In the next moment, a wave of energy burst from him, flattening everything within a few hundred meters.
Purple Spirit and White Feather, who were standing guard nearby, were caught off guard and thrown seven or eight hundred meters away, their breaths chaotic.
Billy slowly opened his eyes.
“Billy, you’re awake?” Purple Spirit and White Feather approached after catching their breath, both sighing in relief.
“Yes,” Billy nodded after adjusting to the light.
“Billy, you’ve broken through to the third-rank Holy Ancestry Realm?” Purple Spirit asked, eyes brightening.
“Yes,” Billy smiled.
He had indeed advanced three levels, reaching the third-rank Holy Ancestry Realm. This significant leap was due to refining those green talismans in the Nine Dragons Cauldron Space and the recent strengthening of his bloodline power, which greatly aided his cultivation.
“Have all the ghosts been dealt with?” Billy continued to ask.
“They were dealt with long ago. Your blade is incredible; those ghosts had no chance against it!” Purple Spirit responded. “I wanted to find the person controlling them, but I was worried about you, so I let them go.”
“How long was I unconscious?” Billy asked.
“Exactly one day,” Purple Spirit replied.
“A whole day?” Billy was surprised. He checked the Nine Dragons Cauldron Space and saw everyone still meditating, so he didn’t disturb them.
“Billy, where do we go next?” Purple Spirit asked.
“You and White Feather return to the Nine Dragons Cauldron Space. I’ll take a look around town,” Billy responded.
“Alright,” Purple Spirit said before she and White Feather entered the Nine Dragons Cauldron.
Billy meditated for a moment before flying down the mountain.
Half an hour later, Billy appeared in the town.
“Young man, please wait!” A voice called from behind him after he had walked a short distance.
Billy turned to see an old man with two attendants approaching quickly.
“What is it?” Billy asked.
“Young man, allow me to introduce myself. I am Toby Cunningham from Netherworld Palace,” the old man said.
“Netherworld Palace?” Billy said indifferently. “Are you here for revenge?”
“You misunderstand,” Toby Cunningham replied. “I’m here to apologize on behalf of Netherworld Palace. What happened before was our fault. Please forgive us.”
“An apology?” Billy’s eyes narrowed slightly. He was unsure of their intentions.
“Indeed,” Toby Cunningham said, raising his hand. A storage ring floated in front of Billy. “To express our apology, please accept this storage ring.”
“What’s your real purpose?” Billy examined the contents of the storage ring briefly and thought Stout would like it.
“Young man, don’t misunderstand. We genuinely wish to make peace…” Toby Cunningham continued.
“Not willing to say? Then goodbye!” Billy interrupted and turned to leave, heading towards the courtyard of the woman in green.
“Scoundrel, you…” One of Toby Cunningham’s men frowned.
“Silence!” Toby Cunningham interrupted sternly.
“Lord Toby, I think we should just take his blade and test it ourselves,” the man continued. “If it can cut Millennium Black Iron, we don’t need him.”
“It’s better to be cautious,” another man said. “Since Miss Sanaa mentioned it, she must have her reasons.”
“Let’s follow him first,” Toby Cunningham said as he started walking forward.
While they talked, Billy had already reached the courtyard gate of the woman in green. The gate was locked from the outside. After calling out a few times with no response, he guessed she was out.
“Billy, be careful. I sense many strange energies nearby,” Purple Spirit’s voice sounded in Billy’s mind.
“Are you sure?” Billy was puzzled because he hadn’t detected anything unusual with his spiritual power.
“They’re likely similar to those ghosts from yesterday,” Purple Spirit said again.
“Understood,” Billy’s eyes narrowed. “Can you locate the person controlling them?”
“Not yet. Their presence is faint and elusive,” Purple Spirit replied. “Try walking straight ahead for a while.”
“Alright,” Billy responded and flew forward.
“Billy, stop!” After flying for several kilometers, Purple Spirit spoke again. “The person should be in that valley below!”
“Got it!” Billy replied and descended.
As soon as he landed, countless ghostly figures appeared around him, at least a thousand strong. They wasted no time and charged at Billy with clawing hands.
Billy’s eyes narrowed as he wielded his blade, sending out sharp arcs of light that disintegrated any ghostly figure they touched. These spirits were only mid-level Entering Ancestry Realm at best and were no match for Billy. In a few moments, most had vanished.
“Billy, the controller is behind that large rock ahead! Hurry, he’s trying to escape!” Purple Spirit’s voice urged again.
Before Purple Spirit finished speaking, Billy’s eyes sharpened as he unleashed a Heavenly Fury Slash that tore through the air towards the rock.
The massive rock shattered into pieces, sending debris flying everywhere. A figure darted out hundreds of meters away.
“Hmm?” The figure steadied himself and exclaimed in surprise, not expecting Billy to detect his presence. Without hesitation, he fled to the side.
“You think you can escape?” Billy’s voice echoed as he quickly pursued him. He had initially sought out the woman in green to ask about Inferno’s lair. Now that he had encountered someone from there, he wouldn’t let him escape.
Billy’s intention wasn’t for Inferno’s Flower but purely for revenge. The ambush during his tribulation had nearly cost him his life if not for Bloodshadow Fury Blade’s ability to cut through spirits. Since they had tried to kill him, he wouldn’t show mercy either.
In a few blinks of an eye, Billy closed the distance to a few hundred meters and slashed at his opponent. The man sensed danger behind him and knew he couldn’t dodge it. He quickly turned and threw out a seal.
After a loud explosion, the man was sent flying backward. With only seventh-rank Holy Ancestry Realm cultivation, he couldn’t withstand even a single strike from Billy without using any trump cards.
As the man struggled to get up and flee again, a blade light flashed past his shoulder, severing an arm. Billy approached him calmly.
“Want to live?” Billy asked as he walked closer. “Tell me where Inferno’s lair is, and I’ll spare your life.”
