“Answer a few questions for me!” Billy said after a brief moment of thought.
It was clear that he had changed his mind. Although he wasn’t afraid of the Netherworld Clan’s killing array, as it posed a threat but wasn’t enough to make him retreat. However, from a personal interest standpoint, destroying the Netherworld Palace might not be the best option.
“Mr. Billy, please go ahead!” Sovereign felt a glimmer of hope upon hearing Billy’s words.
“A thousand years ago, where did the people inside come from? Was it the seventh-tier star domain?” Billy asked.
“Strictly speaking, they aren’t truly from the seventh-tier star domain,” Sovereign replied.
“Then where are they from?” Billy pressed on. “Don’t tell me they crossed over from other parallel universes?”
“Mr. Billy, you must be joking!” Sovereign responded. “So far, there’s no concrete evidence of parallel universes.”
“Get to the point!” Billy demanded.
“They are from The Wilderness!” Sovereign answered.
“The Wilderness? What kind of place is that?” Billy was puzzled.
“The Wilderness is the exile zone of the seventh-tier star domain,” Sovereign continued. “The people there fall into two categories: those who committed serious crimes and were expelled from the seventh-tier star domain, and those who fled to The Wilderness to escape their enemies.”
“Such a place exists?” Billy was surprised. “Were the criminals expelled by the Domain Lord’s Mansion?”
“No,” Sovereign shook his head. “The high-tier star domains haven’t had a Domain Lord’s Mansion for a long time.”
“Then who expelled them?” Billy asked.
“The Heaven Alliance,” Sovereign replied.
“Heaven Alliance?” Billy was taken aback. “What’s that?”
“The full name is Heaven Protecting Alliance; they are the enforcers of the high-tier star domains,” Sovereign explained.
“An organization like that exists?” Billy’s eyes narrowed slightly. It reminded him of the Guardian Alliance; from the name, the two organizations seemed similar but maintained different areas.
“Can people from The Wilderness freely enter and exit the mid-tier star domain?” Billy continued to ask.
“In theory, no,” Sovereign said. “The Wilderness is part of the high-tier star domain, and there’s a cosmic barrier between high-tier and mid-tier star domains that no one can cross.”
“Of course, some extraordinary individuals might tear through that barrier, but such powerful beings generally disdain coming to mid-tier star domains.”
“Then how did those people come here a thousand years ago?” Billy asked.
“There are always exceptions,” Sovereign replied. “The environment in The Wilderness is extremely harsh with very little spiritual energy. Most people there spend their lives trying to escape.”
“But they know they can’t fight against the Heaven Alliance. If they return to the seventh-tier star domain and are discovered by the Heaven Alliance, they face certain death. So, they set their sights on the mid-tier star domain.”
“The Wilderness gathers many talented individuals who spend their lives researching how to cross the barrier. Over time, some find a way.”
“A thousand years ago, was the person who sealed this world from the Heaven Alliance?” Billy asked.
“That is unclear; no one knows his identity,” Sovereign shook his head.
“Is there really an entrance to the high-tier star domain here?” Billy asked.
“Strictly speaking, it’s not a proper entrance; it’s a passage created by people from The Wilderness a thousand years ago,” Sovereign replied. “And that passage leads to The Wilderness. In other words, even if you pass through it, you must first go through The Wilderness to reach the seventh-tier star domain.”
“Where exactly is this entrance?”
“We don’t know; you can ask Miss Sanaa. She should know,” Sovereign shook his head.
“He came down from The Wilderness back then, didn’t he? Doesn’t he know where the entrance is?” Billy pointed at Vicente Cunningham and asked.
“Mr. Billy, you may not know this, but when that master sealed this world, he sealed off an area of tens of thousands of kilometers around the entrance, leaving only a Teleportation Array,” Sovereign replied. “And very few people in this world know where that Teleportation Array is. Of course, Miss Sanaa definitely knows.”
“Who exactly is Miss Sanaa?” Billy asked.
“We don’t know,” Sovereign shook his head again. “Like that master from a thousand years ago, her identity is very mysterious; no one knows who she is.”
“Besides Netherworld Palace and Inferno, what other forces are there in this world?” Billy frowned slightly. It seemed he would have to ask Sanaa to find the entrance. This made him even more curious about the identity of the woman in green.
“Skylight City,” Sovereign replied. “They are also rulers of this world. A thousand years ago, they led the sixth-tier star domain catastrophe with the goal of controlling the mid-tier star domain.”
“You know where Inferno and Skylight City are located, right?” Billy asked again.
“I do,” Sovereign said and then informed Billy of the locations of both forces.
Afterward, Billy briefly asked about the usage methods of Nether Shield and Nether Flame Spear before taking his leave.
Before leaving, Vicente Cunningham committed suicide in front of him. This was Billy’s bottom line; Vicente Cunningham had to die.
Half an hour later, Billy appeared outside Netherworld City. After leaving the city, he flew to a deep forest and let Harleen and others out of Nine Dragons Cauldron Space. He then spent fifteen minutes briefly explaining Netherworld Palace and The Wilderness to everyone.
Over the next two days, Harleen and Opal faced Thunder Tribulation one after another. The energy contained in those high-level beast cores was enough for them to break through smoothly.
After two days, Opal broke through to third-rank Holy Ancestry Realm, Harleen and Amber reached second-rank Holy Ancestry Realm, and Ivy also entered Holy Ancestry Realm. Casey and Stout were stuck at half-step Holy Ancestry Realm, just one step away from breaking through. Vermilion Bird and White Tiger also broke through to Entering Ancestry Realm and reached second-rank Entering Ancestry Realm.
On the morning of the third day, except for Tommy and two others, everyone else returned to Nine Dragons Cauldron Space to consolidate their cultivation. Billy then headed towards Inferno’s base with Tommy and two others.
A few hours later, they descended above a canyon where Inferno’s lair was supposed to be according to Sovereign.
Billy released his spiritual power to scan an area of several kilometers but found nothing unusual.
“Mr. Billy, Inferno’s entrance likely has an array; without someone to guide us, it will be hard to find,” The Scholar said.
“Then let’s get someone to guide us!” Billy nodded.
He then narrowed his eyes slightly and sent out dozens of violent palm strikes into the canyon below. With his current strength, ordinary rocks were like tofu blocks; wherever his palm strikes landed, rocks exploded instantly, shaking the entire canyon.
Soon, several ghostly figures floated out from the canyon and charged towards Billy and his group with menacing gestures.
“You three handle those controlling them!” Billy said as he drew his blade and advanced.
