CHAPTER 132 – ALL IS FAIR IN … AND WAR

SCARLET’S POV
It was sad news about Lara, and it hurt me so much. Kendra is not a person to sugarcoat words, and so if she says Lara is getting better, then I know Lara is truly getting better.
“Robin, take them to the battlefield, and please address them properly on your way” I instructed. “But before you leave, I will have to do this” I grabbed my sword and cut my wrist open.
“My Chamlar…” Rich exclaimed in fear and rushed to me. He wanted to use his hand to stop the flow of blood but I moved back.
“Luna…” Kendra screamed.
I grinned as I watched the blood flow. It was about time I do this.
“Allow me, Rich and Kendra, Diamond Cut has chosen to fight an unfair battle, but what am I even saying, didn’t they say that all is fair in love and war? I am going to make the bite from my men highly lethal. I will give each of the wolves my blood to drink and whoever they bite would have a very thin chance of surviving. And for this, I am the only antidote” I revealed with a growl.
Everyone was taken aback by my words. They all gazed in dismay before slowly taking their faces away.
“Are you sure that would be the right idea, what about your health, my Chamlar?” Rich asked in a panic.
“It is a win at all costs, Rich, we have to do this. And I don’t care if this succeeds in wiping out the whole of Diamond Cut, what do I care anyway?” I replied.
Rich murmured some inchoate words with a squeezed face and took his gaze away from me.
I have been fighting this battle fairly for too long, but what did the enemy do? They left the battleground and took the battle to the harmless and helpless people.
What if I had not left Chamlee and a few other soldiers then my people would have been completely wiped out.
Extinguished.
I growled out loud again and clenched my fists. This is another phase of the war and I must see to it that no mercy is shown.
“Every one of you that has a wolf should step forward” I ordered.
They all started to come closer one after the other. I put a drop of my blood in their mouths and they swallowed reluctantly.
“Bite at the enemies, spare no one. You all have become venomous and a single bite from you will automatically weaken the victim” I commanded in a loud voice.
“Yes, my Chamlar” they all chorused.
My eyes were beginning to drool, and I staggered a little before gaining control of myself again.
“Chamlar, are you okay?” the frightened Rich rushed to hold me.
“It is okay, Rich. It is just because of the little power that left me” I replied. “Get me a little container, Kendra” I requested.
She handed a container to me and I filled it with my blood and handed it back to her. “Give this to our werewolves in the battleground, they should each take just a tiny drop. Please be discreet about it, it must not get into the wrong hands” I instructed.
“I will, Chamlar” she replied.
“You all can leave now” I ordered and they all ran off to the battle.
“Are you okay, Chamlar. You are already looking so pale?” Rich inquired.
“I am fine, Rich. I will have to rest until Chamlee gets here. Now come and have yours”
He drew closer, and I placed a drop of my blood in his mouth.

LANDON’S POV
“No way, Chamlar, there is no way I and Rich would leave you here, one of us has to be here with you” I exclaimed with my eyes almost pumping out immediately I was informed of the decision to have me and some of the wounded soldiers leave for Pixolands with Rich.
I was still on the bed, and still feeling weak but I knew that very soon, I would be strong again to defend the Chamlar. I don’t think leaving her all alone in this fight would be the best.
“Pixolands was attacked, Landon, it needs you too. And moreover, Chamlee would come here tomorrow” the Chamlar persuaded.
“Then I will remain here until Chamlee gets here” I insisted.
“You are coming with me, Landon. The Luna needs some time to concentrate on the battle. There is no time for her to be attending to sick soldiers. I have to take you all with me” Rich inputted impatiently as he paced around the tent.
I moved my head away and shut my eyes angrily.
Rich was right, the Luna is only wasting her time with us here, especially with me. She has been here to attend to me since yesterday. But then, what if the camp was attacked, what if the enemies got her?
I could not believe that I would allow myself to get this helpless. I sighed. “Tomorrow is such a long time” I murmured.
“Come on, Landon” the luna placed her hand on my head and went on. “Today is almost over and I will remain here and wait for my Chamlee to come. Please go back and take care of yourself, you can return whenever you are okay and ready to fight. However, Rich would have to be in charge in Pixolands until this fight is over”
“I am coming back as soon as I can stand straight” I murmured in protest.
“And I hope that before then, the war would have been over with victory on our side” she smiled beautifully.
I smiled too and took her hand in mine. She allowed the moment for a while before standing up. “You will have to get up now, Landon” she ordered.
As I was about to get up, Rich ran over to me and helped in lifting me up carefully.
“Now I will give you my blood. It will make your bite venomous” she said.
“It is already making you weak, my Chamlar. If I am returning to Pixolands, then I don’t think I need it” I protested.
“They already attacked once, I know it will be foolish of them to attack again but Diamond Cut will rather act foolishly than be easily predicted. I don’t want to take any chances” she explained.
I saw no need to insist. If we want to win this war against Diamond Cut, then we have to employ all available strategies. I closed my eyes and opened my mouth wide while she went on with her task.
I squealed at the first taste of her blood. It tasted bitter and acidic at first but gradually became completely tasteless.
I earnestly pray that everything goes in our favour.
