VIOLET’S POV
“What!” Elise exclaimed and started to pace around the room. “Don’t tell me you were unable to do it”
“Do what?” I asked.
“Don’t tell me you have been going to see her just for some merry go round” she spat.
“I already told you what happened. That god-forsaken guy threw off the whole thing” I replied.
“But she had a taste of it right? She must have eaten the ice cream before the accident” she inquired.
“No, she didn’t. See I am not too sure about that, but he threw it away almost as soon as I handed it over to her” I replied.
“All she needed was a taste of it. Even if she had just inhaled it that should have sufficed” she murmured.
“And what happened after then, did you give her another?” she asked.
“I could not. She is been careful around me and tries to keep me at arm’s length. I know all the shit that I had to endure just to make her have me around her” I responded.
“But then you have been going to the Packhouse so why not look for another opportunity to implement the plan?” she interrogated.
“I said I can barely move around freely with the eyes of her servants piercing through my soul” I yelled. “See, even after going there so many times, with them, every day looks just like my first”
“But you are not just going to give up. You have achieved the first step which is getting closer to her” she said.
“This might not work, Elise. I just have to find another way around this before I get caught” I replied.
“Find your way. Did I hear you say to find your way? What other way is there?” she asked.
I smiled at her question and said. “I am going to do this my way. I am going to find that skeleton inside of her cupboard. And by the time I am done, I will have her most dreaded secret lying bare before me” I responded.
“Secret” she murmured. “With someone like Scarlet, I doubt if there are any secrets,” she said.
“There are a lot of secrets, Elise, I just have to look at the right places” I replied.
My response caused her to be excited and she comes closer to me. “What are there? Tell me her secret and let us finish her at once” she begged.
“I don’t have them yet, but I know exactly where to look” I replied.
“Now I am beginning to think that you are not serious, Violet” she was disappointed.
“See, no need to be disappointed. I think she is having an affair with Rich” I revealed.
“Rich, is he not supposed to be her trainer?” she exclaimed and covered and her mouth with her hand.
“Yes, that is it. I watched them dance at her restaurant…”
“You restaurant” she cuts in.
I giggled. “My restaurant. By the time I am done, Jake would have no other option but to hand over Deluxe Delight to me with an apology” I replied.
“She danced with him, what kind of luna dances with her servant?” she asked.
“The type that has no shame, Scarlet” I murmured.
“Then take this news to alpha Jake immediately” she suggested.
“Not this one. I will need more than this news to walk up to the alpha” I replied.
“But the time is going. If we continue to delay this way, she will give the alpha an heir” she said.
“Stop it” I yelled. “There is no one to carry the alpha’s child but me”
The thought of her getting pregnant for my Jake increased my heartbeat and caused my stomach to rumble. Now I will have to do all I can to take her out of his life. Jake is mine and only I can carry his child.
“And what other choice do you have but to poison her?” she asked.
“I know Jake would not want me to do this, but right now I have no other option. I will trace her to her root. I have my suspicion about her” I replied.
“Suspicion?” she asked.
“Yes, a lot of it. I have noticed some strange things about her” I replied.
“You are getting my emotions stirred up. Go on with it already, what and what have you noticed about her?” she inquired.
I smiled at her. I know that once I reveal to her all that I have come to discover, she will agree with me that I have not been going to the Packhouse for play all along.
“Calm down, my friend,” I said.
She was so excited and I have to wait for her to calm down. When she appeared to be more relaxed, I started.
“Scarlet does not wear any revealing clothes,” I said.
“Okay, but then she is the luna, right? You don’t expect her to walk around indecently dressed” she replied.
“That is far from it, Elise. I know what I am saying. She always has her body covered up. She is so conscious of it that whenever she has to wear a dress with a short sleeve, it has to go with her veil” I explained.
“And now I must agree that that is a little strange. Every classy woman especially for someone in her position would like to have men hover over the richness of her skin” she responded.
“Now you understand. And then, is she not the luna? She is a werewolf right, so why has she never agreed to shift for a race? See no matter how inviting the moon appears Scarlet would never agree to join us in a wolf race. I made my harmless inquiries only to discover that she had never shifted since she arrived” I narrated.
“Now it is getting serious. Which luna would not want her wolf to meet the wolf of her alpha? Are you sure there is anything left of the alpha? She used very strong black magic on him. If not, why is he not conscious of all these?” she asked.
“This leaves us to what the problem might be considering the fact that she is truly the first daughter of the fearsome Diamond Cut Pack” I murmured.
“Yes, she is beta Tim’s daughter” she muttered.
“I know Jake would be against my doing this, but that is the only option I have if I want to reclaim my love,” I said.
“Not to worry, Vio, I know just the right person to contact to help us. In time, we would have the whole information that we seek on the tips of our fingers” she replied.
I laughed hysterically, and she joined me in laughing. What seemed to be like an impossible situation now appears so easy. And by the time I am done with her, she will be begging to be sent back to her family in one piece.
