If Nicholas were not still alive, these two heartless women would have long been fighting over the inheritance.
Jenna shook off Clara and Naima’s hands, walked to the side, and couldn’t be bothered to deal with these pretentious women.
This scene made Leo shake his head and smile bitterly. In such so-called great families, everyone harbored their own agendas. Growing up in such an environment, one couldn’t tell if it was fortunate or unfortunate.
In the Bloomer family, the two people Xavier disliked the most were Clara and Naima. He snorted coldly and ignored them completely.
“Xavier, I heard you had a car accident a few days ago. Did you lose any limbs?” Clara’s son approached arrogantly and asked.
Xavier loathed his cousin from the bottom of his heart and cursed, “None of your business, Jasper Hale. Are you itching for a beating?”
“My body is indeed itching. Why don’t you scratch it for me?” Jasper laughed and hid behind the adults.
Naima’s two children also made faces at Xavier, laughing, “Stinky Fart King, we’re itching too!”
A few years ago, Xavier had digestive issues and often passed gas, so Jasper nicknamed him Stinky Fart King.
Xavier hated hearing the term “Stinky Fart King” and immediately flew into a rage, ready to teach these three brats a lesson.
Leo reached out and stopped him, saying, “Xavier, let it go. This is a hospital. Don’t stoop to the level of children.”
“Brother, these brats will cause trouble if not disciplined. I must teach them a lesson!” Xavier was furious.
“Xavier, who are you calling brother? Didn’t your brother drown long ago?” Jasper jumped out again.
“Fuck, what nonsense are you spouting? Watch me beat you to death!” Xavier rushed over, trying to grab Jasper.
Jasper dodged behind the adults while taunting, “Stinky Fart King, catch me if you can!”
Leo smiled helplessly. Dealing with such brats was truly a headache.
Jasper dodged Xavier while inching closer to Leo. When he got close enough, he aimed a kick at Leo’s butt.
However, to Leo, Jasper’s kick was as slow as a movie’s slow-motion scene. He easily dodged it.
“Kid, didn’t your mother teach you not to kick people?” Leo said coldly, feeling annoyed.
Unexpectedly, Jasper shouted loudly, “My mom said that live-in sons-in-law are scum among men and should be kicked whenever encountered!”
Leo hadn’t heard such words in a long time. His right hand instinctively clenched into a fist, and a fierce aura pressed down on Jasper.
Sensing something, Jasper’s face tightened. He made a face at Leo before running away.
Leo looked at Clara and said coldly, “Jasper is your son, right? You’re a very negligent mother!”
“Hah! How I educate my son is none of your business. A freeloader like you has no right to point fingers at me!” Clara crossed her arms with a look of disdain.
“If you don’t know how to discipline him, I don’t mind helping you!” Leo really wanted to slap Clara across the face.
These words infuriated Clara. She adopted a shrewish stance and shouted at Leo, “What do you mean? Are you saying you’d hit a child? Go ahead and try it if you dare!”
Clara relied on being a woman and the presence of so many people, confident that Leo wouldn’t dare touch her or her son.
At this moment, with his mother backing him up, Jasper ran towards Leo again, seemingly wanting to complete the kick he missed earlier.
Leo waved his right hand, and Jasper suddenly fell to the ground with a thud. His forehead hit the floor, and he started crying loudly.
This scene startled Clara. She quickly turned around to pick Jasper up from the ground and anxiously asked while touching his forehead, “Sweetie, are you okay?”
With his forehead hurting badly, Jasper cried even louder.
Xavier laughed gleefully, “Serves him right!”
“You dare hit my son!?” Clara’s husband Jeb Hale immediately stood in front of Leo menacingly.
Leo sneered, “I just waved my hand. Which eye of yours saw me hit your son?”
“Bullshit! If you hadn’t scared my son by waving your hand, he wouldn’t have fallen!” Jeb said and threw a punch at Leo’s face.
In front of Leo, Jeb seemed no different from a weakling despite his burly appearance. Leo casually grabbed Jeb’s wrist with one hand.
With a slight exertion of force from Leo’s hand, Jeb gasped in pain and shouted through gritted teeth, “It hurts! Let go of me!”
“Freeloader! Let go of my husband!” Seeing her husband’s muscles were useless, Clara cursed him as a waste in her heart and then pointed at Leo while shouting.
Seeing that Leo still didn’t let go of her husband, Clara had no choice but to seek help from Jason and Jacob: “Jason, Jacob, are you just going to stand by and watch an outsider bully your family?”
Jason and Jacob exchanged glances. Jason then said to Leo with a stern face, “Leo, this is not where you belong. Our Bloomer family does not welcome you. Please leave!”
Leo released Jeb’s wrist and smiled innocently as he said, “Sorry, I can’t stand trash. Whenever I see trash, I feel compelled to clean it up.”
“Fuck! Freeloader! Who are you calling trash!?” Clara put her hands on her hips, ready for an argument.
Leo looked at Clara and sneered coldly: “I’m not calling you trash because you’re worse than trash.”
Hearing this, the officers watching nearby couldn’t help but smile.
The officers had clearly heard Clara and her sister’s seemingly concerned words about Jackson but were actually wishing for Jackson’s quick death. Therefore, they had no goodwill towards Clara and her sister.
Leo’s mockery drove Clara mad. She screamed hysterically: “You freeloader! I’ll tear your filthy mouth apart!”
Clara let go of Jasper and charged at Leo like a madwoman with claws outstretched.
Just as Leo was about to kick this madwoman away, a deep voice roared: “You bastard! Stop right there!”
Hearing this deep roar, Clara’s body trembled and she froze in place.
Clara turned around to see an old man walking over with the help of a maid and leaning on a cane.
Following behind the old man were several doctors in white coats.
