Third person’s POV;
At this very moment, the door of Elijah’s room opened and the least expected walked in,
“ROSE!”
Without uttering a word, Rose just walked towards him.
She also had no idea what was wrong with her, like her feet were working independently.
On the other hand, Elijah’s heart was thudding against his chest.
Every single day, he prayed to meet his mate, and now that he has finally found her, the universe has gotten him into another trouble-a big one indeed!
The least he wanted in his life was getting into a cheating scandal and that too in front of Rose. Cherry on top, Rose is the one who caught him!
He was thinking about ways to explain to Rose that he was not the culprit and that nothing was going on between him and Beta’s daughter.
With each slow step Rose was taking towards him, he felt his heart was about to break out of his chest.
She was looking straight into his eyes. At the moment, her celestial face was unreadable.
Elijah pushed Sofia away from him, Sofia almost lost her balance but somehow managed to stand on her feet.
Rose was now standing right in front of Elijah, looking straight into his eyes.
Elijah swallowed hard. Never in his life, had he felt so ashamed and guilty.
He cursed himself for going easy on Sofia, when deep down, he already knew Sofia would do something like this when his mate showed up.
Rose broke eye contact with him and he took a deep sigh of relief.
On the other hand, Rose looked directly towards Sofia with eyes filled with fire.
With the allure and attitude she held, nobody could ever deny that she was supposed to be the future Luna of this pack and the future Queen of werewolves.
The aura around her darkened immensely and Sofia could feel the chill through her spine. She wanted to run away but she was unable to, her feet was not in her control. Her entire body was not in her control. It’s like she was under an influence.
It was Rose, who unintentionally let her aura out and was now scaring the sh*t out of Sofia with just her dominating aura.
Sofia fell to her knees and unknowingly submitted to Rose.
Elijah, who was witnessing the entire scenario, was shocked to his core. A newbie like Rose, who hasn’t even changed was controlling Sofia, a trained fighter, with just her aura.
Elijah could see the horror in Sofia’s eyes. She looked like she could pass out any minute now and Rose’s intense gazes were like millions of daggers digging straight into her flesh.
He decided to help Sofia one last time before, he will think about an appropriate punishment for her.
“Rose….” he said in a low voice but taking her name was making him feel even more ashamed.
Rose turned towards him with unreadable expressions on her face but the aura around her was still the same.
‘Maybe she doesn’t know how to control her own aura. It might be triggered by her anger’ he observed.
“It’s not what you think it is. I can explain….” He tried to speak but the next thing that happened blew his mind.
Without uttering a single word from her mouth, she wrapped her petite hands around Elijah’s shoulder and removed the distance between their lips.
Elijah’s eyes widened in shock. He was expecting a tantrum, even a slap but not this.
He thought she would hate him and accuse him of cheating, she might even try to leave him. He was ready to sit on his knees and beg for her forgiveness.
But rather than crying like a weakling, she kissed him and marked her territory in front of her enemy with pride.
‘Great move, love!’ Elijah thought a smile curved on his lips.
His hands wrapped around her waist like an automatic reaction and he kissed her back within seconds.
It was a soft but meaningful kiss. Their lips were moving at a gentle pace. Their hearts were burning with love and desire. Elijah was over the moon. He had been waiting for this moment since the last time they met.
He felt her body relaxing. She was melting under his touch. He felt his own heartbeat calming down.
One of Elijah’s arms went towards Sofia’s cheek and he moved more towards her to deepen the kiss.
The gentle kiss was about to turn into a passionate one, when suddenly, Rose broke the kiss and gently pushed Elijah’s chest, breaking the kiss in the process.
‘What happened now? I just can’t understand her’ Elijah was taken aback yet again because of her sudden rejection.
Rose turned towards Sofa again who was still sitting on her knees looking down.
“Leave” she uttered while gritting her teeth and Sofia ran for her life.
Within a fraction of a second, it was only Elijah and Rose in the room.
Rose turned towards Elijah and spoke, “Explain”
“Explain? Oh yes…! I wasn’t cheating, love. Trust me…. I never…” Elijah tried to speak but cut him off.
“I know that. I never doubted you. Not even for a microsecond” Sofia waved her hand casually.
“Really?” Elijah asked, his eyes were as wide as the full moon.
She just nodded her head in reply.
“Woah! Great! Then what should I explain?” Elijah scratched the back of his head confusedly.
“Who is she? What was she doing here at this time? Does she come here often? What was your relationship with her before I came into your life?” She bombarded him with questions.
“Chill! That’s too many questions to process under a minute” He chuckled.
“We are just getting started” She replied with a tight smile while folding her hands on her chest.
“She is Sofia Dawn, my dad’s Beta Samuel Dawn’s daughter and Stefan’s sister” Elijah spoke.
Sofia interrupted him yet again, “Stefan? Your friend that I met last time?”
“Yeah,” Elijah nodded.
“Unlike his sister, he seems like a nice guy” She commented and Elijah agreed immediately,
“Yep, he is very nice. Sofia used to be very nice too but I don’t know what happened to her now” Elijah replied in a disappointed tone.
Rose couldn’t care less about Sofia’s whereabouts. The concern in Elijah’s voice was disturbing her. Hence, she narrowed her eyes and asked,
“What was your relationship with her in the past?”
“My relation with her? Nothing! She was just a friend” Elijah replied, he couldn’t believe Rose just asked that.
“How close?” Rose nearly growled.
“Not that close. Just a casual friend!” Elijah replied.
“How casual? Friends with benefits? F*ck buddies?”
