I walked into Sherry’s bedroom with a smile after making sure Blade was outside the door of the basement guarding it.
She quickly stood up and walked to me happily. I put the empty whiskey bottle on the ground proudly and looked at her from head to toe
“Finally you are here.” She whispered then wrapped her arms around my neck.
“What, were you waiting for me?” I asked playfully.
She dropped her hands and took a step back.
“Of course I was. No man has ever made me feel the way that you do.” She said softly then pulled her blouse over her head.
I smirked and approached her, wrapping my arms around her waist and pulling her closer to me.
“Are you being serious right now or just boosting my ego?” I asked seriously.
The smile on her face instantly vanished.
“I am being serious Neo.” She answered.
“You really know how to win my favour, that I acknowledge but going this far is insane.” I whispered softly.
She moved her hand and touched my cheek gently.
“Why don’t you believe me?” She asked softly.
“Because I know I can never be better than the alpha. Me being better than Blade, yes, just not the alpha.” I answered honestly.
She chuckled then dropped her hand.
“A few years ago I stopped sleeping with the delta.” She said as I blinked in disbelief.
“What?” I asked loudly.
“You heard me Neo. I no longer fuck Blade. Yes, I do give him a hand and blow job here and there but there is never a day that I allow him to go all the way. Seeing how I am Luna and how he no longer has interest in me like he did back then, He decided to keep quiet and let it slide.” She answered.
“Why?” I asked in shock.
It was a clear order from the alpha for her to serve us and him… If she no longer wanted to fuck Blade then that meant she should have done the same with me.
“Well, let me put it in simple words. I am with the alpha only for two good reasons. One is to fulfill my duty and secure my Luna position. The second reason is to make you alpha.” She said.
I was stunned by her sudden revelation, I stood staring at her in silence.
“How dare she!” Vision growled furiously.
I swallowed hard then burst out in laughter.
“You sure got me, Sherry. Wow, that was an amazing act, for a second you even made Vision respond.” I said between laughter.
“I am not bluffing or messing with you Neo!. Don’t you feel it?” She asked loudly.
My laughter instantly died.
“Feel what exactly?” I asked on top of my voice.
“The attraction between us. This attraction that’s unlike any other emotions we have ever felt. When we are apart there is this unfulfilled gap. When we are together we feel complete. Us making love is magic and whenever you are hurt or sad my heart aches, do you not feel that?” She asked loudly.
I took in a deep breath and released it. I understood exactly what she was saying and I felt exactly like she did. But that didn’t mean I wanted to be alpha or betray Ian’s trust!.
“I admit it, Sherry, I do feel that, but that doesn’t mean I’m crazy. I have never wanted to be alpha and I’ll never be.” I spat seriously.
Vision was angry too with her suggestion.
“Think of what you can achieve if you were the one leading!. You would have it all, riches, power, servants, and much more, me. I would pledge myself to you and you alone.” She said as I frowned and folded my hands in fists.
As much as her words sounded nice, I wasn’t going to betray Ian.
“Nice try Sherry, but I am not going to betray my alpha.” I answered seriously.
“Oh well, that’s too bad because you already did.” She said with a wide smile.
“What do you mean I already did?” I asked quickly.
Her gaze went to the empty bottle of whiskey then back at me.
“You already gave him an overdose of Otis that can not only kill the strongest being in seconds but can’t be inhaled or tasted when taken.” She answered.
I quickly rushed out of the room and went to the dungeon. Blade was nowhere near the door and that came as a relief.
I unlocked the grill door and walked in.
A cold shiver spread throughout my whole body at the site of Ian laying on the cold ground looking unconscious. His skin was entirely pale and a lot of blood was on the floor coming from his nose and mouth.
I quickly rushed to him and knelt down pressing my fingers on his neck to feel his pulse.
A sigh of relief escaped me when I felt it. It was low but still there.
I was about to move him when I inhaled Sherry’s scent.
I stood up and turned to face her as she approached me.
I furiously moved and grabbed her by the shoulder while Vision took partial control.
“What did you do?” We asked.
She looked us straight in the eyes and shrugged.
“I did what any she-wolf in love would. Just because I can’t feel the mate pull it doesn’t mean I am incapable of loving. I love you Neo, that’s why I did it. This is all for you. My plan was to have him fall in love with me and then later drive him crazy. But since that slave showed up everything fell apart. I had to think fast and take action, that’s why I poisoned his whiskey.” She answered as Vision fully took over.
I watched as her eyes switched to her wolf’s.
“It’s either him or us mate.” She whispered.
I was in shock over what her wolf had said, but for some reason, Vision was calm.
“He is my alpha.” He growled loudly.
“Not anymore!. You can’t save him no matter what you do. He drank a huge overdose that will kill him in a few hours, finding a cure is impossible that we both know. If you were to summon a witch it would already be too late. No matter what you do he will die, so now is your choice mate. Hand us over to our pack members who will kill us, or get rid of his body and convince everyone that he broke loose and ran away. The choice is yours.” She said softly.
Vision growled loudly then dropped his hand weakly.
I could feel his confliction. Over handing her over to the pack or protecting her evil deeds.
“Vision, if she really is our mate then….”
“She is.” Came his reply.
“What!. Really?” I asked happily.
I cared less about Ian’s death, to me, she was worth more than anything. Even before finding out that she was my mate, I was crazy about her.
“It’s nothing to be happy about she murdered the alpha.” He growled.
“No, she didn’t. The alpha went out of control, injured you, and took off for the border. No one is around and everyone must be locked up in their rooms. You can shut Blade’s mouth once you take over as Alpha of the pack.” I said seriously.
“I am no alpha.” He growled furiously.
“Then kill her, go on and hand the love of our life to face her death,” I said loudly.
He kept quiet then growled loudly again and faced her.
“I’m the worst.” Came his response.
And that was enough for me to know which side he was taking and choosing.
And that was our mate’s.
