Chapter 230: What an Enjoyment

Everyone thought Professor Flores was just being polite. However, his earnest request made it clear this wasn’t a joke.
It’s well known that Professor Flores had a short temper and never engaged in pleasantries with anyone. He would even talk back to the officials from the Ministry of Education when he’s displeased.
His expertise made him nearly unparalleled in the field, so no one would dare to go against him. Everyone felt nothing but respect towards him. Yet he was showing such respect to this young man. Who on earth was this guy?
Could he be a relative of Professor Flores?
Kayden lifted his head, looked at Professor Flores, and said, “No, thanks. Please, finish your lecture.”
Professor Flores’s brow knitted together. After a moment of thought, he said, “Sir, I assume you came here to ask me about Hellblazer, right? If you could go up there and say a few words, I promise I’ll tell you everything I know.”
Kayden was stunned for a moment, staring at Professor Flores’ face, realizing that this old man had not been completely honest last time. He knew that he hadn’t told him everything and was holding something back.
Professor Flores smiled and said, “All’s fair in war. You turned down my offer to be a professor, so I had to resort to this. Besides, I only found out about many details myself until after our encounter. If you hadn’t asked, I wouldn’t have continued researching the subject.”
Kayden shook his head helplessly. It seemed like he had no choice but to go up there and give the lecture.
As soon as Kayden left his seat, Hank, completely shocked, quickly took his place, sat next to Nadia, and asked, “Nadia, why didn’t you tell me who he was? I was so rude to him earlier. I must have offended him!”
Nadia shrugged and replied, “I… I didn’t know either.”
Nadia honestly had no idea. After all, they had only met twice.
Hank signed deeply, anxiously rubbing his hands together. He glanced at Kayden’s back and his heart was filled with regret. No wonder that guy was so calm and collected. Why wouldn’t he when he had such a powerful background? Professor Flores was a titan in the medical field of Southwest Seclela, and Kayden was his teacher. Just the thought of this sent shivers down Hank’s spine.
He should have thought of this sooner, but he didn’t.
Although the young man hadn’t held it against him earlier, that didn’t mean he wouldn’t in the future. Thinking of this, he quickly asked Nadia, “And, Nadia, are you and him an item?”
Nadia frowned as she glanced at Kayden, who was now on stage and shook her head. “No, we’re just friends. To be precise, we’ve only met twice, and the first time we even had a fight that almost got him into trouble.”
“What?” Hank gasped in shock again, then said, “Then why were you so affectionate with him? Do you like him?”
Nadia’s face flushed bright red in an instant. She bit her lip and said, “I don’t.”
Though she insisted otherwise, her expression ensured Hank that his daughter had feelings for that guy.
After pondering for a moment, Hank said, “If you like him, then go for it. I support you.”
If that guy really became his son-in-law, it would open so many doors for Hank’s future career. Just the fact that the young man was Professor Flores’s teacher was more than enough.
Kayden got to the podium and Professor Flores gave his seat to him at once.
Looking at the faces in the audience, Kayden knew that many people were having trouble accepting him as their lecturer. However, he didn’t let it fluster him. He calmly started speaking into the microphone. Professor Flores sat beside him and took out a notebook, ready to take notes.
Soon, Kayden’s lecture began. His voice was powerful and commanding, like a general leading an army into battle.
At first, everyone looked at Kayden with skepticism because he was speaking about traditional medicine. He started by saying that he was more knowledgeable about this field so he would share some theoretical insights about it.
However, only a few in the audience had studied traditional medicine. Most were only trained in modern medicine and had some reservations towards traditional medicine. Although Seclela advocated the combination of both, modern medicine practitioners often felt superior and scoffed at the mention of traditional medicine.
Before long, the expressions of the audience began to change.
The skeptical faces began to show surprise. This quickly turned into disbelief, followed by shock. A series of complex emotions crossed their faces, and finally, they all lowered their heads to take notes as well.
Kayden’s voice grew louder, captivating everyone in the audience. To a thousand readers, there are a thousand Hamlets, but in Kayden’s case, it was as though everyone was on the same page. What he said gained everyone’s approval, as if everyone could follow along.
There was a certain charm about him that couldn’t be described in words.
His words were so powerful that they transformed everyone’s beliefs. Everyone present was an experienced doctor, no matter which hospital they were from, each with impressive credentials.
They had all attended numerous conferences and lectures from many renowned experts. Yet Kayden’s lecture had opened a door to a new world for them, and everyone was listening with great focus.
This was traditional medicine after all. Who would have thought a lecture on this subject could be so brilliantly delivered?
Kayden’s words were incredibly compelling, almost as if they were magical. The room was completely silent, and everyone listened attentively to the knowledge he shared. He was merely using his words, but he had painted vivid images that captivated all present.
If Professor Flores’s lectures were insightful, then this young man’s was simply intoxicating. It was like listening to a series of songs, changing people’s moods and thoughts, and opening many’s minds. The challenges faced by doctors stem from their medical beliefs, and Kayden was unraveling many of their misconceptions.
It was pure enjoyment!
Kayden’s lecture was an absolute delight. Everyone found joy in his lecture while learning at the same time.
Back in school, teachers often said that you ought to treat classes as a form of enjoyment, even though their classes were often truly dull and tedious.
Kayden was different. Every word he spoke was impactful, and each sentence could paint a vivid picture.
