The sports car skidded across the tarmac with a loud and harsh sound.
Two curved tire tracks were dragged on the ground …
The sports car comes to a stop against Enrico’s body.
“…”
The people rushing around the area only stopped in their tracks at the sight, all of them terrified to the point where they would need to exhale heavily to calm their emotions.
Paige’s entire body slammed forward, her head and body hitting the steering wheel hard.
Sharp pain struck.
She reached up and pressed her hand to her heart and leaned back as a drop of blood fell from her forehead and into her eyes.
Everything became illusory in the blood clouding her vision.
The man in front of the car lunged at her in a lop-sided position, and he looked at her, bloodless and terrified to the core, even his lips trembling.
Through the car door, Enrico leaned down to cup her face, his palms cold.
Her forehead looked like it had hit a bloody hole, deep red blood blurred her skin and trickled down half of her pale face, she just leaned weakly against the back of the seat, her eyes didn’t have any luster and seemed lifeless.
“Paige…” he whispered to her, his bloodstained hands shaking badly.
Paige looked at him as he shivered, as if she were seeing that nine year old once again, so weak, so helpless, so humbled by his inability to control anything.
“Enrico,” she moved her lips, a touch of wetness slipped into the corner of her lips, she tasted her own blood, she looked at him silently, “Are you afraid I’m going to die?”
Enrico cupped her face and nodded vigorously, tears falling from his reddened eyes.
Smiling, Paige laughed, breathlessly, “Me too, I am actually … very afraid that you will die in front of me, do you understand?”
How much he was afraid, how much she was afraid.
She said, blood staining her teeth.
Enrico shivered as he held her blood covered face, endless fear engulfing him, “I get it, I get it now.”
“…”
“I was wrong Paige, you don’t want me to die, I’m not dying anymore, don’t punish me with your life, I can’t take it, please.”
He really couldn’t stand it.
He watched her step on the gas and slam into the wall like that as if nothing had happened, and his heart felt like it had been ripped out of his chest in an instant.
Enrico cried and looked at her, “I’ll use the medication, I’ll use the medication right away, I’ll do anything you want, I’ll do anything you want.”
He said the same thing back and forth.
His hands shook more and more the minute more blood came from the wound on her head.
Enrico looked at his blood-stained hands, his eyes red and bloodshot, the veins at the corners of his forehead trembling as he pleaded with his voice, “Don’t close your eyes, Paige, look at me, don’t you ever close your eyes …”
By the end of his cry, he was screaming his lungs out.
Paige leaned back in her chair, sniffing, she slowly raised her eyes to the man in front of her and weakly asked, “Say that again.”
Enrico, of course, knew what she wanted to hear, and hurriedly said, “I’ll listen to you on everything, I’ll use the medicine, I’ll use the medicine right away!”
After saying that, he turned his head and yelled at a bunch of onlookers, “Where’s Dr. Clinton? Call him over!”
“Coming coming!” Dr. Clinton ran out from the crowd carrying a medical kit, panting as he rushed to the front of the valuable sports car.
At the sight of Paige’s face covered in blood, Dr. Clinton was shocked and hurriedly opened the medical kit to clean up the blood stains, Paige looked away and refused to cooperate with him.
“…”
Dr. Clinton froze.
“Where’s the medicine?” Enrico yelled at him, “Where are my meds?!”
“Aren’t all your medicines sealed up?” Dr. Clinton replied blankly, and suddenly added, “No, I have a bottle of spray here that was the last one made, and I haven’t had a chance to seal it yet.”
With that, Dr. Clinton lifted one leg and rested the case on his lap, removing a bottle of spray from the inside and handing it to Enrico.
Enrico snatched it up and pressed the spray into his blood-covered hand, inhaling it hard, his fingers shaking woefully.
A faint scent emanated from the air.
Paige sat in the car watching him silently.
Enrico pressed several pumps in a row, inhaling it all up his nose, then glared at Dr. Clinton, “Is this enough?”
Dr. Clinton was a little confused and froze for two seconds before nodding, “Enough, enough.”
“Then why don’t you treat her wounds?” Enrico growled out in exasperation.
“Ohhhhhh.”
Dr. Clinton hurriedly pulled open the car door, checked Paige’s injuries, took another look at the steering wheel, and pulled out his professional tools to start cleaning Paige’s blood.
Rafael, Carrie, Jaden, Nick, Artie, Alfredo and the rest of them all slowly gathered around and looked at her worriedly.
I don’t know if it was the element of alcohol in her body, but other than the impact where she felt a sharp pain, this would, Paige didn’t feel much pain anymore.
She sat quietly and let Dr. Clinton handle her.
“Dr. Clinton, how is Sister Paige doing?” Nick’s voice was much lower.
“Luckily the car didn’t hit the wall, it’s not a big problem.”
It would have hit the wall and shattered the windshield, and that wouldn’t have been a problem with this one impact wound.
Dr. Clinton shined a light in Paige’s eyes and then replied as she administered the medication, “The bump on the head was a little hard, but it’s a flesh wound, but it still needs to be checked out specifically for a possible concussion.”
“Jaden, get me the medical equipment that should be used immediately.” Enrico stood aside and issued the order.
“Yes.” Jaden hastily retreated.
After applying the medicine, Dr. Clinton put gauze on Paige’s forehead and inquired, “Miss, do you still feel any discomfort anywhere?”
Paige shook her head and whispered, “I’m a little … sleepy.”
“You can’t sleep.” Enrico said without thinking, then glared at Dr. Clinton, “Are you going to treat this or not? She hit the steering wheel with her whole body, did she get internal injuries?”
Dr. Clinton’s spine went cold from Enrico’s murderous stare.
He swallowed hard and said, “Mr. Gustin, take it easy, the car braking in time is a blessing in misfortune, even if there are internal injuries, they won’t be much serious.”
“Then how did she get sleepy?”
Enrico glared at him with oppressive eyes.
It wasn’t normal in any way to be hit with a bloody face and suddenly be sleepy.
Dr. Clinton glanced at the depressed Paige in the driver’s seat and said, “This, if I’m not mistaken, should be because the lady doesn’t usually dabble in alcohol, and when she had such a sudden bout of heavy drinking, the after-effects were too much, and she got sleepy.”
“…”
The moment these words came out, the entire room fell silent.
Hoping to make such a big scene and almost get someone killed, but it turns out Paige was just drunk and sleepy?
It was good that it wasn’t a big crash though.
The scene was filled with sighs of relief as everyone let go.
“She’s still not sober after crashing like that?” Enrico stood there, glaring straight at Dr. Clinton, as if trying to detect the truth of the words from his face.
“The young lady has simply had too much to drink at night.” Dr. Clinton said helplessly.
He also silently paid attention to Paige, throughout the celebration banquet, he had never seen Paige stop, and changed the wine to drink, on this drinking method, that is, crashing to death did not feel, not to mention this simple bump.
