“Sir, is there anything else I can do for you?” The service was over, and it was time to collect the tip.
Leo took out a twenty-dollar bill and handed it over. The middle-aged white man happily accepted it and bowed, “Thank you, enjoy your meal.”
After speaking, he gracefully retreated.
After finishing his meal, Leo looked at the sky. It was getting a bit dark, so he decided to go to the casino for some fun.
As he walked into the lobby, a waiter in a white uniform quickly approached him with enthusiasm. “Sir, I’m Gavin. Your car is ready.”
“Very well, lead the way,” Leo nodded.
Ten minutes later, a luxurious Rolls-Royce stopped in front of El Dorado Casino.
A security guard immediately came forward and opened the car door attentively.
“Wait for me here,” Leo instructed Gavin before heading into the casino.
Behind him, a twenty-dollar bill fluttered down, which the security guard happily pocketed.
As soon as Leo stepped through the golden doors of the casino, he was struck by the opulence inside.
The enormous hall was dazzling with golden light. Even the fixtures were made of brass and sparkling crystal. It truly lived up to the name El Dorado Casino, exuding extreme luxury.
To the left were rows upon rows of slot machines, numbering in the thousands. Tourists from all over the world were trying their luck, some were hysterical, some beaming with joy, and others were filled with endless anticipation.
In the center and to the right were roulette and blackjack tables. The customers here were relatively more refined but still displayed dramatic changes in expression.
Leo estimated that there were tens of thousands of people in the massive hall, making it extremely noisy.
“Sir, may I assist you?” A young waiter seized the opportunity to approach him enthusiastically.
“What’s your name?” Leo asked calmly.
“Digger, sir,” the waiter replied respectfully.
“Alright, Digger. From now on, follow me. There will be benefits for you,” Leo smiled slightly.
“Thank you very much. It’s my honor,” Digger’s thin face lit up with joy.
“Get me a hundred thousand dollars in chips. I’ll start with a small bet,” Leo handed his credit card to Digger.
“Sir, eight green chips worth ten thousand dollars each and twenty yellow chips worth one thousand dollars each. Is that acceptable?” Digger quickly calculated, demonstrating his proficiency.
“That’s fine,” Leo nodded.
“Very well, please wait a moment,” Digger swiftly headed to the main gambling hall.
Two minutes later, Digger returned with a tray holding stacks of yellow and green chips and a glass of fine wine.
“Sir, your chips. And a fine wine from our casino for esteemed guests,” Digger said.
“Alright, follow me,” Leo picked up the wine and walked towards the card tables.
The tables were crowded, with few open spots. Leo frowned slightly.
Digger quickly pointed ahead, “Sir, there’s an open seat over there.”
Leo glanced over and saw an empty seat at a table. He walked over and sat down.
Digger stood quietly behind Leo.
The table was playing Five Card Stud. The dealer seemed to be on a winning streak with a large pile of chips in front of him, while the other players looked rather dismal. No wonder there weren’t many people at this table.
After one round ended, Leo signaled the dealer to deal with the cards. The dealer nodded, “Minimum bet is ten dollars, thank you.”
Two cards were dealt in turn.
Leo looked at his cards: a Jack. The dealer had a 7, and the other players had various cards.
“Jack is high, your move,” said the dealer.
“One thousand dollars,” Leo bet generously.
Digger quickly placed a yellow chip on the table.
The dealer and other players were surprised; starting with such a big bet?
“I’m out,” several cautious players immediately folded.
In the end, only Leo, the dealer, and a white player with a 9 remained.
“I’ll call,” both the dealer and the white player decided to stay in and another round of cards was dealt.
The dealer got an 8, and the white player got a 10.
Leo looked at his new card and said, “Not bad luck. My move again-two thousand dollars.”
Digger promptly placed two yellow chips on the table.
Both the dealer and white player changed their expressions-this Atrarian had strong confidence.
“I’ll call,” they both decided to stay in again.
In the fourth round of cards, Leo got a 6, the dealer got a King, and the white player got a Jack.
The dealer’s turn to act.
The dealer looked at his cards: 7, 8, King-not forming a straight. He glanced at Leo’s pair of Jacks and then at his own hole card before shaking his head dejectedly. “I’m out.”
He revealed his hole card-a 10.
Leo looked at the white player and gestured for him to act.
“Three thousand dollars,” said the white player calmly.
“I’ll call,” Leo didn’t hesitate.
In the fifth round of cards, Leo got a 7, and the white player got a King.
“My move again-five thousand dollars,” said the white player confidently.
Leo looked at the white player’s cards: 9, 10, Jack, King-not suited. Could his hole card be a Queen for a straight?
Without showing any emotion, Leo glanced at his own hole card and smiled. He gestured behind him. “I’ll call-five thousand dollars. Show your cards.”
The white player turned pale and revealed his hole card-a 10, not a Queen.
“Hehe, trying to bluff? I have three Jacks. Even two Jacks would beat you,” Leo revealed his hole card with a smile.
Wow!
The dealer pushed all the chips towards Leo.
“Atrarian boy, how about another round?” The dealer suddenly suggested.
“I’ll join too,” said the white player unwilling to admit defeat.
“Alright, the minimum bet is one thousand dollars. Deal the cards,” Leo signaled for another round.
The small-time gamblers saw the high stakes and didn’t dare join in.
So this round was just between Leo, the dealer, and the white player.
The cards were dealt: Leo had a 10 showing; the dealer had a 7; and the white player had a 6-the lowest card showing.
“My move-three thousand dollars,” Leo bet boldly right from the start.
“No reason to fear you early on-I’ll call,” both the dealer and white player pushed forward three thousand dollars in chips each.
Another round of cards was dealt: Leo got a 7; the dealer also got a 7; and the white player still had a 6 showing.
Leo’s expression changed slightly; luck didn’t seem to be on his side this time.
“Tied high cards-dealer’s move.” The dealer seemed confident this time and gritted his teeth. “Five thousand dollars.”
The white player hesitated but said, “I’ll call.”
Leo looked at his hole card again; if he called now, his chances of winning were slim.
After thinking for a moment, Leo sneered. “I’ll call.”
Though Digger was somewhat worried, he still pushed forward five thousand dollars in chips.
“Good courage-deal,” said the dealer with a cold smile.
Another round of cards was dealt: Leo got a 9; the dealer got an 8; and amazingly, the white player still had a 6 showing-three sixes in total. Both Leo’s and the dealer’s faces changed slightly at this sight.
