dozens of times-no! This is just the second time we’ve met. Do you think I’m joking?”
“Alas!” Hank sighed deeply and said, “Do you think he’ll be upset about what I said earlier? What am I supposed to do if he holds it against me? He is Professor Flores’s teacher!”
Nadia scoffed, “Well, that’s what you get for looking down on him. This is what happens when you judge someone by their appearance. If you had shown him respect from the start, things wouldn’t be like this. You’ve only yourself to blame!”
Hank’s face flushed with embarrassment, and he said regretfully, “It’s all my fault. I was too judgemental. When he gets here, make sure to put in a good word for me. By the way, I’ve noticed something odd.”
“What is it?” Nadia asked with a puzzled look.
Hank pondered for a moment and said, “I noticed that just a few days ago, you seemed really down, but after seeing him today, you suddenly became so cheerful and happy. Did something happen the first time you two met? Do you have feelings for him?”
“Of course not!” Nadia quickly denied it, her eyes shifting away from her father’s gaze, her thumbs nervously twirling. Yet inside, she was secretly delighted. Sometimes, having your thoughts guessed could be a nice feeling.
“Right.” Hank shook his head helplessly and said, “A man as outstanding as him wouldn’t possibly be interested in you. Even if you liked him, he wouldn’t like you back.”
“Dad!” Nadia crossed her arms and said angrily, “How can you say that? I’m not talking to you anymore!”
Hank sighed, a hint of regret flashing across his face.
Suddenly, a figure emerged. Hank quickly stood up straight and said, “He’s here.”
