Felix’s p. o. v
I walked out of the portal with Ian and found everyone waiting for us.
Looking ahead, I could see the huge vampire castle where the elders resided and a lot of houses surrounding it where most vampires stayed.
Going past them all without being noticed was going to be impossible.
“What’s the plan?” Ian asked seriously.
“Yeah I too was about to ask. Because there is no way we are going to walk past all those houses unnoticed.” Uncle said.
“Well that’s why you have me.” Lee answered proudly.
“Can your spells really help?” I asked in concern.
“Just so you know Felix, I left my family behind so I could become stronger. I know all sorts of magic, be it pure or dark.” He answered then raised his left hand moving it to his right side in a wave motion while muttering a few words in an unknown language.
We all stood watching him carefully.
Once he was done, he dropped his hand and smirked.
“Let’s go. The spell will make us all invisible in their sight. Only when we walk into your parents’ place will we be back to being visible.” He said then began walking ahead.
I looked at Ian who shrugged and quickly followed him.
“Felix, remember that we trust him. He can never put us in harm’s way no matter what.” Uncle whispered softly.
I smiled at him then quickly rushed to where Ian was.
“Be prepared.” I said seriously when I looked at him.
“Me, I was born prepared. Also there is no way I’m going to die. Not until I see and hold my pup.” He answered.
As we approached the houses, we could see a lot of vampires laughing and chatting outside.
Some were feasting on humans, while others were making out.
I knew it was normal for my kind to have fun as much as they wanted. But I found most of their acts disgusting.
Only a few vampires loved and committed themselves to their partners. Most vampires believed in non- commitment relationships. They fucked each other or whoever they wanted without a care. They shared each other’s partners and treated humans as food. Despite being so damn rich, they had nowhere to take their money, they couldn’t even think of helping anyone besides themselves.
I too would have been like them if not for my parents’ actions. It’s all thanks to their constant bad treatment of wanting to use me that made me leave the coven.
After years of traveling I met a few vampires and got close to one. Sadly that same friend I made later died crossing Ian’s territory.
I then settled in human territory, where I began making plans and working very hard to achieve all I needed. In a few years I managed to build a lot of day care schools, orphanages, clinics and bars. By the time I met my now family, I was already settled and very well to do.
I lived the way I wanted and more like a human than a vampire. The only thing I had in common with other vampires was how we fed. We all needed blood to survive, be it human blood or animal.
As we walked past all those vampires they all paid no attention to us.
The castle still looked like it did back then, old. The dry thorns around the walls and the greyish colour even made it look worse.
“Which way?” Lee asked when we entered the castle.
I looked at the stairs that led to six separate wings.
“My parents were in the first wing back then. Right now I’m not so sure.” I answered honestly then walked up the stairs and went to the first wing without a second thought.
When I reached the first door, I touched the door knob and quickly took in a deep breath. When I released it, I opened the door and walked in.
The living room was exactly as I remembered and left it. Everything looked very fancy and all things were in place.
Ian and the rest all walked in and stood besides me.
“Is this the place?” He asked softly.
“Yes.” I answered then moved to look around.
“Your parents place gives off a rich vibe.” One of the twins whispered softly when he went to look at the liquor counter on our left.
“They are more than rich. They are filthy rich, more than you could ever imagine.” I whispered then stopped in front of a huge painting of them.
In that painting, my mother stood behind my father who sat on a golden chair that looked like a throne.
Anyone looking at it wouldn’t think much about it, besides that they both looked serious. But I could tell that the painting was trash, because my mother was the one who was supposed to be sitting and my father standing.
After all those years she was still manipulating him. It was sad and very pathetic.
“So these are you parents?” Ian asked when he stood behind me.
“More like their painting.” I answered honestly.
“They really do look like your elder siblings and that’s impressive.” He whispered Softly.
When we heard light footsteps approaching, we all turned and looked at the door to see who would walk in.
The door opened and my mother was the first one to walk in. When my eyes met hers I was expecting her to be shocked, suprised or to panic. But no, she calmly looked at everyone then removed her gloves and ear pin, letting her hair shiny bangs fall to her shoulders.
For someone who had lived a lot of years she still looked very young and beautiful.
“Samantha, why did you bring your dog pets into our home?” She asked calmly.
Ian growled loudly and wanted to move, but I quickly pressed my hand on his shoulder to stop him.
I got that he was an alpha wolf, but my mother was also strong, she was part of the elders because of all those years she’s lived.
“They are not my pets, Golden. They are all part of my family.” I answered seriously, calling her by her first name to get a rise out of her.
If she was to attack me first, it would make it easy for me to take her down.
“How cute.” She answered lazily.
When my father walked in, he instantly tensed up.
“Samantha.” He called softly.
“Yes dear, your dear daughter has decided to grace us with her presence today. By the way Sammy, you look old and pathetic. Are you still dressing up as a man?.” She asked calmly, annoying me.
“Can you for once say nice words from your mouth, Golden?” I spat as she smirked.
“Never to the likes of you.” She answered.
I folded my hands in fists and swallowed hard. I was getting angry with her and thoughts of my past were beginning to play in my mind. It was always like that. Her mocking me while my father stood by her fucking damn side!.
“Samantha have you come back to your senses?” My father asked with a smile.
“No Jordan. I am not here to mend our broken relationship. I am here with my family to mourn both of your deaths.” I answered honestly as their expressions turned cold.
I wasn’t going to beat around the bush anymore like I did in the past. I was going to speak openly and confidently however I wanted.
