The three of them had just entered the pool when they involuntarily gasped. An extremely chilling sensation seeped into their bodies through every pore, making them feel as if they had plunged into an ice cave.
“Grand Elder, let’s begin!” Jennifer said, looking at Travis Clarke.
“Alright!” Travis Clarke nodded.
Then, the three elders, along with Caleb Clarke, sat cross-legged at the four corners of the blood pool. They each activated their bloodline powers and directed streams of Chi power into The Demon Pool.
In the next moment, the blood in The Demon Pool began to churn, and the turbulence grew increasingly intense. Soon, Billy and the others felt their blood flowing backward, as if countless ants were gnawing at their bones. This sensation grew stronger with time.
After about an hour, it felt as if countless sharp blades were cutting their skin, causing unbearable pain. Because they were submerged in the blood pool, they couldn’t see their own condition, but their skin was already covered with tiny cuts.
“Activate your bloodline!” Billy took a deep breath and said.
“Got it!” Casey and Stout responded simultaneously.
With the protection of their bloodline powers, the sensation weakened significantly, and the tiny cuts on their skin began to heal. However, as the turbulence in The Demon Pool intensified, their pain gradually increased again.
After another two hours, Casey and Stout’s expressions became extremely twisted. Veins bulged on their foreheads, and their bodies trembled uncontrollably. Their auras became extremely chaotic. Billy’s condition was slightly better; his bloodline power was undoubtedly much stronger than Casey’s and Stout’s. Although he was also in pain, it was still bearable.
“If you two can’t take it anymore, you can come up first!” Jennifer said, looking at Casey and Stout.
“I can hold on a bit longer!” Casey gritted his teeth and said. Stout didn’t have the strength to speak but clearly had no intention of giving up so soon.
Time continued to pass, and the blood in The Demon Pool boiled like lava. Casey and Stout were clearly at their limit, both in a semi-conscious state.
“Damn it, I can’t hold on anymore!”
Stout shouted and flew out of The Demon Pool, collapsing on the ground before passing out.
“Stout!” Azure Dragon members quickly approached him.
“Don’t touch him!” Jennifer said. “His bloodline has self-healing abilities; he’ll be fine in a while.”
“Will he be okay?” Night Orchid and Frostblade asked simultaneously.
“Don’t worry, he’ll be fine,” Jennifer reassured them.
After a while, Casey also emerged from The Demon Pool and fainted upon reaching solid ground. About two hours later, both of them woke up. The tiny wounds on their bodies had completely healed, and they were back to normal.
“Why do I feel like nothing has changed?” Stout asked Jennifer. “Ma’ma, punch me hard to test it!”
“Do you really want to test it?” Jennifer asked.
“Of course!” Stout nodded seriously. “I want to see if all this suffering was worth it!”
“Alright,” Jennifer replied.
“Wait a moment, let me prepare…” Stout began to say.
Before he could finish his sentence, Jennifer punched him hard. Stout flew backward and crashed into the wall behind him. The force of the punch was significant; the entire wall collapsed, and debris fell on Stout, leaving only his head exposed.
“Stout!” Felicia and Frostblade rushed over.
“Ouch, that hurt…” Stout crawled out from under the rubble, looking disheveled. Aside from a faint trace of blood at the corner of his mouth, he had no other significant injuries.
“Ma’ma, why did you attack me? I told you to wait until I was ready!” Stout looked at Jennifer with a resentful expression.
“That punch would have severely injured even a fourth-rank Prime Source Realm cultivator,” Jennifer replied.
Hearing this, Casey and the others couldn’t help but express their surprise. Stout was now at fifth-rank Supreme Ancestry Realm. Before this, his resilience was comparable to a half-step Prime Source Realm. Now it had increased by four or five levels?
“Is it really that powerful?” Stout’s eyes lit up. “Wait for me; I’ll go back in for another soak…”
“The extent to which your defensive ability can be enhanced by The Demon Pool depends on two factors,” Jennifer explained calmly. “One is your bloodline level, and the other is your cultivation level. So even if you go back in a hundred times at the same point in time, the improvement will be the same.”
“Alright then…” Stout stopped in his tracks.
Four or five hours later, Billy emerged from The Demon Pool in better condition than Casey and Stout had been. At least he didn’t faint. He sat cross-legged on a stone slab and began to heal his body using his bloodline power. An hour later, he opened his eyes and stood up.
“Boss, are you alright?” Casey asked.
“Yes,” Billy smiled and then bowed slightly to Jennifer and Caleb Clarke. “Thank you!”
“It’s nothing,” Jennifer replied.
“Ma’ma, why don’t you punch my boss to test it?” Stout suggested.
“With his bloodline power activated, I can’t hurt him anymore,” Jennifer said.
“Really?” Everyone was taken aback.
Although Jennifer had never mentioned her cultivation level, everyone guessed she was at least a half-step Returning Source Realm or even higher. Yet she couldn’t hurt the boss?
“Grand Elder, take some time in the next two days to teach Mr. Billy and his team Skybinder and The Shadow Codex,” Jennifer continued.
“Alright,” Travis Clarke nodded after a brief pause. He hadn’t expected that Miss Jennifer would pass on these two secret techniques of the Demonic Clan to Billy’s group. Even within the Demonic Clan, not everyone was qualified to learn these techniques, let alone outsiders.
“Ma’ma, what is Skybinder? Is it powerful?” Stout asked Jennifer.
“No point in asking now; you’ll find out when you practice it,” Jennifer replied as she led everyone out.
As they exited the cave and entered the valley, they sensed an extremely terrifying aura approaching them. Soon after, seven or eight people appeared in the sky.
“Who goes there?” Travis Clarke shouted as he flew up.
“They should be from Heaven Alliance. Shall we go up and take a look?” Jennifer asked Billy.
“Alright,” Billy nodded.
In no time, they all flew up into the sky above the valley. As expected, among the leading figures was Neil Armstrong.
“I didn’t expect you to actually do it,” Neil Armstrong said as he looked at Jennifer after glancing below. “But are you sure this won’t hasten the Demonic Clan’s demise?”
“A peer of your level won’t accomplish anything,” Jennifer said calmly. “If you want to deal with the Demonic Clan, call your superior. You are not a match.”
“Hah! Such arrogance!” The other leading man sneered coldly. “If the Demonic Clan had stayed quietly sealed away, perhaps they could have continued existing. But you insist on breaking the seal! You should know that when the Demonic Clan sees daylight again, it will be their end.”
