As Billy had predicted, after his bloodline power increased, re-entering the teleportation channel felt much better. His physical body no longer reacted as severely in a short period.
Of course, after two or three days, he began to feel the pressure again. Scratches started to appear on his body, but they were still within a tolerable range.
By the fifth day, he felt he was reaching his limit, with numerous small cuts on his body. Fortunately, with Purple Spirit’s help, Billy’s physical strength increased by another level.
As Jennifer had estimated, on the seventh day, they emerged from the channel and landed on the ground. Billy had about thirty or forty cuts on his body, but they were all superficial wounds that would heal quickly due to his body’s self-repair ability. Jennifer only had a few shallow scratches, indicating her cultivation was at least in the mid to late stages of the Prime Source Realm.
“Ma’am, is this the Wilderness?” Billy asked while scanning the surroundings. The area was desolate, and the sky was gray. It was similar to the environment at the entrance a few days ago, with oddly shaped rocks, weeds, and variously sized pools of water.
Billy’s spiritual power covered a range of several kilometers but detected no signs of life, not even a single flying beast or animal. He also noticed that the spiritual energy here was very thin, probably less than one-tenth of that in the Silent Ruins Sky Realm.
He finally understood why people from the Wilderness would go to great lengths to reach the sixth-tier star domain; the environment here was indeed harsh. It truly lived up to its name as a place of exile.
“Yes,” Jennifer nodded. “Let’s move forward and see.”
With that, she flew forward. “Ma’am, can you contact Miss Sanaa?” Billy followed closely behind. As he spoke, he took out a sound transmission stone and sent messages to Harleen and the others. Whether they could receive them was another matter.
“I’ve already sent her a message; I’m not sure if she’ll receive it,” Jennifer replied.
“Ma’am, do you know much about the Wilderness?” Billy continued to ask.
“Not much,” Jennifer responded. “What do you want to know?”
“Is there a central city like Radiant City in the Wilderness?” Billy asked.
“Yes,” Jennifer nodded. “In the central region of the Wilderness, there’s a city called Wilderness City. It’s the largest and most bustling place here, about two or three times the size and population of Radiant City.”
“That big?” Billy was slightly surprised.
“Yes,” Jennifer nodded. “Cities in high-tier star domains are not comparable to those in mid-tier and low-tier star domains. You’ll understand better when you visit a seventh-tier star domain.”
“Is it possible that Miss Sanaa and the others are in Wilderness City?” Billy asked.
“It’s possible,” Jennifer replied. “Even if they’re not there, it will be much easier to gather information there.”
“Understood,” Billy nodded.
“However, it’s quite a distance from here to Wilderness City; we need to go through two teleportation channels,” Jennifer continued. “First, we go to Border City, then from Border City to Desert City. Desert City has a teleportation channel to Wilderness City.”
“Desert City?” Billy repeated.
“Yes,” Jennifer nodded. “Desert City is the second-largest city in the Wilderness and is home to Starry Palace’s headquarters.”
“Besides the Nether Clan, what are the top three forces in the Wilderness?” Billy asked.
“You’ve already encountered them: Heavens Sect ranks first, Starry Palace second, and Mysterious Pill Sect third,” Jennifer replied.
“Got it,” Billy shrugged and asked again, “Is it far from here to Border City?”
“Not far, about several hundred thousand miles,” Jennifer said. “Let’s go to Border City first.”
Billy thought: Several hundred thousand miles, not far?
“Ma’am, can you sense any living beings nearby?” Billy caught up and asked.
“No, there’s nothing within a thousand-mile radius; let’s move forward,” Jennifer shook her head.
“Okay,” Billy responded.
The Wilderness truly lived up to its name!
The two flew for nearly ten thousand miles without any change in the environment below-still desolate with only weeds and rocks, not even a single proper tree. There were no signs of life, not even animals; it was like a dead planet.
“Be careful!” After flying for tens of thousands of miles more, Jennifer’s pupils contracted slightly. As she spoke, she clapped her hands forward forcefully.
Almost simultaneously with Jennifer’s shout, Billy saw a blade light slashing towards them from the horizon like lightning, tearing a crack thousands of meters long in the void.
A loud explosion followed as the blade light shattered and the void cracked. Jennifer and Billy were blasted back thousands of meters by the shockwave, their blood churning inside them.
Before they could catch their breath, a second blade light slashed towards them, tearing another crack thousands of meters long in the void.
“Who goes there!” Billy frowned. As he spoke, he flipped his wrist and blocked with his Nether Shield.
Another loud explosion echoed as the blade light shattered and Billy was blasted back thousands of meters. Almost simultaneously, Jennifer launched herself forward like lightning.
“Show yourself!” she shouted sternly, shaking her cane to send out a wave of energy.
“Hmm?” A surprised voice came from the clouds as a wave of energy surged forth.
A thunderous explosion spread across the sky; at the center of the blast, the void collapsed into a massive black hole. Simultaneously, a figure was blasted back thousands of meters-a gray-robed elderly man who stabilized himself before spitting out blood.
Realizing he was outmatched, the old man didn’t hesitate and quickly fled backward.
“You think you can escape?” Jennifer said coldly as she waved her hand, creating a barrier wall several kilometers away.
The gray-robed elderly man frowned and quickly thrust a spear towards the barrier wall. However, his strength was clearly below Jennifer’s; his spear shattered upon impact with the barrier which remained unscathed.
“Hmm?” The old man was slightly stunned.
In his moment of hesitation, a blade light flashed before him. His pupils contracted as he tried to dodge but was too slow. The blade light severed an arm, sending it flying into the air with blood spraying everywhere.
At the same time, Jennifer’s palm strike hit him squarely in the chest, causing him to spit out blood and fall headfirst to the ground.
Soon after, Billy and Jennifer landed and walked towards him.
“You dare!” At that moment, an angry shout rang out as forty or fifty figures rushed towards them from ahead.
“Kill!” Jennifer said sternly before quickly dashing forward. Billy hesitated briefly before following her closely.
Among their opponents were two second-rank Prime Source Realm cultivators who were no match for Jennifer and Billy. Within minutes, all their foes lay on the ground either dead or severely injured.
“What are you people?” Billy asked as he walked up to the gray-robed elderly man who had attacked them first.
