“I…” Julian Vance opened his mouth wide, at a loss for words. Suddenly, a commotion erupted outside. Julian’s face lit up with joy. In moments, figures stormed in. There were thousands of them, each armed with machetes and other weapons, exuding a formidable aura. They quickly surrounded Shura.
Shura glanced at Julian Vance and asked coldly, “What is the meaning of this?”
“Ha ha ha!” Julian laughed heartily. “Boss Shura, although I don’t know how you escaped from the Obsidian Citadel, since you’ve come here, I advise you to stay!”
“Stay here?” Shura scoffed coldly. “With just you? With these nobodies?”
Unexpectedly, Julian’s face twisted into a ferocious snarl as he yelled hysterically, “Shura, you shouldn’t have come here! I was living a peaceful life. Why did you come to disturb me? You kidnapped Chris Shelby’s daughter and brought her here. Do you know if Chris Shelby finds out, he will never spare me!”
“I will capture you and hand you over to Chris Shelby. By then, I will have made a great contribution! Chris Shelby is now the king of the East Coast. With this great deed, I can call the shots here.”
As he spoke, Julian’s eyes filled with wild ambition. Since Chris Shelby had come to the East Coast, Julian had been like a rat. He hated this life. He wanted to dominate the entire East Coast underworld like James Mester and Bull, living a life of influence.
Now that Shura had come to him, and brought Hope along, all he needed to do was capture Shura and rescue Hope. With such a merit, Chris Shelby would surely forgive his past wrongs and might even reuse him. By then, he would have a foothold on the East Coast!
Shura mocked, “Julian Vance, you want to capture me and then seek favor with Chris Shelby? Look at yourself, do you even qualify?”
“Ha ha ha!” Julian sneered, “Shura, I know you’re powerful, but this time I’ve prepared thousands of Grandmasters and above. I’ve also notified Chris Shelby. He’ll be here soon!”
“Once Chris Shelby arrives, even if you had wings, you couldn’t escape! And let me tell you something, you’ve always been curious why your plan leaked years ago? Why Amerosia sent Chris Shelby to capture you?”
“Let me tell you the truth. It was I who leaked your plan to the Amerosia government, bringing Chris Shelby here to thwart the plan you painstakingly devised for over a decade!”
Hearing this, Shura’s face contorted with rage. He clenched his fists, his breathing became rapid. “It was you! You’re the traitor who destroyed my decade-long efforts! You ruined my entire plan!” Shura’s eyes blazed as he stared at Julian Vance. “Why would you do this? If my plan had succeeded, you would have been a founding general. Wouldn’t we have shared the glory and riches?”
“Stop dreaming!” Julian cursed angrily. “Shura, oh Shura, you are too arrogant. With your little strength, you dreamt of founding a nation? It’s pure folly! I couldn’t watch our brothers die with you, so I reported you!”
At this moment, Julian Vance had completely let go, revealing all the thoughts he had kept hidden in his heart for many years. He knew the entire villa was filled with his own people; how could Shura, no matter how strong, escape from his grasp? These brothers, all brought from the East Coast by Shura back in the day, were fiercely loyal to him and had their hands stained with blood. Once Shura was captured, with these brothers’ help, a position as an East Coast boss was guaranteed for him!
“Ha ha ha ha…” Shura suddenly burst into laughter while looking at Julian Vance. His laughter was wildly maniacal. His trusted subordinates, whom he had believed in for many years, were the ones who had betrayed him. Shura had always been puzzled about the past. His plans were flawless; how could they have been leaked? It turned out Julian Vance was the culprit! The subordinate he thought was most loyal! It was he who had betrayed him! It was he who had sent him into the Obsidian Citadel, where he lived in utter darkness!
In an instant, a murderous aura emanated from Shura. His eyes turned blood-red, and he resembled a prehistoric beast! At that moment, all Shura wanted was to kill! Only by killing could he vent the anger in his heart! Feeling the terrifying murderous intent emanating from Shura, Julian Vance’s face instantly turned pale.
Julian Vance shouted, “What are you waiting for? Go on, kill him! Kill him!”
“Kill!”
“Kill!”
“Kill!”
At his command, over a thousand sword-wielding practitioners charged towards Shura. Seeing this, a smug look appeared on Julian Vance’s face. He had always been a dog under Shura’s feet. Now, he could finally trample Shura under his own. Julian Vance also wanted Shura to experience what it was like to be someone else’s dog.
“Think you can kill me? You’re not worthy!” With a roar, Shura charged forward.
“Ah!”
“Ah!”
“Ah!”
Screams echoed continuously as Shura, with his bare hands, tore the practitioners apart. Blood stained his clothes red; at this moment, he had completely turned into a madman. Shura’s methods were extremely brutal; everyone he killed was either dismembered or mutilated. After about fifteen minutes, out of the thousand practitioners, fewer than a hundred remained. The villa’s hall was littered with human remains, and blood dyed the floor red. Seeing Shura, who now resembled a demon, the remaining few dared not approach him.
Seeing this, Julian Vance’s face turned deathly pale. He had not anticipated that Shura’s strength had become so formidable. Three years ago, although Shura was powerful, he wasn’t this monstrous. The thousand Grandmaster practitioners he had prepared should have been more than enough to crush Shura! But now, Shura’s strength had far exceeded his expectations. Julian Vance didn’t realize that during these three years, Shura had endured a non-human existence inside the Obsidian Citadel.
He had never given up the thought of escaping the Obsidian Citadel to find Chris Shelby. And to seek revenge on Chris Shelby, he needed formidable strength. Therefore, Shura had never ceased to train himself in the Obsidian Citadel. Julian Vance still thought he was dealing with the old Shura, not realizing that Shura had now become a devil.
With a roar, Shura’s mouth emitted a beast-like howl. He reached out his hand, swiftly grabbing a man by the neck.
“Crack!”
His head was twisted off, and blood spurted out like a fountain!
