Chapter 530: Deep Affection for Quentin

Seeing Quentin cry tears of joy, Eric felt happy for him and said, “Quentin, it seems your parents are still alive.”
Quentin bowed to Eric Shepard in gratitude, “I must thank the Sorcerer for this.”
Eric nodded and smiled, “No need to be polite. Now, I’ll go help Eileen with her divination.”
He took out his staff and left the room. Quentin sat by the bed, still immersed in the recent vision.
Eric entered Eileen’s room, placed his staff as before, held the divination disk, and asked Eileen, “Eileen, what do you wish to know about the future? You can only ask one thing.”
“Sorcerer, can you look into my future marriage?” Eileen asked calmly. She wanted to know if she would end up with Quentin, even though Quentin already had Charlotte Pittman.
“Of course,” Eric replied. He closed his eyes and chanted an incomprehensible spell.
Moments later, he finished the incantation and opened his eyes. The dim crystal ball flashed with light, revealing an image.
The image showed a beach with a man and a woman sitting on the sand. Their blurry silhouettes leaned against each other, gazing at the blue sea.
The image quickly faded, and the crystal ball returned to its dull state.
Eileen frowned, guessing that the woman was herself but unsure who the man was. Could it be Quentin?
She smiled bitterly and asked, “Sorcerer, what does this vision mean?”
Eric saw her confusion and smiled, “You will meet someone you love. He will be a significant person in your life. You can entrust your future to him, and both of you will achieve great things together.”
“As for who he is, you will know in time. Perhaps you already have an answer in your heart,” Eric explained.
“An answer in my heart…” Eileen murmured.
After finishing the divinations for Quentin and Eileen, they all stepped outside. The people of White Miao Village had been waiting for a long time. Quentin and Eileen prepared to return.
Quentin was joyful, but there was a hint of melancholy in his expression.
On the way back, Rodney, Eric, Henry, and others led the way, followed by the villagers of White Miao Village.
Quentin and Eileen decided to take a different route back to avoid the troubles they faced on their previous path.
Quentin was worried because he hadn’t seen Cerys. Where could she have gone? Did she not even want to see him one last time?
They reached the foot of a mountain. If they passed through the forest and followed the marked route on the map, they would leave Miao Territory. However, the forest could be full of dangers.
But with Quentin and Eileen’s strength, no one worried about their safety. They had easily defeated a pack of wolves; what else could challenge them?
“Quentin, this is our token of appreciation. Please take it. You can use it for medical treatment if you fall ill,” Aimee’s parents handed Quentin a storage bag filled with medicines prepared by Aimee.
“Thank you, uncle and aunt,” Quentin accepted their kindness.
“Take care, Quentin!” Harry hugged Quentin.
“You too, Harry. I hope you win first place in the Big Game,” Quentin smiled.
“I will!” Harry vowed.
“Why didn’t I see your sister today?” Quentin asked, looking slightly downcast.
“My sister left early this morning. I don’t know where she went,” Harry replied, also puzzled. His sister liked Quentin so much; why didn’t she come to see him off?
Quentin sighed and shook his head, feeling a bit lost thinking about her innocent and kind face…
Suddenly, he heard a timid voice calling from a distance, “Quentin!”
He looked towards the voice and saw a delicate Miao girl standing not far away, silently watching him.
“Cerys, where have you been?!” Quentin was surprised.
Cerys walked slowly to his side, tears glistening in her eyes. “Quentin, are you really leaving?”
From their first meeting, this simple Miao Tribe girl had wholeheartedly loved him.
She insisted on accompanying him to Five Poison Mountain, worried and prayed for him during the Big Game, gave him her Jade Belt, and was almost taken by Black Miao Village because of him…
She never complained and always defended him, patiently explaining everything to him. Her deep affection was evident to all.
Quentin sighed deeply and nodded slightly, “Cerys, I’m sorry!”
Cerys’s nose twitched as she softly said, “Quentin, never say that to me.”
“Being with you has made every day so happy for me. Even if you have a wife and children, seeing you happy makes me happy too.”
“Why put yourself through this?” Quentin smiled bitterly. “I’m not worth it!”
“I know whether it’s worth it,” she said as she took out an emerald green ring from her pocket and looked at him affectionately.
“When you gave me this ring, I knew that for the rest of my life, my heart would only hold you.”
“Cerys…” Quentin was silent for a long time before sighing again. “Do you know how hard this will be?”
Cerys nodded firmly. “I know. But I’m willing!”
Quentin looked at her in confusion. “How can you not be afraid of anything?”
Cerys blushed slightly. “For you, Quentin, I’m not afraid of anything! If one day you could come back to Miao Village to see me… just once…”
“Or even if you just remember that there was once a girl named Cerys in your life when you’re free… I’d be very satisfied…” Tears welled up in her eyes but she held them back.
Quentin laughed and nodded. “So I must come back? Your temperament is really hard to understand!”
Cerys smiled joyfully and looked at him silently. “Quentin, I want to ask you something!”
