“Hmm?!”
Felicia and her companions were startled, their scalps tingling, as a sudden voice emerged from nowhere. They turned simultaneously to see an old woman with a hunched back, leaning on a cane.
Her exact age was indiscernible, but her loose skin suggested she had lived for many years.
Tommy and the others immediately tried to sense her cultivation level, but unsurprisingly, they couldn’t detect any aura fluctuations from her.
“Where did you come from, old lady?” Stout asked after a brief pause.
“You haven’t answered my question yet. Did you come from outside?” the old woman continued.
“You already guessed it, so why ask?” Stout replied, clicking his tongue.
The old woman muttered, “I just find it strange. In recent years, more people have come in than in the past few thousand years. What’s happening outside?”
“Old lady, do you mean that people from outside have entered here before?” Judge asked.
“Of course!” the old woman responded.
“Were there many?” Judge continued after a moment of surprise.
Billy and the others were also taken aback.
“A lot!” the old woman nodded. “Just the ones I know of are three or four!”
Everyone: Three or four people, is that a lot?
“Do you know who they were?” Judge asked again.
“After all these years, besides the person who sealed this world, I don’t know anyone else,” the old woman replied.
Hearing this, everyone’s jaws dropped.
Based on what they knew, this world had been sealed for many years-at least ten thousand years. Yet this old woman claimed to know the person who sealed it!
Did that mean she was over ten thousand years old?!
“Old lady, can I ask how old you are?” Soul Chaser inquired.
“I don’t remember!” the old woman shook her head. “After being here for so long, you forget time!”
“Alright then,” Soul Chaser muttered under his breath.
“Old lady, besides us, when was the last time you saw someone come in?” Harleen asked.
“I can’t recall exactly. It might have been yesterday or a few years ago,” the old woman shook her head again. “I only remember that recently there were two men-one older and one younger.”
“Hmm?” Billy and his companions’ eyes lit up at her words.
They all thought of a possibility simultaneously!
“Old lady, was the older man white-haired and bearded, possibly wearing a white robe and holding a whisk, looking very impressive?” Stout asked.
He was referring to the old master!
Casey and the others: Stout, aren’t you afraid of getting beaten up by the old master for describing him like that?
Smack!
Before he finished speaking, Ivy slapped him.
“Ivy, why did you hit me again?” Stout rubbed the back of his head.
“Shut up!” Ivy glared at him before turning to the old woman. “Old lady, do you remember such a person?”
“Have I seen someone like that?” the old woman mumbled. “I think I have, but maybe I haven’t. I don’t quite remember…”
Seeing her expression, Billy and his companions were almost certain that the two people she mentioned were indeed the old master and Billy’s father.
The last time they heard about the old master and Billy’s father was in the third-tier star domain. After entering this mid-tier star domain, they hadn’t found any traces of them until now.
Undoubtedly, the two must have gone to the high-tier star domain!
“Old lady, we’ve heard there’s someone named Sanaa here. Could that be you?” Azure Dragon asked.
Not only did he have this thought, but everyone else also had the same suspicion.
“You give me too much credit; I don’t have her abilities!” the old woman shook her head.
“Do you know where we can find her?” Azure Dragon continued.
“Do you need something from her?” the old woman asked back.
“We have some questions for her,” Azure Dragon nodded.
“She’s not easy to talk to. You’ll likely be disappointed,” the old woman replied.
“No problem. Just tell us where to find her,” Azure Dragon insisted.
“Follow this path straight ahead. If all goes well, you’ll reach a small town in about ten days. She’s there,” the old woman said.
“She’s not in this town?” White Tiger asked in surprise. “Is it really that far? Ten days’ walk?”
“The distance isn’t that great; it depends on your luck,” the old woman explained again.
“You mean there will be trouble along the way?” White Tiger understood her implication.
“People here don’t welcome outsiders,” the old woman said before turning to Billy. “Moreover, this young man has something valuable on him that anyone would want.”
“You know my boss has the Nine Dragons Cauldron and Skystone?” Stout asked bluntly.
Everyone: Stout, do you have to be so honest? She might just be guessing! Besides, she could only sense the Nine Dragons Cauldron!
The Skystone was in Billy’s storage ring, which no one could scan without his permission!
“Stout, can you shut up?” Felicia glared at him angrily.
“I misspoke earlier!” Stout seemed to realize his mistake and quickly added, “My boss only has the Nine Dragons Cauldron, not the Skystone!”
“You’re cute!” the old woman smiled faintly. “No need to explain; without the Skystone, you couldn’t have gotten in here!”
“Alright then,” Stout clicked his tongue before asking again, “So are you planning to rob us?”
“I’m too old for such ambitions,” the old woman shook her head before looking at Tommy and his companions. “Besides, I don’t want to fight them.”
With that, she waved her hand at them. “Alright then, I won’t keep you any longer. It’s been ages since I’ve seen anyone alive, so I got a bit chatty.”
“I have things to do. You should get going too. Good luck!”
With those words, she hobbled away with her cane.
“Who was she? She seemed so strange! Why did she appear out of nowhere?” Felicia asked after the old woman disappeared from their sight.
“The Scholar, can you determine her cultivation level?” Casey asked The Scholar.
“I can’t,” The Scholar shook his head.
“Let’s go and stay alert,” Billy said as he led them forward again.
As the old woman had warned, their journey ahead would not be smooth.
After walking several kilometers, a terrifying pressure swept over them from the right side.
