“Rosalind… what did she tell you?”
Malcolm was still unclear about the situation, so he couldn’t speak recklessly.
However, Ulric’s current attitude greatly shocked him!
It was evident that Rosalind held a very important place in his heart because Ulric’s current dejection was not an act.
“She said being with me is exhausting.”
After saying this, Ulric instinctively reached for a cigarette. Opening the pack, he realized he had already smoked the remaining half while waiting for Malcolm.
Malcolm took a deep breath and feigned calmness, “So coming to me for help is useless. She’s the one who feels exhausted.”
Ulric lifted his dark eyes and met Malcolm’s gaze.
Despite the weariness in his eyes, the innate sense of pressure was impossible to ignore! Just standing opposite Malcolm without saying a word, his noble and cold demeanor already overshadowed Malcolm’s presence.
A light breeze gently blew, slightly lifting the strands of hair on Ulric’s forehead.
After a long silence, he broke it by saying, “I want you to go abroad, leave here. I want her to have no other option. Malcolm, I don’t want to hurt anyone around her. I know how much she values Tilda as a friend. That’s why I came to you personally.”
The implication was clear: he had laid out this path. If Malcolm refused to leave…
“Mr. Walters, are you threatening me?”
“If you’re trying to take my wife away, shouldn’t I threaten you?”
He admitted to the threat, but what could be done about it?
Malcolm chuckled, “But Rosalind is also someone I want to cherish. And choosing me was her decision. If Mr. Walters truly loves her, you should respect her choice.”
“I can respect her in everything except this.”
Except for leaving him, that was non-negotiable!
From the moment he received that text and knocked on Rosalind’s door, Ulric knew clearly that he was utterly lost for her. He couldn’t escape his fate with Rosalind!
He loved her cautiously and carefully. After finally seeing Rosalind step by step come closer to him, he absolutely couldn’t accept that all his dreams for the future would be shattered overnight!
“But what can I do, Mr. Walters? I only want Rosalind too! There’s only one of her in this world. If I give her up to you, where would I find another? Moreover, she said she doesn’t love you at all. What’s the point of forcing her? Why not just let go?”
Malcolm spoke these words with a sense of finality.
He didn’t know what Ulric might do to him in his rage and didn’t dare imagine it.
The only thing he was sure of was that Ulric wouldn’t easily agree to a divorce today.
Also, he had underestimated Rosalind’s importance in Ulric’s heart.

Upon hearing this, Ulric’s tall figure stiffened, “Did she tell you that?”
“Of course, and her mother also said I’m more suitable for Rosalind than you.”
Suddenly, Ulric reached out and grabbed Malcolm by the collar, pinning him against the wall.
Due to Ulric’s height advantage, Malcolm was lifted off the ground, only his toes barely touching the floor, making him look extremely disheveled!
“Don’t make me find out you’re lying!”
He couldn’t believe it; he couldn’t believe Rosalind would tell someone else she didn’t love him at all!
