Ashley looked around. Apparently, she was the only one who still in the kitchen. Ashley saw Jean and Siska smiled sadly at her, behind Sirius’s back. They were surrounded by Sirius’s man and their presence frightened her friends. Even though Sirius is the most cruel and cold-hearted here, his man are no less scary. They all look fierce and hideous.
Ashley took a deep breath, she refused to meet the handsome man’s eyes who was staring at her intently at the kitchen entrance. Ashley turned and went back to chopping the scallions, ignoring him. The man clenched his fists and jaw. He hated it the most when Ashley ignored him. It feels bad and hurts. It would be better if he got injured than his baby mad at him like this.
“Princess, let’s go home.” Sirius took a few steps forward and grabbed Ashley’s arm, trying to pull her gently, persuade the girl who was furious. “No. Don’t bother me.” Ashley replied coldly. She also brushed Sirius’s hand off her elbow. She still remembered how Jill flaunted the ring and said Sirius had proposed to her.
“Tsk, don’t be like this, baby. We’ll talk about this at home, okay? Sirius coaxed again, his deep voice sound softer. Now he was holding Ashley’s hand again and his grip was firmer, trying to pull the girl into his arms. Ashley was annoyed with quickly turned and glared at Sirius. She wanted to argue with him here but she quickly remembered her frightened friends.
Since Ashley didn’t want to create drama in this place and harm others, she pushed Sirius as hard as she could and left. Sirius who saw his girl’s behavior just gave up and followed her steps. After all, his sweet little girl could never get away from him.
Ashley ignored the gazes of Jean and Siska, as well as some of Sirius’s men who stood frozen inside and outside the door. She ran out and walked fast towards the elevator, then quickly pressed the button to descend to the ground floor. Sirius was walking towards her, now looking at her angrily. “Ashley!” Sirius called out to her but the elevator doors were already closed.
Sirius chuckled at the sight of Ashley running off like a cute bunny. How far did she think she could go? Sirius thought. When she reach the ground floor, Ashley ran out of to the road and tried to get away as far as possible. There were black cars that she recognized as Sirius’s car parked at every side of the road. There were even some bodyguards who immediately recognized her and tried to stop her.
“I’ll scream if you try to come near me!” She snapped while panting. Of course they did not dare to approach their boss’ girl.
She was so tired. Since last night, Ashley left the mansion by foot and she was drenched in the rain too. Now her body just felt pain. Her legs felt like they wanted to leave her body. But she still run a little, trying to avoid Sirius.
At this time, her heart and brain did not run in sync. She missed him so much. She hadn’t heard his voice in a long time, hugged his muscular body, smelled the masculine scent that had always been her favourite. She was worried about the him. Why hasn’t he call her all this time? Was he really hurt? Ashley frowned, she slowed down and almost turned back again. She wanted to see him and ask him how he was. She missed that handsome face so much.
When Ashley’s feet started to slow down and stop. She remembered her conversation with that woman again. Her anger started to rise and she began to step forward. But something was holding Ashley down and she couldn’t move.
“Baby, that’s enough. You’re tired, let’s go home. Okay?” Sirius’ deep, gentle voice, kept Ashley from taking another step. Sirius’ scent, which was her favorite, hit her nose and calm her down. Ashley’s body weakened in the big man’s warm embrace. He hugged Ashley from behind and kissed her head repeatedly.
“Come on, princess. Let’s go home.” Sirius said softly. He felt Ashley was no longer fighting back, Sirius immediately carried the frail body bridal style. Ashley just gave up. But she still wouldn’t look at Sirius. She was still upset and stuck to her stance. If she looked into Sirius’s eyes any moment now, she afraid that she would break down and accept whatever treatment Sirius gave her. She didn’t want to be underestimated by this man. Ashley felt she could stand on her own without him
Ashley’s thoughts became increasingly erratic due to her bad mood and exhaustion. When Sirius put her in the car, she immediately shifted further towards the opposite car door and sat facing the dark car window.
Sirius snorted in annoyance at the sight of his girl who didn’t want to sit close to him. Ashley was really mad. When he got in and sat in the car, Sirius pulled Ashley roughly causing the girl to bounce towards him and shriek. “Ouch!” Sirius didn’t care and made Ashley sit crossed on his lap.
Sirius cupped her face. He frowned feeling her high temperature. “Baby, you have a fever.” He said worried. “Why do you care.” Ashley worked up her courage to answer and looked Sirius in the eye. “Oh, this girl of mine has the courage to talk like that?” Sirius’s voice turned cold. Ashley swallowed down her own saliva. She was scared and lowered her gaze immediately.
“Sleep, or I’ll eat you right now.” Sirius’s cold, flat voice made Ashley unable to move. Sirius was upset and She didn’t want to lure the monster from hell to go out. Sirius hugged Ashley tightly as if he didn’t want to lose her again. He kissed the top of her head and made Ashley lean on his chest. It didn’t take long for her, who was exhausted, to sleep in Sirius’s arms.

Arriving at the mansion, Sirius was still holding his sleeping girl. He walked slowly, so as not to wake his baby. He also ordered Ben to prepare food and called their family doctor because Ashley’s temperature was getting higher.
Ashley woke up but her eyes were still closed. She didn’t feel the car moving anymore, but she heard the faint sound of a woman pleading and crying. “Please Master… I’m sorry.” Her sobs stopped followed by Sirius’s deep, threatening voice. “I will cut your body parts one by one while you are still conscious, if your voice disturbs my baby.” He said and after that was silence.
Ashley felt her head hurt. Her ears rang as if someone had hit a drum right next to her ear. She hugged this big warm thing even tighter. Then She realized that she was in a warm embrace, but for some reason she still felt really cold. When Ashley opened her eyes, she found out that she was still on Sirius’s lap like a koala hugging a tree trunk. She was also covered with a thick blanket, so that only the top of her head could be seen. Ashley hugged her man tighter and buried her face in Sirius’ chest.
Sirius felt her movement, hugging the girl tighter. He gently stroked her back. “Baby, we have something to talk about.” Sirius said, he knew the girl was awake. “Hm…” Ashley simply answered. Her head still hurts. But she also wanted this problem to be resolved as soon as possible. Recalling what Jill had said, Ashley’s brow furrowed and she lifted her head to look at Sirius’ handsome face.
“What did she tell you, baby?” Sirius spoke without looking down at Ashley. His voice was extremely cold and amplified the dark aura. Ashley swallowed her saliva, her tongue going stiff. She knew who Sirius was referring to without turning her head back to see who the crying woman’s voice was.
“She said, Bubba didn’t want me to know that Bubba was hurt.” Ashley replied. “Then, she also said that Bubba actually didn’t truly loves me. I was too spoiled and became a burden to you. That’s why Bubba avoided me…” Ashley continued. Sirius’ jaw tightened at his girl’s explanation. “What’s more, baby?” he asked again.
“Bubba doesn’t love me. Bubba isn’t the type to commit. You will just use me like any other woman….” Ashley explained everything she heard from Jill. Meanwhile, Jill just lowered her head trembling. She could feel Sirius staring at her like a spear ready to stab her at any moment.
“What surprised me the most was. The ring Bubba gave her.” Sirius’s eyebrows rose a little. He was stunned. What ring?
“Bubba, is it true that you proposed her? Even you also use a ring with my design. You know I drew it as my dream wedding ring in the future. You put it to someone else! Bad Bubba!” Ashley cried again, her voice hoarse. She hit Sirius in the chest firmly with her small fist.
Sirius didn’t move but he frowned. Not because Ashley hit him. But because of the information Ashley gave about the ring. “Sshh… Calm down, baby.” Sirius comforted Ashley. One hand stroked the back of his girl, the other stopped both of her hands that pounding on Sirius’ chest. He’s not in pain. The hit felt like a massage to him. He was only worried about this fragile girl.
“Baby, don’t move too much. Calm down.” Sirius managed to calm Ashley down. He kissed her on the forehead and looked back at Jill with a piercing gaze. “You. Tell me what I actually ordered you to do.”
