Chapter-58 Who’s daughter?

Book:Mr. Volkov's Obsession Published:2024-10-15

When Aaliyah reached the area where her dad’s location was showing, the first thing she noticed or heard was the sound of guns going off.
Unlike earlier, she can’t possibly be reckless here anymore. This might really put her dad’s life in danger, and that’s the last thing she wants to happen.
Taking out her pistol, she nodded at Hudson before they started rushing inside the area. Matthew and the others were fighting on the ground outside the area, so this was a good chance to get inside and free their dad while most of the team was distracted. Once they free them, things would become much easier.
As she walked inside, she turned around the corner, barely dodging the person who attacked her with the dagger as it sliced her hands, and Aaliyah winced in pain before she kicked the person away.
“Miss Aaliyah, are you -”
“I am fine. Find dad,” Aaliyah grumbled before she bit her lips.
The cut looked quite deep from the blood pouring out, and Hudson pressed his lips into a thin line. Protecting their leader was his duty, but he also knew to ensure nothing happened to Aaliyah.
“Here,” Hudson tied his handkerchief on her wound, and she smiled gratefully before walking inside.
“Stay behind me. The people here are more cunning, and I won’t be surprised if they are the main gang members,” Aaliyah said.
“Let’s split,” Hudson said, and all of them went in different directions to look for Harry.
‘Dad, where are you? Just make some noise to let us know your location,’ Aaliyah sighed.
There was no use thinking about it. It’s not like her dad can hear what’s going on inside her head.
Walking further inside the area, Aaliyah felt a creep rising to her skin. Her intuition said that something was about to go wrong, and as much as she hated to feel that way, her heart was drumming inside her chest because of the underlying fear.
All the negative things were clouding her mind and making her dizzy. What if something happened to her dad? What if he is not here, and all this tracker thing was found out by the axe gang, and they used this area to trap them?
Matthew said they found dad. Did he really see him, or did he comment that based on what the attackers might have told him? Everything was unclear and unpredictable right now.
The burning pain in her hand was making her want to get this over with as quickly as possible.
However, this area felt like a never-ending mirage. The more she headed inside, the more lost she felt. Aaliyah was sure now that the base she blew earlier was just a cover-up for this place.
Things would’ve been okay if she was allowed to blow this place too. If only her father wasn’t here, but then again, why would she be here if he wouldn’t?
Shaking her head to concentrate on the matters at hand, Aaliyah widened her eyes when out of nowhere four people jumped in front of her. Judging from their fighting stance, she wouldn’t be surprised if they knew martial arts.
She had been kickboxing for years, but nothing could compare to martial arts. And if they were professional, she was a gone case.
“Need some help here, Miss?” Aaliyah heard Hudson’s voice, and she sighed in relief, the fear in her heart subsiding as she knew that Hudson was a black belt in Martial arts.
These were some reasons she was still not a part of the gang. She lacked in so many areas, and she hated herself for it.
Just hardening her heart to death and blood wasn’t enough. She needs to become stronger physically too, which is looking like a far-fetched case right now.
Seeing Hudson fighting gang members like a professional, Aaliyah walked ahead with her pistol in her hand to find in which room her father was captured.
Coming here alone would’ve been really a rash decision. Thankfully, she was quick to call Ashton for reinforcements.
Aaliyah still doesn’t understand how her father could act so foolish and come here with only a few men, even after knowing what the Axe gang was thinking.
Opening different doors one by one, Aaliyah gulped a little, stopping in front of a room when her intuition said something was behind the door.
With trembling hands, she was about to open the door when Hudson removed her out of the way and entered to look for any harm.
“Sir,” Anyone could feel the edginess in Hudson’s voice, and Aaliyah walked inside, looking at her father, who had freed him and killed the three men who might have been guarding him.
“Aaliyah? What are you doing here?” Harry asked, shocked.
“Now is not the time to talk about these things, sir. Don’t look at her warily like that. If it hadn’t been for her, we could have never found or saved you. Let’s get out of here first,” Hudson was quick to defend Aaliyah.
Harry could feel that something has happened outside that has gained Aaliyah Hudson’s favor, or he always opposes her and says she shouldn’t be involved.
Meanwhile, Dominic and Bryce came to know that Aaliyah and everyone had gone to the second main base of the Axe gang, where her father was held captive, and they rushed to the site.
Honestly, Bryce still couldn’t believe that Aaliyah was capable of something like this. When they reached the spot, they couldn’t help but look at the scene, mortified.
They have had their share of gang battles, but they have never heard of someone wiping a base like this. Does Aaliyah really have that kind of connection? And if yes, why were they never able to suspect anything?
She looked like a normal teenage schoolgirl who was a bit mischievous and loved to mess around.
“Bryce, order everyone to handle the matters here. I will go and look for Aaliyah,” Dominic stepped out of the car with an expressionless face.
As he was about to enter the building since everyone was busy fighting, a guard suddenly pulled him away, and he was about to push the man, thinking he was attacking him, when the building in front of him crumbled.
“Dominic! Are you okay?” Bryce rushed to Dominic’s side, and he nodded before looking around.
Seeing Aaliyah’s brother, who had arrived at the meeting with her, Dominic walked to him.
“Where is Aaliyah? Is she safe?” Dominic went straight to the point, and Matthew pressed his lips into a thin line as he looked at the building.
“Hudson!” Matthew ran towards the man who was supporting his father.
“Are you okay?” Matthew looked at Harry.
“Do you think I am so easy to kill?” Harry chuckled before hugging Matthew when he saw his son getting emotional.
“Stop acting so tough. Do you have any idea how scared I was?”
“I am sorry, son. I didn’t mean to worry all of you. You know my rules. I couldn’t leave my men here captured to die when their families were waiting for them. I can’t even imagine how angry she would be right now. You did a great job in handling everything. I am proud of you,” Harry patted his shoulder, and Matthew sighed.
“I barely survived. Honestly, it’s not me. If Aaliyah hadn’t come at the last moment and handled everything, it wouldn’t have been possible. She was the one who told us about your location here,” Matthew sighed.
“That kid has grown up well. Her mischief saved my life today, no? Where is she anyway?” Harry looked around.
“What do you mean? She had gone inside to save you,” Matthew scrunched his brows.
“Yeah, she saved me, but she left after that. Didn’t she come out?” Harry’s gaze flickered, and he turned around with difficulty.
“Aaliyah!” Harry shouted.
“Miss Aaliyah!” “Aaliyah!” Everyone started to look around.
“Mr. Dominic? What are you doing here?” Harry asked as everyone was looking for Aaliyah, but Dominic didn’t bother to reply.
“Did Aaliyah call you here?” Harry asked again, and Dominic looked at him with a concerned look, his gaze catching something.
“Wait. You are the man who came to sign the document from the eagle eye gang. You are the leader?” Dominic’s words shocked Harry.
“I think you are mistaken -”
“I am not mistaken! This tattoo, the height, position of that birthmark on your neck, your hairstyle, the complexion of your hands, the color of your eyes, everything is too similar to mistake it. Don’t tell me she came here to save you!” Dominic wanted to strangle the man for whom Aaliyah risked her life.
But wait. Didn’t Katherine say she was here to save her father? Does that mean her father is part of a gang, or was he captured here with this man?
“Do you know her father? Were you the one who put his life in danger?” Dominic walked towards Harry dangerously.
“Dominic, calm down. You can’t -”
“Don’t tell me to calm down when I can’t find her anywhere!” Dominic growled at Bryce, who immediately took a step back, and Harry, who witnessed this, looked at the man in front of him with mixed emotions.
He wasn’t a fool to not know that this man loved his daughter, but didn’t Aaliyah say he was her teacher? Were they having some kind of explicit relationship? His daughter wasn’t that kind of girl.
So was it one-sided?
“I think she is somewhere in the building,” Matthew broke out the news, and the vein on Dominic’s forehead popped in anger.
“Dominic, where are you going?” Bryce walked behind Dominic as he saw him throwing the crumbled parts of the building here and there.
“Dominic, stop it. You won’t be able to find her like this,” Bryce shouted.
“Aaliyah!” Dominic shouted, not listening to anyone, and Harry’s heart softened at the scene in front of him.
So there was someone who was so much in love with her?
“Mr. Dominic, don’t worry about her. She will be alright. Nothing will happen to her,” Harry placed his hand on Dominic’s shoulder.
“Don’t give me this crap, leader of the eagle eye gang. It’s because of your gang that she is in trouble. How can you say she is alright when she is nowhere to be found?” Dominic scoffed.
“I know she would be alright because I know her,” Harry said, and before Dominic could say anything, Aaliyah walked out from behind the base with soot all over her face.
“I think I still don’t know the basics. I need more practice,” she walked to them while dusting her pants as if it was nothing, and Dominic glared at her.
“Mr. Dominic, what are you doing here?” Aaliyah raised her brows before turning to her dad.
“Are you okay -?” she couldn’t complete her words when Harry smacked her head.
“Who told you to do this? Stupid girl, do you have any idea how worried I was?” Harry pulled her in for a hug, and Dominic’s jealousy flared up.
“Worried about her? Who are you fooling? You didn’t even try to look for her,” Dominic said, and Aaliyah raised her head before pulling away from her dad and looking at Dominic.
“And who are you to decide whether I was concerned about my daughter, Mr. Dominic?” Harry asked, amused, and Dominic looked at Aaliyah for confirmation, who smiled helplessly.
Walking closer to him, she looked straight into his eyes, sighing when she saw concern and anger.
“You heard it right. The leader of the eagle eye gang is my dad,” Aaliyah held his hand before standing on her top toes, making Harry raise his brows.
“Don’t be angry anymore,” Aaliyah whispered in Dominic’s ears, and he looked at Harry before looking at Aaliyah.
