“Demons! These are demons!”
“Run! Let’s hurry and escape!”
“If we don’t leave now, we’ll all die here!”
…
Witnessing Shura’s terrifying method of killing, the remaining people fled in panic.
“Trying to escape? Everyone must die!”
With a roar, Shura charged out like a bolt of lightning.
“Ah!”
“Ah!”
“Ah!”
Screams echoed continuously as more and more people fell to Shura’s hands.
Seeing this, Julian Vance’s face twisted into a sinister expression.
“Shura, you’re going to die!”
Julian Vance pulled out a firearm from his coat and aimed it at Shura.
Bang!
A gunshot rang out, and a bullet flew towards Julian Vance.
Shura snorted coldly and quickly dodged.
Although Shura was in a state of madness, his mind was clear, and he evaded instantly.
Julian Vance’s gunfire only fueled Shura’s rage further.
By now, Shura’s eyes were blood-red, and his entire being was soaked in blood, appearing like a demon crawled out from hell.
Seeing Shura in this state, Julian Vance’s face turned pale with fear.
“Die! Die! Die! Just die!”
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Julian Vance roared furiously as a barrage of bullets flew towards Shura.
Whoosh!
Suddenly, Shura vanished from the spot.
By the time Shura reappeared, he was already in front of Julian Vance.
Shura grabbed Julian Vance’s wrist.
With a crack, Julian Vance’s wrist was twisted and broken.
“Ah!”
Julian Vance screamed in agony as the firearm fell to the ground.
At the same time, Shura grasped Julian Vance’s neck.
With a face full of fear, Julian Vance pleaded, “Boss Shura, please spare me! Remember how I’ve served you loyally over the years… please let me live…”
“Those who betray me never end well!”
Crack!
A crisp sound was heard as Julian Vance’s neck was twisted and broken by Shura.
The next moment, Shura twisted off Julian Vance’s head.
Julian Vance’s head rolled on the ground, his face frozen in terror.
The villa was permeated with the pungent smell of blood, and everyone inside had been killed by Shura.
Not even the dozens of hunting dogs in the villa were spared, truly leaving no creature alive!
Hope cowered in a corner, trembling all over.
She was terrified when suddenly a figure approached.
Hope looked up and saw the middle-aged man.
Shura, now in a change of clothes but still with a ferocious expression, stood before her.
Seeing Shura, Hope’s body shook uncontrollably.
“Hehe!”
Shura grinned and said, “Don’t be afraid! Rest assured, I won’t kill you!”
With that, Shura stepped forward and took Hope’s hand.
Hope wanted to scream, but she knew it was futile no matter how loudly she cried.
Meanwhile, on the road to the suburbs, a dark green Hummer was speeding along.
Inside sat Chris Shelby with a cold expression and Esther, who looked visibly distressed.
Just then, Chris Shelby had received a message.
It was about his daughter, who was in a villa in the East Coast suburbs.
Without hesitation, Chris Shelby led a large group of people and rushed over.
“Darling, you must save Hope!” Esther’s eyes were red with tears.
Chris Shelby comforted her, stroking her hair, “Dear, don’t worry, I will definitely save Hope!”
Ring-ring! Suddenly, Chris Shelby’s phone rang. He picked it up to find Phoenix on the line. “Boss, I’ve found the identity of the kidnapper who took Hope.” Overjoyed, Chris Shelby responded, “Really?” Phoenix, with a grave expression, replied, “According to the clues I’ve gathered, the kidnapper is Shura!”
“Shura?” Chris Shelby’s face immediately turned icy. He was all too familiar with the name Shura.
Three years ago, on the border battlefields, Chris Shelby had crushed the million-strong army of Quartz Ridge, securing his legendary status. Around that time, he had received a mission from Master William. In the eastern region, there was a secret organization known as the Shura Club, led by none other than Shura himself.
Shura was the underground overlord of the eastern territories, commanding over a hundred thousand underlings. He harbored grand ambitions to establish his own nation, a notion the Amerosia government could never allow.
Thus, Master William had dispatched Chris Shelby to lead a large force to capture Shura. Chris Shelby had not disappointed, successfully dismantling the Shura Club and capturing Shura, who was then imprisoned in the Obsidian Citadel.
Unexpectedly, Shura had escaped from the Obsidian Citadel and now appeared on the East Coast, having kidnapped his own daughter in what was clearly an act of revenge.
Phoenix spoke solemnly, “Boss, you’ve met your match this time!” Hearing this, Chris Shelby frowned. Beside him, Esther curiously asked, “Dear, is this Shura difficult to deal with?” Chris Shelby chuckled lightly, “Dear, don’t worry! Hope is safe now, Shura won’t harm her.” He knew well that Shura’s target was him, not Hope.
Phoenix continued, “Boss, I’ve uncovered something. Shura’s once most trusted general, Julian Vance, after the fall of the Shura Club, moved to the East Coast and has been living incognito. It was Julian Vance who reported that Hope was in his villa.” Julian Vance? Chris Shelby did remember him. It was Vance who had reported Shura’s malicious intentions to Amerosia, which ultimately led to the downfall of the Shura Club and why Chris Shelby had spared Vance.
After Shura’s capture, Vance had resettled on the East Coast, living under an alias. Now with Shura’s arrival on the East Coast, it was very likely he had gone to Vance’s place. With this thought, Chris Shelby immediately rushed over with his team.
Upon arrival at Julian Vance’s villa, everyone’s expression changed drastically. The entire villa was filled with a pungent smell of blood. The floor was soaked red with blood, and the ground was covered with bodies-there were a thousand corpses! Moreover, these people had died horrifically. Several had their limbs torn off and heads twisted off. Even someone as seasoned as Chris Shelby changed his expression at such a brutal sight.
Phoenix stepped forward and said, “Boss, Julian Vance was once Shura’s most trusted subordinate and had done quite well in East Coast. These people were all cultivators above the Grandmaster realm, and to think that Shura killed them all by himself, and so gruesomely!”
“It’s clear,” Phoenix concluded, “that Shura knew about Julian Vance’s betrayal. Plus, his strength must have significantly increased during his three years in the Obsidian Citadel, or else he wouldn’t have been able to kill so many Grandmaster-level cultivators single-handedly!”
