Ian’s p. o. v
After having lunch with Amelia, I went to my office and sat down to think through everything.
My hands were tied when it came to the Alpha king and she looked so worried about everything.
I had said those words to calm her down and I did mean it when I said I would die for her because I was ready to lay down my life. What I feared was the fact that the bastard who was coming after her was of royal blood, which meant he had a lot of experience, skills, and an army.
If Aurora would easily overpower my whole pack by just standing her ground as an alpha queen, then the bastard was a way stronger threat to my people. He would wipe us out completely.
That alone made me anxious. I needed to find a way to defeat the bastard or kill him.
“How about seeking advice from Felix and her family?” Axel asked seriously.
“What!” I exclaimed.
“You heard me. Seek advice from her.” He answered in nearly a loud growl.
“You don’t mean advice, you mean help, don’t you?” I asked.
“I don’t care which you choose. Either way, we need her help.” He answered, pissing me off.
“Are you crazy? That bitch may act as if we are on good terms when in truth she wants us dead.” I spat while I stood up
“Ian calm down and just think about it, Felix had all the time to strike us down or let us die, yet she couldn’t. Why do you think she didn’t?” He asked.
I kept quiet for a second and thought deeply.
“Because Aurora was there.” I answered softly then sat down.
“Not really, even if Aurora was there she would have easily ripped our heart out and escaped through the portal. Aurora would have done nothing because she too would be running away from the alpha king than seeking revenge.” He answered.
“Fine, then did she do it because she wants us to die by her own hand?” I asked seriously.
“Well close but no. She did all that because she cares about us as a friend would.” He answered.
I stood up and walked to the table which was at the corner, grabbing the whisky bottle which was there.
“You must be insane to be Joking with me.” I muttered under my breath.
“Do you think I can joke with you in this current situation?” He asked seriously.
“No,” I answered, then opened the bottle and drank from it before putting it back.
“Samantha might be good to us Axel, but she is not going to help us for a second time. We used our promised favor, remember? There is just no way she is going to agree on either advising us or helping.” I said honestly.
“Then let me handle it.” He answered as he took over.
“Fine,” I responded in a whisper.
He turned, walked to the desk, and grabbed the land phone dialing her line.
As her phone rang, we waited patiently for her to pick up.
“What the fuck do you want Ian?” She asked immediately she answered her phone.
Axel kept quiet without responding for a few seconds.
“Axel,” I called silently while she cleared her throat.
“Axel right?” She called calmly.
How the hell was she aware that it was him on the line?
“I need your help, Samantha.” He answered.
“What now?” She asked mockingly.
“An old alpha king is after my mate. His goal is to wipe all that stands in his way to get to her.” He answered.
“And how is that my problem, Axel?” She asked coldly.
He chuckled softly then smirked.
“If I die by his hand will you live with yourself knowing that you failed to kill us?” He asked seriously.
The line went quiet for a few minutes before a response came.
“You can’t die by anyone’s hand but mine.” She answered loudly.
“Just as I thought Felix. So will you help us out or not?” He asked seriously.
She groaned loudly then sighed.
“I will help you out Axel, but you will still die by my hand once we settle your shit.” She spat.
“Perfect. Then be here by tomorrow if you don’t want me dead.” He said then cut the call before she could respond.
“Do you think it will work out fine?” I asked in concern.
“Of course Ian. Felix may have pride but she values us. She will be here by tomorrow.” He answered, then pulled back and gave me control.
I walked out of the office and went outside the pack house.
As I approached the training field I could hear a she-wolf whimpering loudly and my warriors laughing loudly.
I quickly matched there and saw two warriors standing in front of a trembling she-wolf laughing as she sobbed in silence.
Blade, the twins, and a few other warriors were busy chatting and seemed to pay no attention to whatever that was going on.
Her hand was injured and bleeding and two warrior bastards seemed to take pride in that.
I took in a deep breath, released it, and approached them.
Immediately they saw me, they gave a quick bow.
“Alpha.” They greeted me.
I ignored them and stood in front of the lady kneeling down with my hand extended to her.
She quickly lowered her gaze and whimpered loudly. I could see that she was in pain and her wound wasn’t healing at all.
“Look up.” I commanded as she quickly did.
“What happened?” I asked softly.
“I stumbled and fell down.” She answered in a low hoarse voice.
“”Don’t lie,” I commanded.
“Well um… the warriors….” She began, then bit her lower lip.
“She won’t talk.” Axel said softly.
I stood up and turned in a second striking the warriors down.
As they screamed in pain, I watched mercilessly.
Both their faces were badly injured. The first one had his lip almost ripped off and the other warrior’s eye was almost taken out.
Blade and the rest of the warriors were all looking at me in shock.
I looked at my bloody hand and sighed loudly.
“I didn’t want to soak myself in blood.” I whispered then turned and faced the lady who looked horrified by my actions.
“Stand up,” I commanded seriously.
She quickly stood up and faced me.
“I believe my warriors owe you an apology and by warriors, I mean all who are present on this training field.” I said loudly then glanced at Blade coldly.
He quickly rushed to where I was as the rest of the warriors followed behind.
He stood in front of the she-wolf who was looking at us in horror.
“On your knees, apologize.” I commanded strongly.
They all went to their knees with their gaze lowered to the ground.
“I hate repeating myself.” I whispered.
“Miss, allow me to apologize on behalf of our men as the pack delta. I am sorry for not interfering when these assholes were hurting you. I will see to it that this never happens again.” He said seriously.
The woman looked at me then sniffed and nodded.
“This will be the last time they treat you like this. No, it will be the last time they mistreat any she-wolf. You have my word as their alpha.” I said seriously and meant every word.
