“Sorry, I’m not very knowledgeable. I only know that this blade is no ordinary item, but I don’t know its exact origin,” the white-robed man responded.
“Elder White, are you confident?” the Sovereign asked the white-robed man.
“I can give it a try,” the white-robed man nodded.
“Good!” The Sovereign then looked at Billy. “Mr. Billy, Elder White will need some time to modify your blade. How about letting Toby show you around?”
“No need,” Billy replied. “I’ll stay in the room.”
“Alright,” the Sovereign didn’t insist.
For the next two or three days, Billy stayed in the room meditating and cultivating, taking the opportunity to consolidate his skills.
During this period, he entered the Nine Dragons Cauldron Space to check on everyone. Most had already refined their beast cores.
Including Tommy and the others, everyone’s skills had improved to varying degrees.
Tommy and his group had advanced to the second-rank Supreme Ancestry Realm, while Azure Dragon, Azure Fang, Bob, and Ian Blade had reached the fifth-rank Entering Ancestry Realm.
As for the others, they were all stuck at a stage where they needed to overcome a tribulation, so their progress was limited.
Billy briefly recounted the past two days’ events to everyone and advised them to stay in the Nine Dragons Cauldron Space for now.
Three days passed quickly. That morning, as Billy finished his meditation, the Sovereign and the white-robed man entered.
“Mr. Billy, thank you for waiting,” the Sovereign handed the blade to Billy. “Your blade has been successfully modified.”
“You didn’t test it yourselves?” Billy took the blade with a faint smile.
As he spoke, he examined the blade. On the surface, it looked unchanged.
However, as soon as he held it, he felt a slight resonance in his bloodline, as if there was a subtle connection.
“Mr. Billy, you’re joking. Miss Sanaa specifically mentioned that this blade can only unleash its full power in your hands. It would be of little use to us,” the white-robed man replied, feeling helpless.
After successfully modifying the blade, he had immediately tested it with the ancestor. The result was frustrating.
In his hands, the blade was only slightly sharper than an ordinary one, able to leave a mark on Millennium Black Iron but far from cutting through it.
“Is that so?” Billy smiled and said, “Let’s go. Take me to see your ancestor.”
“Please follow me,” the Sovereign said as he led Billy and the white-robed man out.
About half an hour later, they arrived at a cave in the back mountain of Netherworld City. Billy could feel a strong pressure emanating from within.
Entering the cave, they walked for a while before reaching a medium-sized space.
Contrary to expectations, the space was well-lit and furnished like a living room.
An old man with white hair sat meditating on a mat. His actual age was indiscernible.
Billy noticed that the old man’s hands and feet were bound by thick iron chains, long enough for him to move freely within the space.
Billy tried to gauge his cultivation but found no discernible aura.
“Greetings, Ancestor,” the Sovereign bowed.
“You’re here?” Vicente Cunningham opened his eyes, his pupils flashing coldly.
“And you must be Mr. Billy?” Vicente Cunningham looked at Billy, scanning him with spiritual power. “To have reached the early Holy Ancestry Realm at such a young age is impressive.”
“These small chains can’t be cut?” Billy ignored his words and looked at the chains.
“Mr. Billy, don’t underestimate these chains. They are forged from Millennium Black Iron; ordinary blades can’t cut through them,” the white-robed man explained.
“Let me try,” Billy said as he stored his Bloodshadow Fury Blade and took out a three-foot-long blade from Blade and Sword Sect.
He struck one of the chains with full strength.
A crisp sound echoed as the blade broke in two, leaving Billy’s arm numb.
“Interesting,” Billy’s eyes narrowed slightly.
The hardness of Millennium Black Iron far exceeded his expectations!
If it were ordinary iron chains, even three-tenths of his strength would cut through them like tofu!
But now, he couldn’t even leave a scratch-unbelievable!
“Mr. Billy, why not try your own blade?” suggested the white-robed man.
“Alright,” Billy replied as he took out Bloodshadow Fury Blade again.
With full strength, he struck once more.
A loud noise echoed as Billy was pushed back two steps, his arm numb again.
The chain only had a scratch on it.
“Hmm?” Everyone was stunned.
“Still not enough?” The white-robed man murmured.
“Forget it; don’t waste your energy. This Millennium Black Iron isn’t easy to cut through,” Vicente Cunningham said calmly.
“Miss Sanaa shouldn’t be wrong!” The Sovereign frowned slightly and looked at Billy. “Mr. Billy, according to Miss Sanaa, this blade can only unleash its full power in your hands. Is there something you’re missing?”
“I’ll try again,” Billy nodded slightly.
He then activated his bloodline power!
Miraculously, as he did so, the blade in his hand trembled slightly, surrounded by a faint red glow-something that had never happened before!
Billy’s eyes narrowed as he struck again with full strength.
A crisp sound echoed as the chain was cut in two, with a smooth break like a mirror.
“It’s done?!” The white-robed man exclaimed loudly.
Vicente Cunningham and the Sovereign were equally shocked.
“Miss Sanaa was right!” The Sovereign said excitedly and pointed at the remaining chains. “Mr. Billy, please!”
“Alright,” Billy nodded.
He then cut through the remaining chains with ease.
“Hahaha…” Vicente Cunningham laughed joyfully as he regained his freedom.
Suddenly, a violent aura burst from him, pushing Billy and the others back several meters.
The remaining half-chains on his limbs exploded into iron fragments scattered on the ground.
“Hmm?” Billy’s eyes narrowed slightly at this sight.
He turned to the white-robed man beside him. “He could handle these chains himself; why did you need me?”
“Mr. Billy, you may not know that those chains are not only made of Millennium Black Iron but also reinforced with a small array,” explained the white-robed man.
“By cutting through them just now, you also broke the array, allowing our ancestor to succeed.”
“I see,” Billy nodded slightly.
Then he looked at the Sovereign. “Is there anything else? If not, I’ll take my leave.”
“Wait!” Vicente Cunningham spoke up.
“What else?” Billy asked.
“Do you have Nine Dragons Cauldron and Skystone?” Vicente Cunningham inquired.
“Do you want them?” Billy asked calmly.
