SCARLET’S POV
Lara and I were heading to the training ground when we came across Dawn and Gina talking to themselves with their faces looking away from us. We passed them without saying a word but then, Dawn stopped us.
“And where do you think you are going, you fools?” she asked.
We stopped and looked towards her direction.
“Am I not talking to someone, or have you both gone deaf?” she yelled.
“We are going to the training ground” Lara answered.
“And I see Scarlet has grown too big that she can no longer answer my questions,” she said and Gina giggled looking at us with a look of triumph.
“I am not ignoring you, Dawn, Lara here has already answered your question” I replied.
“And how dare the two of you walk past me without first stopping to greet? What if I needed either or the both of you for something?” she asked.
“You were discussion with Gina and we wouldn’t want to create any distractions” I replied.
“I am glad you know what you are good for, creating a distraction. And why have I not been seeing you lately, what have you been up to? Oh, a little bird whispered to me that you are trying to create some disaster AT Crystal Realms” she giggled.
She moved closer to me and continued. “See let me tell you, you will never amount to anything no matter how hard you try”
“An opportunist that is what she is,” Gina said.
“And what did you just say?” Lara asked Gina.
“Nothing, I said nothing. See, I am sorry and I am out of here anyways” Gina said and left amidst Dawn’s call to make her stay.
“Where are you going, dear, what is happening here? Please come back” Dawn called out to Gina but she did not listen.
Dawn turned to us. “Just pray nothing happens with Gina or hell will be better than your stay here” she threatened.
She left us and ran after Gina trying to make her come back.
“She is as scared as hell,” Lara said as she looked in the direction of the two of them.
“Which of them, Gina?” I asked.
“The both of them” she replied.
We left where we were standing and continued on our way to the training ground. Rich would be tired by now, waiting for us.

Lara held on to my waist while I tried to pull away from her. Rich has given me the task to pull away from Lara and I have been on that for the past ten minutes without recording any success.
“This is fantastic, Scarlet. Let her be, Lara” Rich clapped.
Lara let go of me and the both of us sat on the ground panting and fanning ourselves with our hands. I was almost ready to give up and I am glad that he stopped us when he did.
“But I could not free myself even though I tried really hard” I panted.
“The goal was not for you to free yourself. I only wanted to test the level of your persistence. And of course, it would have been an added bonus if you had been able to free yourself from Lara” he said.
“She was truly a hard nut to crack and if you have not stopped us when you did, I meant have given up” Lara revealed still panting.
“Lara, get you guys some water, the both of you did very well. I am impressed” he ordered.
Lara stood up and went for the water. “I had never imagined that Scarlet would hold on that long,” she said.
“I was about to give up before he stopped us. I am glad he did or maybe I would have passed out in your grip” I said.
“No, you were really something else. I must confess that you are getting really strong” Lara said.
She sat and drank from the water. She handed the rest over to me and I drank it all.
“Thanks, Lara,” I said.
Rich came to sit with us. “Tell me, Scarlet, how is it going with your darling?” he asked.
“My darling?” I looked at him wondering what he was talking about.
“Yes, Ray… Alpha Ray. What is happening between you two?” he clarified.
“We are cool” I whispered.
“You are cool? Of course, we know you both are cool. But that is not what we want to hear, or is it, Lara?” he asked.
“I think we deserve to hear more” Lara said.
“Okay, if you guys insist. Ray said that we should give it some time, especially as he can’t tell if I am his mate” I replied.
“But are there any feelings between you two yet? How is the romance going?” Lara asked.
“The emotions are building, I can feel it. I know he would be fully committed soon and I just can’t wait to have him all to myself” I replied.
“Wow, that is so romantic. Please can you tell us more, we need full details” Lara cried.
The thought about my time with Ray gave me fulfillment. It filled my heart with joy and gladdens my spirit. He is the best thing to have ever happened to me and I cherish every single time that I spent with him and I would continue to savor every moment as long as I breathe.
“He took me out to the most beautiful places in his Pack and he pampered me all through. He treated me as if I am a newborn child. It felt good to be with him. He hides no secret from me, he tells me everything even to the tiniest detail. He would dedicate all his time to training me without getting tired or in the least discouraged. And he revealed to me that he wanted me just as much as I want him. But he said we need to give it time” I said.
I could go on and on talking about Ray, the alpha of my heart, and never stop. I can sing about him to the envy of the birds, I can pride about it to the jealousy of even the peacock, and I can wear it as a crown to the hate of the strongest of kings.
For Ray, I would climb the highest mountain, cross the deepest sea and hunt the evilest forest.
“It is proper that you give it some time, at least it affords the both of you the opportunity to get to know yourselves better” Rich said.
“It is right?” I asked. “But what if he changes his mind?” I asked.
“Change his mind, whatever made you say so?” Lara asked.
“That is my greatest fear. And you know no one will blame him if he does. But then I don’t want to lose him, I don’t think I would be able to go on if he does” I replied.
“If it is willed by the moon goddess, you are not going to lose him. But if he is not yours, then you must accept that as fate. Know that greater things lie ahead of you” Lara said.
“Yes, Scarlet, Lara is right, there is nothing to be afraid of because what will be will be” Rich added.
“Are you guys sure?” I asked.
“Yes, and we assure you that you are not going to lose him. No one will take him away from you” Lara said.
“You two have been friends for quite a long time and that only goes to show that you are meant to be” Rich added.
“I am sorry if my reaction was pathetic” I apologized.
“It is nothing dear, it shows just how much you are in love and that is proper” Rich said.
“Thanks, you too” I smiled.
I looked at my friends as they both shared in my joy and rejoiced with me. They are the best and I am happy to have them by my side.
“You are welcome, dear” Rich replied.
“Never forget that we are always here with you,” Lara said.
“I know right? And I love you both dearly” I responded.
“And we love you too” they replied.
