Callie forcefully pushed him away, “Get out!”
But she forgot that the initiative between the two was never in her hands. The man sneered, “Get out?”
In that moment of looking down on her, his hands intentionally moved to her chest.
With a gentle flick, the nightgown’s belt came undone, and Callie didn’t have time to react as her upper body was pulled up and pressed down. This man, almost frenzied, grabbed her hands and lifted them upward, leaving two kiss marks on her neck.
They weren’t kisses at all but rather bites.
The woman was awakened by the pain, and she wanted to slap him. But helplessly, her hands were restrained, and she screamed, “Nelson, what is wrong with you!”
Out of the corner of her eye, she seemed to notice that his left hand was clean, with no ring in sight.
Nelson suddenly softened his actions, gently touching her trembling eyes, and asked in a low voice, “Is it Jaquan?”
Very well.
Callie was stunned in shock when she heard him.
The voice continued like a demon’s: “Have I not been good to you?”
Taking the opportunity, the man removed her nightgown and harshly pressed down.

The next day.
It was a drizzly day, the mountains in the distance shrouded in mist, and the rain soaked the fallen leaves.
The weather forecast said this heavy rain would last for a whole week.
Callie lay in bed, the thin blanket carelessly covering her, revealing her smooth shoulders. She didn’t know how long she had been staring blankly with her eyes open. Finally, she moved and walked towards the bathroom.
Her exposed skin was mottled with bruises.
With even the slightest movement, her whole body felt like it had been dismantled and reassembled, causing her face to scrunch up in pain.
She remembered being sober for about three times last night, but then…she passed out.
When she woke up again, all she saw was her broken self, and there was no sign of him around. The indescribable emptiness pressed heavily on her.
Due to the weather, it felt oppressive inside too. When she went downstairs for a meal, the servants saw her, all bowing their heads to avoid her gaze, showing nothing but sympathy.
Callie felt almost suffocated, closed her eyes for a moment, and then her phone vibrated.
A colleague’s voice came through unprepared, “Finally, I got through. What’s going on, Callie? You’ve been fired!”
Callie abruptly opened her eyes.
A breeze brushed past her, and she shook her head in disbelief, “What did you say?”
“The personnel changes for the first half of the year have already been released; that’s what it says.”
Callie felt somewhat chaotic, her eyes sweeping over the table, spotting a car key, presumably tossed aside by Nelson. She couldn’t care less now and grabbed the key, rushing to the garage while starting the car. “Explain slowly; I’m heading to the company right now!”
There was suddenly a feeling in her heart that this path felt predestined.
And she knew this overwhelming sensation might last for a long time.
“Not only that, but less than an hour after the stock market opened today, the tide turned suddenly. Now the entire market is in chaos.”
Callie’s hand trembled.
Her fingers hovered over the contact list, hesitating for a brief moment, then a call came in-Jaquan.
“Are you okay?” That was the first thing he said.
Callie shook her head with a bitter smile, “Doesn’t seem like I am.”
Scott Group was also caught in this turmoil, but Jaquan showed no urgency, seemingly relaxed, “Your man is quite something; his methods live up to his reputation.”
Sensing sharply, he knew too.
Callie really couldn’t muster a laugh. Along with the physical pain, there was only fatigue.
Her stomach churned, and she rushed to the washroom to dry heave, tears squeezing out of her eyes.
