I got to the dinning room, expecting Mum Emily to ask me why I wasted time in calling Jayden but she didn’t, Jayden must have handled it.
I filled my plate with food on Mum Emily’s order, I wouldn’t let what happened few minutes ago stop me from eating the delicious delicacy I’ve been salivating of.
I could feel Jayden’s burning gaze boring holes on my skin, I was sitting three seats opposite him, I ignore him and ate my food as though he doesn’t exist.
I ate to my full, stood up and greeted them then packed the plate to the kitchen since everyone was already done.
I started washing the plates and few minutes into it, a hand wrapped around my waist making me jerk and the cup I was holding slipped out of my hands and shattered.
I looked back to see it was Jayden who startled me, I shot him an annoying glare and quickly bent down to pick the shattered glass.
A piece of it struck my pinky finger, sticking into it. “Ahhh I yelled, blood ooze out of my hand as the pain seep in.
“Shit, why do you have to pick a broken glass with your bare hands, are you such a dummy” Jayden scolds and left the kitchen in a haste.
I stepped away from the shattered glass, went into the dinning and sat on a chair, placed my wounded hand into my mouth and started sucking the blood to prevent it from flowing.
The pain spread through me, I let out a low grunt taking in the pain while blowing air to it.
“You really are something else Rhoda, why would you lick your dirty finger which is soaked in blood, isn’t that disgusting?” Jayden’s voice rang out from my back making me jerk up and turned back to see him standing at my back with a first aid box.
“I was only doing that to reduce the blood” I say and he scoffed and sat beside me, took hold of my hand, I try resisting but he pressed on it making me scream out in pain.
“Stay quiet and allow me pull out the piece of glass that’s stuck inside” he said and I nodded in pains.
He held my hands, his eyes pinned on me, he blew a little air on it, applied a certain liquid which chilled my hands and before I could say Jack Robinson, he pulled out the piece of glass which was stuck Inside my pinky finger and I let out a piercing scream.
“Ssshhh, you can’t even bear pains but your mouth is always sharp” he mocked making roll my eyes.
He cleaned the blood that came out when he pulled out the glass with a disinfectant, then wrapped it up. I do not need to worry about it because it was going to heal in few minutes as the glass inside was already out.
I thanked him and tried going back to the kitchen to finish up with the glass but he stopped me and started packing it.
“Go back to your room” he said and I nodded. I went back to my room and since I wasn’t feeling pains any longer, I unwrapped it and saw that it was already healed.
I pull off my shirt which which a little stained with blood, I could still taste the metallic taste of the blood I sucked earlier on my mouth so I had to brush and bath.
I came out of the bathroom after I was done bathing, picked up my phone and decided to call my Mom to know how she’s fairing. I dialed her number and it rang till the end without her picking.
I dialed it over and over and it kept ringing without her picking it up. I groan knowing she might be in the living room watching kdrama or cooking in the kitchen thereby leaving it in her bedroom.
Maybe I should call Rose to know how she got home, I say and dialed her number and she picked almost immediately.
“Hey boo” she called out from the other side of the phone. “You sound happy, what happened” I queried on hearing her happy voice.
“Well my dear friend, Max parents are planning to fly Max and I out to further our education after our high school” she squeal and I could feel she’s jumping.
“Awwww Rose you are so lucky and I’m happy for you” I beam excited for my friend.
She’s super lucky to have Max, his parents treats her right, taking care of her as their own daughter even though she has her own parents but one would barely know Max parents aren’t hers.
I love the bond between the both of them, they do virtually everything together and their love for each other are so strong that sometimes I envy her, not that Luca isn’t loving but his mother doesn’t want me for him.
We talked for a while before we say our goodbye, I dialed my mother’s number after dropping Rose’s and thankfully she picked and jeez, this mother of mine was asking me why I wasn’t home yet.
“Really Mom, you were the one who told me to go with Rose when we told you about her parents travel and how she needs my company Mom” I groaned frustratedly.
“Oh I said that? I never knew I thought you said you wanted to excort her out, I never knew you were talking about staying for a whole week with her” she said and I scoff.
I can’t believe kdrama got you so less concerned that you can’t even give an account to where your daughter was Really mummy I can’t believe this” I roll my eyes.
“Am sorry baby, you won’t understand, that movie was so interesting that it got me hooked till the end, you should watch this movie and I know you will definitely love it” she laughed.
Whatever, good night Mom, go continue watching your movie while I have my beauty sleep” I grunt and ended the call, toss my phone on the bed and stood up to pick out my pajamas, wore it and switched off the table lamb, climbed the bed and closed my eyes in sleep.
