Chapter 1361: Hope is Missing

After reviewing Shura’s file, Seraphina’s expression turned grim. It was clear that Shura was an extremely dangerous individual. How he had managed to escape from the Obsidian Citadel remained a mystery. Capturing Shura would prove difficult given her capabilities, especially since his actions were unpredictable and perilous. According to the escape route, Shura had travelled from the Middleton Obsidian Citadel all the way to the East Coast. Logically, as a native of the eastern regions, he would likely flee there, but the East Coast, located on the southeastern shoreline of Amerosia, did not border the eastern regions. Evidently, Shura had a specific purpose in heading to the East Coast.
The reason was almost obvious-Chris Shelby. Chris Shelby had captured Shura three years ago. Shura was undoubtedly seeking revenge. With this realization, Seraphina asked, “How many people have come with you this time?”
A woman replied, “Captain, we dispatched thirty people in total. Shura killed ten, another ten are tracking him, and the remaining ten are on standby.”
Seraphina responded, “Prepare yourselves. Find Shura for me; I’ll handle this personally. Be careful, he’s very powerful.”
The woman nodded and said, “Understood, Captain.”
Meanwhile, in a luxurious booth at a bar in East Coast City, Lysander Frost and Dylan Piper were drinking and singing, surrounded by scantily clad women. Since the last time Chris Shelby had broken their legs, they had recovered after several days of careful treatment. However, the incident left them too frightened to seek revenge against Shelby. Yet, they harbored a deep-seated hatred and awaited an opportunity for retaliation.
Dylan Piper turned to Lysander and said, “Cousin, I’ve received some news.”
“What news?” Lysander asked curiously.
Dylan’s expression was grave as he replied, “Phoenix Thorne has arrived!”
“Phoenix Thorne?” Lysander’s face changed at the mention. Being the scion of the Frost family, he was well aware of what Phoenix Thorne represented-a secretive agency under the direct control of the Amerosian royal palace, rarely seen unless something significant occurred.
“Why would Phoenix Thorne come here?” Lysander queried.
Dylan explained, “According to the information I got, an SSS-level criminal has escaped from the Obsidian Citadel and is now on the East Coast. This criminal, known as Shura, is the reason Phoenix Thorne is here-to capture him!”
“A fugitive from the Obsidian Citadel?” Lysander frowned, well aware of the Citadel’s reputation for housing only the most powerful criminals.
His eyes flickered with determination as he said through gritted teeth, “Find this Shura for me. As soon as you do, bring him to me.”
“Cousin, you mean…” Dylan looked shocked.
Lysander smirked viciously, “Exactly! I know about this Shura. Three years ago, he was the dominant force in the eastern regions, immensely powerful.”
Three years ago, Chris Shelby acted on the orders of the current Master William and went to the eastern region to capture Shura, incarcerating him in the Obsidian Citadel. Now, Shura had escaped from the Obsidian Citadel and made his way to the East Coast, undoubtedly seeking revenge on Chris Shelby.
“As long as we find Shura, we can collaborate with him to take down Chris Shelby! That Chris Shelby dared to break my leg; I won’t rest until I’ve settled this score,” one of them said.
Dylan Piper nodded, “Cousin, rest assured, I will do everything in my power to find Shura.”
“Heh,” Lysander Frost sneered, muttering to himself, “Chris Shelby, oh Chris Shelby, you dared to offend me! I won’t consider myself a man until I have killed you.”
At that time, Chris Shelby was unaware that a highly dangerous individual was seeking him.
Even if Chris Shelby had known, he wouldn’t have cared.
Although Shura was formidable, he had been Chris Shelby’s defeated subordinate in the past.
As the distinguished Amerosia Primus, Chris Shelby wouldn’t bother with a former underling.
And as for someone like Lysander Frost, a bumbling scion of a prominent family, Chris Shelby disregarded him even more. If not for the sake of the Frost family, Chris Shelby could crush Lysander Frost with a flick of his finger!
Meanwhile, Chris Shelby was deep in thought.
He felt that Seraphina was no ordinary woman. Although she was beautiful and well-proportioned, to Chris Shelby, except for Esther, all other women were merely beauties of bones.
From the moment Seraphina arrived to when she left, Chris Shelby always felt that her visit was not for simple reasons.
Suddenly, Chris Shelby’s cell phone rang.
He picked it up and saw it was a call from Esther. “Darling, what’s the matter?”
“Dear, Hope is missing…”
“What?” Chris Shelby was shocked.
“Darling, what exactly happened? Where are you now? I’m coming right over!” he asked urgently.
On the other end of the call, Esther sobbed, “Dear, I’m at the Little Sun Kindergarten.”
“Okay! Wait for me, I’m on my way!”
Chris Shelby then immediately drove to the Little Sun Kindergarten.
On the way, he called Bull, “Bull, notify all members of East Coast Securities immediately. We need to find my daughter Hope across the whole city!”
“Yes!”
After hearing about his daughter Hope’s disappearance, Bull didn’t dare to take it lightly and immediately alerted all members of East Coast Securities to search the city thoroughly.
A few minutes later, Chris Shelby arrived at the kindergarten.
After parking, he saw Esther crouching at the entrance of the kindergarten, crying.
Beside Esther was a guilt-ridden Phoenix.
Chris Shelby approached, his face stern, “Phoenix, what exactly happened?”
Phoenix, looking guilty, replied, “Boss, I’m sorry. The few Death Guards I assigned to protect Hope were killed, and Hope was abducted.”
Hearing this, Chris Shelby’s expression became grave.
The Death Guards had always been responsible for Hope’s safety.
Now that the Death Guards assigned for Hope’s safety were dead, the situation was serious.
Every Death Guard was a king among soldiers, with formidable strength, possessing abilities beyond a Chief Master.
The fact that someone had killed these Death Guards meant that the person who abducted Hope was no ordinary individual.
