Kira, clutching her throat with her hand, trying to gasp for air, quickly started moving away from the bed on seeing the way Bryan and Aiden were acting. Bryan had turned to look at her, but his eyes were just the same as Aiden’s.
As the fear set in, her chest heaved while she tried to take deep breaths, she gulped and made small noises from the discomfort she felt around her throat. Quickly her eyes, moving around the room, Kira begins to crawl away from the center of the bed, panicking.
As she crawled, looking for somewhere to hide, a way to protect herself from the confusing thing that was happening at the moment, she ended up losing her balance and falling off the edge of the bed with a loud thud.
“Oww”, she managed to say, rubbing her butt, but she made sure she was as quiet as possible, not wanting to draw any attention.
In no time, she scrambles to the space between the bed and the floor, pulling herself into a tight position in a form of protection. She pressed her back against the side of the bed, her legs drawn up to her chest as she tried to stay calm, still whole, taking deep breaths.
“What if they really kill me? Is that their plan?”, Kira thought, “I knew it, I can’t stay here, I should have never let them touch me, that stupid heat, I won’t survive here”, she sniffed and quickly tried the tears that rolled down her face.
All the while, she could hear Aiden groan from how hard Bryan had flung him to the wall. All she did was just hide herself in that small corner, keep quiet and just seem invisible to her Alphas.
Meanwhile, Bryan was almost losing control, trying to get his brother to stay sane and focused. This was the first time it had gotten this extreme with the curse and all. Bryan had more hold than Aiden in resisting the pull from the curse, but Aiden also had enough resistance, but today it was just so bad and Bryan was also having a hard time holding back.
He managed to walk up to Aiden, pull him up by the shoulder from the floor and slam him into the wall again, “AIDEN TYRELL, FOCUS!”, He growled at his brother, the coldness from his voice, making Kira gulp and shiver at where she was hiding.
With a few more hits and slaps from Bryan, Aiden seemed to be getting back control of his mind especially, they had not still figured out how the whole thing works.
“Aiden, we have to go – now. I don’t know how much longer I can hold back,” Bryan whispered to his brother, breathing heavily, “Stay in f*cking control.”
After some minutes, Aiden muttered, “Let’s go.”
He was back.
They wasted no time and left the room immediately. It was only when Kira heard them leave and the sound of the door shut, was when she released a breath she had no idea she was holding all along.
She quickly got up from where she was hiding, ran to the door and locked it shut. Not that that would save her from them if they come back but at least she had to do something.
She watched the door, her heart racing, moving backwards, still steadily watching the door knob and lock with full concentration. Paranoid about them coming back.
As she watched the door, lost in trance, before she knew it the door knob twisted. The first one making her heart race, the second twist to open the door, made her fall to the ground and crawl backwards fearing the Alpha twins returning. But the third try was a knock, someone at the other end, telling her to open the door.
“Kira? Kira?”, the voice called out to her. But she was just so tired. Since Bryan and Aiden brought her back to this pack, she has just been on the edge. Weird things happening here and there, she just could not take it anymore.
On the other hand, Bryan and Aiden were rushing to a room. A room they only had access to, no one else. The room was in a hidden place in the mansion. Somewhere that no one knew existed, unless maybe just very few trusted people, but it was rare.
Aiden was in front and opened the door, switching on the light, “Where is it?”, he asked his brother quickly.
Bryan was already on the move for it, Aiden quickly taking his.
The room was cold and on one side of the room, it was much darker than where there was light with heavy iron thick chains, hung from the ceiling and ground. And on the other side of the room, was where a metal table was at, covered in neatly arranged syringes, needles and glass vials filled with some strange liquids.
It all happened so fast. With steady hands, they both got a hold of the syringe. Each with his own as they uncapped it and plunged the needle into each of their small vials.
As quickly as it filled the syringe, their jaw clenched, head pounding and immediately with a sharp intake of breath, they stabbed the needle into their thigh, the sting of the metal piercing their flesh.
Aiden groaned, while Bryan hissed as the liquid seeped into their muscles.
This whole liquid was made by a witch, it was supposed to help them with the curse, so it was an extremely strong liquid even for them. The witch had done so many enchantments with their blood with some ingredients and herbs like Mandrake root, Mugwort, etc.
“Is it going to work? This is the first time we are trying this, it never got this serious,” Bryan asked Aiden.
“There is always a first time for everything, brother”, Aiden smirked, despite the pain and stress he was feeling.
“It better work, and we will need to see her again about this, we have never had it get this bad, there were little signs, but this was just too extreme, f*ck”, Bryan cursed out angrily, “I really hate this.”
Aiden just sighed and patted Bryan’s back, “I hate this too, but good thing we are prepared, hopefully it works and keeps us at bay.”
Bryan nodded, “Hopefully it does.”
Aiden pulled himself from where he was resting, feeling the liquid he had injected in his body, start to work, it was just as the witch had described they would feel.
“It’s happening,” Bryan announced, also feeling it.
Aiden nodded and let out a breath, “Now, the chains!”
