Chapter 16

Book:Romantic revenge woman Published:2024-10-15

Simon Smith dispatched everyone and sealed off the entire coastal city. Not even a fly was allowed to escape. He actually found the Owen family before the police did. But instead of turning them in, he took them to an abandoned garage.
“What are you doing?!” My father trembled in fear as he looked at the dark crowd before him. Simon Smith stepped forward and kicked him to the ground. “You’re the reason Laura lost her happiness.”
Was he seeking revenge one by one? Did he think he could eliminate my resentment this way? I scoffed; I was curious to see what he would do.
“It’s not me, it’s not me! They did it, it has nothing to do with me!” My father, frightened, tried to escape but was grabbed by Simon Smith, who yanked him by the collar and twisted his fingers sharply backward. My father’s face contorted in pain as he screamed heartbreakingly.
Tsk tsk tsk. The fingers are connected to the heart. His hand was ruined.
“Does it hurt? Laura was once tortured by you like this.” After saying that, Simon broke one of his fingers. He then shoved him into a water tank, repeatedly pressing his head down until he struggled to breathe and passed out.
Next was Hollie Owen’s mother. She was locked up with wild dogs, covered in blood, clutching her head and screaming. Simon Smith still felt it wasn’t enough and ordered someone to sprinkle salt on her wounds.
I watched in stunned silence, eyes wide open, as she fainted from the pain. When she woke up, she was doused with a bucket of cold water.
“I’m innocent! Why are you doing this to me? Why?!” Simon Smith crouched down and looked at her. “Innocent?”
“Your daughter killed her, she killed my wife.” A hint of loneliness flickered in his eyes.
Hollie Owen’s mother went mad, “It’s all Hollie Owen’s fault! That bitch did it; it has nothing to do with me!” It was quite laughable. At this point, when disaster struck, everyone was fleeing.
However, Hollie Owen didn’t know that her mother had already abandoned her. By the time she woke up, it was already dark.
Simon Smith stood with his back to the light, expressionless, in front of her. “Simon, what are you doing?” As Hollie Owen tried to move her sore arms, she realized that her hands and feet were tied up.
Simon Smith said nothing; he just threw a bottle of glue at her. The glue rolled to Hollie Owen’s feet. Her smile froze instantly on her face. That was the bottle that had killed me.
It had been four days since Hollie Owen escaped.
“Why are you doing this?” Simon Smith tried hard to calm himself, but the veins on the back of his hand revealed his anger. When Hollie Owen looked up, she saw her mother lying in a pool of blood not far away.
She screamed in terror, looking at Simon Smith, “What are you going to do?”
“Why did you harm Laura?”
“What do you mean I killed her? Even if I hadn’t been there, she would have died, wouldn’t she? Have you forgotten? You were the one who locked her up! I just helped you a bit… ugh…”
“Shut up!” Before Hollie Owen could finish her sentence, Simon Smith tightly gripped her neck. He certainly knew he was the true murderer. But he didn’t dare to admit it.
Was he afraid?
I let out a cold laugh. Was he afraid I’d come back for him in the dead of night? Hollie Owen’s face turned red as she struggled desperately.
“Cough, cough, cough… stop it…”
“Simon Smith, what are you pretending for? You don’t love her at all! Stop lying to yourself!”
“No way! I love her! I love her!” Simon Smith was gradually losing control, tightening his grip on Hollie Owen.
“Love her… cough, cough, cough… she’s still dead… you killed her with your own hands.”
“Simon Smith… you’re disgusting…”
“Shut up! Shut up!”
Simon Smith stood up and poured the glue into Hollie Owen’s mouth. I was so scared I hurriedly stepped back. The scene before me reminded me of my last moments.
Before long, Hollie Owen could no longer make a sound, her eyes wide open, staring at Simon Smith as she lay on the ground convulsing.
At that moment, the warehouse door was kicked open. The police had arrived.
