“What’s the matter?” The voice of the woman in the green dress rang out.
“Toby Cunningham from Netherworld Palace, greetings Miss Sanaa!” The elder bowed. “I have a few questions for you, Miss Sanaa. May I ask them?”
“You want to know the origins of those people from before?” the woman in the green dress asked in return.
“Exactly!” Toby Cunningham responded. “Do you know, Miss Sanaa?”
“I do,” she replied. “But even if I told you, you wouldn’t understand. So there’s no point.”
“Miss Sanaa…” Toby Cunningham was slightly taken aback.
“Go back and tell your Sovereign that if he doesn’t want Netherworld Palace to be annihilated, he should stop coveting the Nine Dragons Cauldron and Skystone. Those items are beyond your reach,” she continued.
“But they killed many of our people!” Toby Cunningham said.
“That was your own doing,” she replied. “If your people hadn’t provoked them, they wouldn’t have acted.”
“But…” Toby Cunningham frowned slightly.
“I’ve said enough. If you insist on going your own way, then good luck,” she interrupted him.
“There’s one more thing I’d like to ask,” Toby Cunningham said again. “From what I understand, the strongest among them is only at the first-rank Supreme Ancestry Realm. How did they manage to kill Owen?”
“They have the Heavenly Xuan Array Compass,” she responded.
“Heavenly Xuan Array Compass?” Toby Cunningham frowned again. “No wonder!”
“Are you thinking of coveting the Heavenly Xuan Array Compass now?” she asked indifferently. “I can also tell you that even without the Heavenly Xuan Array Compass, killing Owen Cunningham wouldn’t be too difficult for them.”
“Are you referring to the Nine Dragons Cauldron?” Toby Cunningham was stunned. “But I heard that the boy shouldn’t be able to wield the Nine Dragons Cauldron to defend himself yet…”
“Killing Owen doesn’t require the Nine Dragons Cauldron,” she added. “Also, here’s a piece of advice: if you want to save your Netherworld Palace’s ancestor, you’d better make friends with him.”
“What do you mean?” Toby Cunningham was puzzled. “I’m not very bright. Could you please explain, Miss Sanaa?”
“If his blade is modified, it can cut through Millennium Black Iron,” she replied.
“What?!” Toby Cunningham’s pupils contracted. “Is that true?”
“Believe it or not,” she said indifferently.
“But as far as I know, no blade or sword can cut through Millennium Black Iron…” Toby Cunningham steadied his emotions and spoke again.
“His blade is not an ordinary blade,” she said while watering flowers. “Of course, it won’t work without modification.”
“How should it be modified?” Toby Cunningham asked.
“Go back and ask your Sovereign; he should know,” she responded indifferently again.
“And one more thing: don’t think about stealing his blade. Even if you could steal it, it would be useless because only in his hands can it exert its maximum power.”
“Miss Sanaa…” Toby Cunningham was stunned again.
“That’s all I have to say. Take care of yourselves,” she waved her hand and continued watering her flowers.
“Thank you, Miss Sanaa!” Toby Cunningham bowed again and then turned to leave.
“Sis, can Billy really kill Owen Cunningham without using the Heavenly Xuan Array Compass?” Rose walked out of the house.
“Why do you ask so many questions!” the woman in the green dress replied. “Stay at home and don’t run around for a while!”
“Why?” Rose asked.
“Why do you have so many whys!” She glared at Rose.
After speaking, she muttered to herself, “It’s almost time; this world won’t be peaceful for much longer…”
Deep in the forest, Billy was refining a beast core.
The energy contained in such a high-level beast core was immense. Even though Billy’s physique was special and ordinary beast cores were barely useful to him, this beast core was clearly not ordinary.
Having already glimpsed the dawn of the Holy Ancestry Realm, it took Billy four or five hours to refine the beast core completely, and unsurprisingly, it attracted Thunder Tribulation.
The sky was filled with dark clouds, strong winds howled, lightning flashed, and thunder roared, signaling an impending storm.
Soon, the first bolt of lightning tore through the void and struck straight at Billy, turning several towering trees around him into charcoal.
Although the lightning was strong, with Billy’s current strength, enduring the first three bolts wasn’t too difficult.
Of course, he wasn’t unscathed; his aura was chaotic, and there were traces of blood at the corners of his mouth.
Just as Billy hadn’t had time to catch his breath, the fourth bolt of lightning descended with a much greater force than the previous three. Billy didn’t retreat; he gritted his teeth and faced it head-on with his wild blade.
With a loud bang, Billy spat out a mouthful of blood and plummeted to the ground, creating a large crater where he lay motionless.
“Billy, are you okay?” Purple Spirit shouted. White Feather couldn’t speak but let out a few anxious cries.
“I’m fine!” After a while, Billy’s voice came from the pit as he slowly stood up.
“There’s one more bolt left. Can you handle it?” Purple Spirit asked again.
“I can try!” Billy responded.
As he spoke, he activated his bloodline power, and his aura surged instantly.
Boom!
The fifth bolt of lightning arrived as expected, tearing a crack thousands of meters long in the void. Dark matter seeped out from it, making the entire space extremely eerie.
Almost simultaneously with the fifth bolt of lightning, nearly a hundred shadowy figures floated around and charged at Billy.
White Feather let out a cry and rushed forward, spewing out violent gusts of wind.
However, such a strong attack had no effect on those shadowy figures; the gusts passed right through them as if hitting air.
On the other side, Purple Spirit encountered a similar situation; her attacks were equally ineffective against those shadowy figures.
“Purple Spirit, use my blade!” Billy shouted from mid-air and threw out his Bloodshadow Fury Blade.
He knew what those shadowy figures were-clearly manipulated by someone from Inferno.
Although facing Thunder Tribulation without his wild blade would make him more vulnerable, he understood that if he didn’t deal with these ghostly figures first, his situation would be even worse after enduring the final bolt of Thunder Tribulation.
At that point, he’d be powerless and at their mercy.
“Got it!” Purple Spirit shouted as she caught the wild blade and swung it in an arc.
With a swoosh… dozens of shadowy figures instantly dissipated where the blade light passed.
Meanwhile, the fifth bolt of Thunder Tribulation struck Billy directly with a loud bang. He crashed into the ground again, creating another large crater where he lay unconscious after spitting out a mouthful of blood.
After an unknown amount of time, Billy vaguely felt a Divine Dragon moving through his body before finally settling in his dantian.
Then, a vast aura exploded in his dantian and quickly surged through his meridians.
