But after hanging up the phone, Caesar did not send anyone to stop him.
He thought that if his wife had seen the look in their son’s eyes just now, she might have also reconsidered from the bottom of her heart…
Just from that look, he had no doubt that Ulric would really sever ties with him for Rosalind.

After leaving the hospital, Ulric got directly into the car.
Even without him saying anything, Cedric knew where to drive.
On the way, Ulric kept calling Rosalind, but there was no answer!
“Did you contact Rosalind today?”
“No, she said she was going for a physical check-up. I thought since she rarely asked for a day off, it would be inconsiderate to ask about work.” Cedric paused and continued, “After you instructed me earlier, I tried to contact her too, but there was no answer.”
Ulric’s thick brows furrowed, his dark eyes fixed intently on the phone screen.
The car quickly arrived at Easthaven Bay. As expected, when the door opened, the place was empty!
Rosalind was not at home.
Seeing the sky already darkening outside, he became more certain that something had happened to Rosalind.
After thinking for a moment, Ulric said to Cedric, “Go to the hospital where Rosalind’s mother is.”
“Yes, Mr. Walters.”
Just as the two were about to get back in the car and head to the hospital, they suddenly saw a car driving towards them.
Since Easthaven Bay is a high-end residential area with very few residents, and Ulric’s house was specially reserved as a private area during construction, he could almost be certain that Rosalind was in that car.
Ulric was about to reach out and open the car door when he saw the car stop first.
A familiar figure got out from the driver’s seat and walked around to the passenger side, saying something to the person inside.
It was Malcolm.
Ulric stopped what he was doing and watched what was happening over there.
Soon, Malcolm bent down and helped someone out of the passenger seat. When that small face appeared, Ulric’s pupils involuntarily contracted!
That petite figure-who else could it be but Rosalind?
Cedric, sitting in the driver’s seat, was stunned! Was he witnessing his boss being betrayed?
“Mr. Walters, Miss Ruell might be-”
Before he could finish his sentence, the person in the back seat had already gotten out of the car and was striding over there!
“How are you feeling? Should I…” Malcolm’s words were cut off as the person he was supporting was taken away.
Looking up, Rosalind was already in Ulric’s arms!
“What’s wrong? Are you feeling unwell?” He looked down at Rosalind, his voice devoid of any discernible emotion or jealousy.
“I’m fine.” Rosalind replied coldly and calmly. Instead, she looked at Malcolm and forced a smile, “Thank you for bringing me back. You should go rest now.”
Malcolm glanced at Ulric, hesitated for a moment but said nothing. He nodded, “Tomorrow… I’ll accompany you.”
“Okay.”
Rosalind nodded, watching him get into his car and drive away.
Ulric accurately caught the key point from their conversation, “What will he accompany you to do tomorrow?”
“Nothing.” Rosalind seemed very tired, her eyes downcast as if she didn’t want to say another word to him.
Cedric, who had run over fearing they might argue, quickly interjected, “Mr. Walters was worried about you. When he saw you weren’t answering your phone, he immediately left the chairman’s wife at the hospital and came back to find you!”
“Oh, really.”
Her tone remained flat and indifferent.
“Rosalind.” Ulric knew something must have happened. He tried to catch her gaze but failed repeatedly. “What exactly happened?”
