“Chloe! What Nova do you speak of? Are you sick? Who is Nova?” Alpha Arthur presses his palm on my neck, like he’s trying to check my temperature. I know he’s trying to make me look stupid.
“Alpha, I know there is something going on with my sister. I heard she was stoned, and it almost cost her life. I don’t know how she was saved or survived the incident, but I was wondering how her wounds healed so fast. I know we werewolves have the ability to heal, but not such deep wounds in a short period of time,” a light smile played on my lips as I gaze at him.
Alpha Arthur pulls his face closer to mine, “Are you that desperate that you want your sister gone?” He asked out of the blue and I gulped down hard.
Why was he asking about desperation? This is not me being desperate. Alpha Arthur is my right, and I can’t share him with another female. I worked my ass to be in this position of his Luna, and it has nothing to do with desperation but hard work. No woman would want to hand over her husband to another woman.

I wasn’t expecting him to say something reasonable to me. It’s Elara we are speaking of and he would do whatever he could, to protect her. But I always have my way around things. I know how to get what I want.
