Prescott’s POV
The door opened, and the guards stepped aside, allowing me to enter. As I crossed the threshold, my gaze fell on the final captive, who was staring at me with eyes wide with fear.
The captive’s eyes were like saucers, his pupils dilated in fear. His body was tense as if he were ready to flee at the slightest provocation. It was clear that he was petrified, and I knew I had to tread carefully if I wanted to get anything from him.
I walked a little deeper into the room and turned around to face the pack’s guards who had escorted me to the interrogation room. “Did he say anything regarding who Eruba is?” my eyes were on the two guards as I stopped by the window.
The two hesitated for a while, staring at one another for a while before they decided to speak.
“No. Not at all, Your Majesty!” they chanted in unison.
My teeth gritted in a fit of obvious anger as I grabbed the curtains. “Ahh, I see,” I growled, swiftly turned my back on them pushed the curtains aside before shutting the window.
I let out a drag of air as I thought of what I could do to get words from the last captive, he was my last hope, nope, he was the missing link to get to Eruba, and I feared I might lose every chance to get to the infamous rogue leader if I messed up my last chance.
Thinking of what I could do to make the rogue talk, I concluded that he might not want to talk if the guards were there with us. I sighed, my shoulders heaved with worries as I remembered Nova, my wife, my Queen was somewhere unknown to me, suffering for what she knew nothing about.
“I want the both of you to leave this building, right this instance,” I turned around, staring at the guards who pulled out a confused look. “Including you, Czar!”
Czar’s head shot up at the mention of his name but he hid his surprise with a faint smile. “Yes, Your Majesty!” he gulped down and bowed before escorting the two guards out of the interrogation room.
Finally! I let out a puff of air, knowing I could talk the captive into giving me a piece of information about Eruba.
“Now, it’s just us in here.” I smiled and shut the window blind before walking up to the captive.
“You,” I paused and took a good look at the rogue who seemed to be fighting the urge to run his mouth. “You do have something to say to me, don’t you?”
“Mmph!” he grumbled, drool dripping from his mouth.
Seeing his mouth had been tied with a chain made me nod my head in total understanding.
“You’ve been gagged, I can see that.” I sighed and leaned back into my seat, my gaze drifted to my side and I could see the torturing tools had been set on the table.
“Seemed they want me to torture you to speak, but I am not going to do as they want.” a sly smile tugged at my lips as I watched the rogue widen his eyes in horror. “You’re a werewolf-like them, why should I treat you like an animal just because of your one-time mistake?”
“Mmph!” he grumbled, struggling with the shackles he was tied with.
The captive whose name would be useless to be known struggled with the chains, his arms had fresh cuts while struggling to break free from the chain and I could see blood, oozing out of his cuts.
“Easy. If you have something to say, just give me a sign and stop struggling to speak.” I uttered my palm on my forehead, wiping out a ball of sweat that had suddenly formed on my upper face.
“Mmph!” he grunted, more drool dripped down his mouth as he tried to speak.
That won’t do!
I sighed, my fingers clenching into a tight fist as I glared at him. “Don’t make this hard for me, nod your head if you have something you have to say to me.”
“Mmph! Mmph!” he hummed again, I hissed, going for his gag and I gripped it tightly before pulling it down his mouth.
“Good. I hope to the goddess that you won’t make me regret ever losing your gag.” I growled, my heart was beating louder in my chest as I watched tears stream down the rogue’s eyes.
Somehow, I felt something I shouldn’t be feeling after my parents died, but I couldn’t help but feel sorry for the rogue, even though his identity was still unknown to me.
“Mmph!” he huffed again, my head snapped at him and I almost crunched him for sounding that way again, even after I had lost his gag.
“Now, can you spill the beans already?” I barked, I was losing my cool and I feared I might kill him off if he chose to infuriate me.
“Go! Hmph! Mmmmph!” the rogue seemed to have something to say, but making that sound wasn’t what I had planned to hear.
“You messing with me right now? Speak, I order you!” I crossed my legs, my arms wrapped around my chest, and my eyebrows were slightly raised in anger.
“Mmmph!” he struggled with his chain, his hands clenched tightly as he glared at him.
“You got your tongue cut or what?” I asked, my lips moving into a slight scoff as I watched him continue his struggle with the chains.
My eyes widened in surprise as the captive seemed to be reminded of something he was fighting so hard to forget.
“Seriously? You lost your tongue?” I smiled, it was rather too foolish of me to be that playful around them.
I leaned forward, grabbed his chin and forced his mouth open by pressing my fingers on both sides of his cheeks.
“Ughhhh!” he gasped, his mouth opened slightly and I could finally see his tongue had been cut off.
“Fuck! Heaven! Who did this?” I yelled, my hand sliding down from his face as I pulled back in my seat, watching him huff and pant heavily as he tried to take in the embarrassment of showing his tongue to me.
“Gooooooo! Mmmmph!” the last captive made yet another horrible sound.
“You don’t know?” I barked, “Can you connect to my mind?” my head was already spinning at the realization that I might end up not getting a word from him.
The captive shook his head, tears rolled down his eyes and I let out a tired sigh.
“Fuck! You werewolf are one piece of work!” I kicked his seat, making him fall to the floor with a loud thud.
I connected with Czar, my heart beating with fury as I howled into his mind, “Czar! Get me Alpha Randale,” my breath hitched, and my fingers curled into a fist.
“I want him in the interrogation room, now!”
I sprang up to my feet, my mind was racing with anger. I grabbed the captive by his collar and pulled him back on his seat.
“Does the person who did it reside in this pack” I growled, my eyes blazing with fury as I glared into his eyes.
“Mmmph!” he shut his eyes, shaking his head like he had no idea of who the person was.
Fuck! Heavens! I can’t even mind linking with the werewolf rogue, how the heck was I going to get anything from him? I felt helpless so I let go of his shirt and went back to my seat.
With a heavy sigh, I asked, “You don’t know? Is it one of the guards?”
“Mmmph!” he shook his head, his eyes were still shut so I wondered what he was thinking in his mind.
“Fuck! Heavens!” I yelled out, hitting my feet on the ground which startled the rogue. His eyes widened and his gaze moved to the door.
The door opened, and Alpha Randale’s scents filled the air.
“Your Majesty, you ask for my audience?” he huffed, I leaned back in my seat, glaring at the rogue before me.
“Randale, can you tell me what in the fuck name happened to this captive?” I crossed my arms, and my head was beginning to hurt as the sharp edge of the iron seat pressed gently on my head, but I wasn’t going to take off my head, I needed the pain just so my mind would be at peace.
Alpha Randale got to my side, his fingers were intertwined to his back as he stared at me with a confused gaze. “I fear I don’t know what that is. What are you talking about, Your Majesty?”
“Did anyone interrogate him after I left?” I asked, my mind was going wild and I might end up killing both the captive and the Alpha, if I didn’t compose myself.
Randale shook his head negatively, “No. Not at all, your Majesty. I didn’t approve of his interrogation.”
“I guess he must have woken up one morning and decided to chop off his tongue.” I scoffed, staring at the ceiling with resentment.
“I… I’m sorry about that, your Majesty!” Alpha Randale stuttered, his breath was uneven and I let out a sigh.
“Save the apologies for later, if I leave this pack without getting anything from him, I will have you punished for that.” I stood up from the seat, the iron seat made a noisy sound as I got up from it.
I grabbed the Alpha by the neck and pushed him to the nearest wall, his back pressed roughly against the wall and he let out an agony cry.
I glared into his eyes, my claws piercing into his neck, “Your incompetence as a ruler made me lose my last hope in getting the information I needed, but if anything happens to her because of this, I will rain hellfire on this pack, and none of your species will escape my wrath.” I hissed, my words dripping with venom. My eyes flashed with fury, and I could feel the violence simmering beneath my skin.
I pushed him to the floor, and he fell to the floor with a loud thud, panting heavily with his hands on his neck.
I turned around to leave, my fists were trembling with anger. I got to the door, and I was about to grab the doorknob when the Alpha coughed out.
“The captive,” he coughed, standing up to his feet, “I think he has something to say to you, your Majesty.”
