Chapter 115: Public declaration
Lily’s POV
I moved around the house all day thinking about Alex. The sore between my legs a constant reminder of the session I had this morning.
I could still taste him in my mouth, I could still feel his lingering touch on my lips. Every thing replayed on my mind, his face, his well toned body and his beautiful big black cock drilling my vagina.
I tried to push him out of my mind but it was futile. He was a constant all day. I want him, I’ve always wanted him. It’s just that everything is just complicated now.
I don’t hate him for what he did, in fact I think I have forgiven him. I guess everything happens for a reason. If the things that happened didn’t happen when they did, I don’t think I would here now with my beautiful children.
The only thing keeping me away from Alex was him. I knew he wanted me, like sexually but that was common. Men would have sex with whatever they saw fit. Even my own brother wanted me in that manner. It wasn’t unusual. But now I don’t know if he loved me truly.
If his heart beats for me, calls my name. When he sees me or hears my name, I don’t know how that makes him feel. I don’t know where I stand with him.
Alex is just so confusing, all the time I’ve been with him, it’s been like that. One moment he treats me like I mean the world to him and the next it’s like I begging for his love. I don’t want that anymore. I just want to be certain of his love but if not then we can’t be together. As sad as it makes me, but I’m sure with time, I’ll be glad I took the step.
“Lily!, come quick!.” Daniel yelled from the living room.
“I’m not ready yet!.” I yelled back.
“Just come quick!”. He responded.
I heard the urgency in his tone and so I dropped the stretcher I was using to straighten my hair on the table and rushed to the living room. ” what’s wrong?”. I asked instantly looking around wide eyed.
“Look!”. He pointed to the Television. My eyes widened as I saw what he showing to me. Alex…
“What the hell is this?”. I asked.
“I guess some of those reporters came by his office for an interview.” He explained. “We should see what it’s about!.” He added.
“Okay.” I said quietly and settled on the couch as I focused my attention on the Tv. He was sitting in his office, looking poised and confident, as a news anchor interviewed him.
“… and now, Mr. Dankworth, you’ve been making headlines with your innovative business strategies. But what drives you?” the anchor asked.
Alex leaned back in his chair, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. “To be honest, it’s not just about success or wealth. It’s about finding purpose and meaning.”
The anchor raised an eyebrow. “And what gives you purpose, Mr. Dankworth?”
Alex’s gaze drifted off-camera, his eyes seeming to lock onto something distant. “Someone,” he said softly.
My heart skipped a beat.
“Someone?” the anchor repeated.
Alex’s focus snapped back to the camera, his eyes burning with intensity. “Lily. The love of my life.”
I gasped, my hand flying to my mouth.
The anchor’s eyes widened. “Lily?.”
“Yes, Lily Dankworth , my wife.” He said with a proud smile.
“Would you care to elaborate, Mr. Dankworth ?” The anchor asked.
Alex nodded, his voice taking on a romantic tone. “From the moment I met her, I knew she was special. Her kindness, intelligence, and beauty captivated me. But it’s more than that. She’s my best friend, my partner, my everything.”
My eyes welled up with tears as Alex’s words poured out.
“I love her laughter, her smile, her quirks. I love how she makes me feel like I’m home. I love her strength and resilience. And I love how she challenges me to be better.”
The camera zoomed in on Alex’s face, his eyes shining with sincerity.
“Lily, if you’re watching this, know that my love for you will never fade. You’re the sunshine that brightens my life every day, the calm in every storm. Forever and always, my love.”
“But rumor has it that you and your wife, Lily, are no longer together. Isn’t that correct?”. The anchor asked narrowing her eyes at him.
“Not necessarily incorrect. We have some issues, and it’s all my fault. I hurt her deeply.” He paused staring at the camera. “But I want to make things right. I have to because I can’t imagine a life without her.”
The camera cut to a commercial break, but I just sat frozen, staring at the screen. Alex had just declared his love for me on national television.
His words replayed in my mind like a broken record. How could he do this? On national television?
Was he genuine?, what Or was this some publicity stunt?. My mind whirled with questions, doubts creeping in.
I thought of all the times Alex had been distant, aloof. Had he been hiding his true feelings?. If yes then why?, was it so hard to show his true feelings for me.
My heart raced, palms sweating. I couldn’t breathe. Suddenly, the room felt suffocating. If it were true, What did this mean for us?.
For our our relationship?. For my heart?. Was I ready to get back with him and let him in. What was the guarantee that these words are true and he would not switch up again later.
These questions swirled. No answers came.
It seemed I was feeling all the emotions known to man at once.
Shock, Surprise, Confusion.
And beneath it all… hope, A glimmer of hope. That maybe, just maybe. Alex’s words were true. That maybe. He really did love me.
The thought sent shivers down my spine. But I wouldn’t be so quick to just let him in.
Daniel turned to me. “Every thing okay?”. I stared at him in surpise like he too had not witnessed what I just did.
“Of course .” I said with a tight smile.
“Don’t lie to me. I was just pulling your legs. Even I am surprised. I’m sure your mind must be spiraling with many questions.” He said with a shrug
“Alex just… surprised me. I wasn’t expecting that.” I sighed.
Daniel nodded thoughtfully. “He’s always been full of surprises.”
I shot him a sideways glance. “You think he’s genuine?”
Daniel shrugged. “Only you can answer that, Lily. But be careful, okay? Your heart’s already been through a lot.”
I nodded, his words resonating deeply.
“For now I think you should focus on getting ready so we can leave soon.” He said with a wink.
“Of course.” I said quietly as I made my to the room. Daniel had appeared at my home a while ago and asked to take I and the children out for dinner.
He even got me an outfit and a pair of shoes. I was surprised how he got my exact size and my taste but I didn’t question it.
I got right back to doing my make up and straightening my hair. I kept thinking of Alex despite how much I tried to shut my mind off, I was glad when I had finished getting ready.
I gathered my purse and walked to full length mirror. I think Daniel has really good taste and an eye for good things. It was a two piece red top and skirt. The top had a square neck, a tiny hand and a corset like thing at the back cinching my waist. The skirt on the other hand flowed down from my waist to my feet. It cling to my skin outlining my figure. I looked gorgeous.
I was about to step out of the room when my phone vibrated in my purse. I pulled it out of the purse and my eyes widened when I saw it’s content.
It was a text from Alex.
“My love, I meant every word.”
My heart skipped a beat.
