“Mr. Billy, be careful!” The Scholar shouted.
“No problem!” Billy responded.
The blade light was unstoppable, and the souls had no chance to resist. Any shadow touched by the blade light vanished instantly. Within a few breaths, hundreds of shadows exploded. However, these shadows seemed endless, one wave disappearing only for another to appear, each wave larger than the last.
“I want to see how many vengeful spirits you have gathered!” Billy didn’t stop, his blade light raging, tearing countless cracks in the void.
Soon, Annalise’s eyes narrowed, and she disappeared from her spot, reappearing on the opposite side of the canyon. “Show yourself!” she commanded, her sword flashing towards a large tree ahead.
The massive trunk exploded, and a figure shot out a thousand meters away, leaving a trail of blood in the air. Annalise didn’t stop and rushed forward again, her sword light flashing. The opponent, knowing he couldn’t win, fled to the right.
The sword light flashed past his right knee, and a small leg fell from the air. The man screamed and fell. Annalise quickly approached him, flicking several strands of finger wind into his body.
At the same time Annalise moved, Tommy also acted, targeting a large rock a thousand meters away. A palm wind shattered the rock into dust, and an old man shot out five or six hundred meters.
Before the old man could recover, Tommy’s second attack reached him. The old man spat out blood and flew away again. After crashing to the ground, he spat out a large mouthful of blood, completely losing his combat power.
With the two taken down, the phantom figures in the air disappeared in an instant, and peace returned to the surroundings. Soon after, Billy and his group landed at the bottom of the canyon. Annalise and Tommy threw the two manipulators to the ground.
“You really have a death wish coming here. Do you really think…” one man looked at Billy and started to speak.
“Enough!” Billy interrupted him.
“You want my Nine Dragons Cauldron and Skystone? Take me into your Inferno. If you have the strength to kill me, they’re yours!”
“Foolish…” the man continued.
Before he could finish, Billy swept his palm across, turning the man into a mist of blood.
“You deserve to die!” the old man shouted angrily after a moment of shock.
“Will you take us in willingly or suffer first?” Billy asked.
“Just kill me already. If you want me to lead the way…” the old man responded.
He stopped mid-sentence and took out a sound transmission stone. After listening to the message, he looked at Billy: “If you want to die in Inferno, I’ll take you there!”
Clearly, the message was from someone inside Inferno. After speaking, he struggled to his feet and walked ahead. Billy and his group followed closely.
After about fifteen minutes, they arrived at a large rock. Like the entrance to Netherworld City, the old man formed a mysterious seal with his hand and sent it out. A stone door slowly opened beneath the rock.
Entering the stone door, they walked through a stone tunnel and entered a vast space. Before them was a small city with hundreds of ancient-style buildings and empty streets. The light was dim, with a faint mist filling the air and an eerie atmosphere pervading the space.
Inferno lived up to its name!
Billy released his spiritual power to cover the entire city but found no signs of life.
At that moment, the man walking ahead disappeared like a magic trick. “Can your blades cut those wandering souls?” Billy asked Tommy and the others.
“Yes!” Tommy replied.
“Mr. Billy, this place is not simple. Be careful!” The Scholar warned.
“Got it!” Billy nodded.
The four of them walked down the widest street ahead. They hadn’t gone far when a hoarse male voice echoed through the void: “You ignored heaven’s path and barged into hell’s gate. Brave!”
They could hear him but not see him!
“You want my treasures? I’ve come to you willingly, yet you hide like cowards?” Billy retorted.
“Don’t worry, we’ll meet soon enough!” the man replied. “That is if you can live until then!”
“Can you sense his presence?” Billy asked Tommy and the others.
“No!” they shook their heads simultaneously.
As soon as they finished speaking, countless phantom figures appeared from all directions, densely packed and overwhelming in number-at least tens of thousands. Each one was menacing and terrifying.
The man’s voice echoed again.
Then, those ghosts rushed towards them quickly.
“Attack!” Annalise commanded, charging forward with her sword. Billy and the others didn’t hesitate and attacked in different directions.
In an instant, blades and swords filled the void, shattering phantoms one after another. Tommy and the others’ weapons could indeed cut these ghosts. With their Supreme Ancestry Realm cultivation, even a casual strike could make nearly a hundred phantoms disappear.
The ghosts couldn’t get close to them; their numbers posed no threat at all.
As the phantoms were about to be wiped out, an extremely eerie aura swept through the air, accompanied by howling winds. A hundred-meter-tall phantom figure appeared in the sky, holding a pitch-black scythe. With its appearance, the pressure in the void increased several levels, chilling everyone to the bone.
“Playing tricks!” Annalise slashed through hundreds of other ghosts before raising her sword against it.
The giant’s scythe clashed with Annalise’s sword light with a loud bang, sending her flying seven or eight hundred meters back with her blood boiling inside her.
“Hmm?” Tommy and The Scholar exclaimed in surprise.
“Annalise, are you okay?” Billy shouted.
“I’m fine!” Annalise replied loudly before attacking again with full strength this time, her sword thrusting forward like a spear.
The giant swung its scythe again, tearing open a crack hundreds of meters long in the void. After another loud clash, both sides were pushed back several hundred meters. Annalise was slightly weaker and spat out blood after retreating a thousand meters.
The giant didn’t stop and took several steps forward before swinging its scythe at Annalise again.
“Annalise, watch out!”
As Billy’s voice rang out, he used his Nether Wings to flash over quickly and unleashed his Phantom Blade Technique. His blade light tore through the giant’s black scythe light and flashed past its body.
Afterward, the massive figure exploded into nothingness along with all other ghosts around them.
“Mr. Billy, your combat power?” Tommy and The Scholar exclaimed in unison upon seeing Billy defeat the giant with one strike.
The giant had at least third-rank Supreme Ancestry Realm strength but couldn’t withstand one strike from Billy!
Billy’s growth over just a few days was terrifying!
